Getting a ride on Poparide is so seamless and safe

Poparide is giving flexibility and trust to drive, however the fair is still low for drivers

Such a convenient and necessary service to make travel more affordable, enjoyable while we reduce our carbon footprint.

I hope that Poparide can be promoted and imbedded in Canadian cities’/towns’ transit options (much like Blabla car is in Paris and perhaps across Europe) to help give Canadians more sustainable transportation options.

I am writing where because Yoali made a big mistake in which he handled my suspension.
I was previously suspended because I had a line in my description that was deemed to referred as providing custom trips/door to door. I immediately made changes and have removed any reference to that. But when Yoali went to review if I had made any changes, he picked up a trip in the future, which has already been cancelled to check if I had made the changes. Ofcourse the changes don't apply to already cancelled trips in the future as they cannot be edited. Instead of checking a previously completed trip, that has the updated and correct description, Yoali just randomly picked up a cancelled trip from a Future date with the old description. I kept begging him in the chat to look at my recent completed trips on August 7 and August 8 to see my updated description. But he just ignored me. It seems like in their system, they don't have a way to see which trips were created after a previous suspension ban and a poorly trained representative who doesn't pay attention will just look a cancelled trip from a future date with the old description. This happens also because once a trip is cancelled, it doesn't get removed, it stays there. So for a certain date, even in the future, there can be multiple trips still showing in your account, which will have previous descriptions, and you can't edit or remove them either. Another way to check my my description is to just look at the new templates that I have used to post last few trips. But I think the main objective is to ban as soon as possible. And worst of all, you get no email about the reason why you were suspended or banned. I never got any emails not before or after a suspension, Nd no reason, why it was suspended. The chat is the only way, but once you are suspended you can't talk to a human properly and you get bot responses.

Unfortunately you are lying about providing warnings. Infact I have yet to receive any email, and it is impossible to get a response from you. You are also accusing me of things that you neither warned me about not explained. The only reason I even found out the reason for my suspension was because I had to spam your chat bot with questions until someone finally replied with one explanation. Again I was not given a single opportunity to explain myself. Even now , when I posted here and you finally replied, u didn't mention why there was difference in the reason for suspension given on my account verses what was given by your customer service. You also still didn't confirm if my last few trips, after my initial suspension had any violations , because there are non since I found out the reason. You are dishonest and distrustful organization and not having support in Canada is probably the reason why you shamelessly accuse Canadians.

Super useful App, great community. Finding and booking a ride is a breeze (my usual trips are between Vancouver and Squamish).

I’d improve some small things like making UI a tiny bit more intuitive for people “on the go” trying to find info about their driver (car make). Also the experience of requesting a refund wasn’t super clear (not clear what the driver sees on the other side of it). But other than those small things that can be improved - great App.

Great experience with Poparide! The app is easy to use, the whole process was smooth, and everything was well organized. I had a great experience as a driver and would definitely recommend Poparide to other drivers and passengers. Looking forward to using it again!✌🏼😇

Yes today was fantastic, the way I got passengers today, I don’t think I’ve ever gotten it like this before, since i joined or became poparide driver. I would have had a full load if I was that free to go anywhere in Toronto.

My girlfriend booked a Poparide trip that was advertised as 2 hours 15 minutes for a 200 km journey. The driver was using a Tesla.

She arrived 30 minutes early, and the driver was already waiting. At the scheduled departure time, she asked how long the trip would take. Only then did the driver reveal it would actually take **2 hours 45 minutes**. They did not voluntarily inform passengers beforehand or explain the reason until asked.

The delay was entirely avoidable: the driver had failed to charge their vehicle before the trip and stopped shortly after departure to charge for about 30 minutes.

I contacted Poparide to ask about their policy because I believe withholding known, avoidable delays until departure is unfair to passengers. Their response was that drivers are encouraged, but not required, to notify passengers in advance. Poparide's position was that because passengers can decline the ride at departure and receive a refund, the policy is fair.

I strongly disagree.

Informing passengers only at the departure time creates an incentive for drivers to wait until the last possible moment to disclose delays, making it far less likely that passengers will cancel. By that point, passengers have already travelled to the pickup location and have little chance of finding an alternative without spending more time and money.

If passengers receive advance notice, they have a realistic opportunity to make other travel arrangements and still arrive on time. If they are only told at departure, they're effectively forced to choose between accepting the delay or scrambling to find another ride after already investing time and money to get there.

This policy prioritizes driver convenience over passenger rights and allows preventable delays to occur without meaningful accountability. I hope Poparide revises this policy, but until then, I would encourage travellers to consider whether they are comfortable with a service that permits drivers to disclose avoidable delays only when passengers have the fewest practical alternatives.

Great application for ride share. Easy to use and coordinate trips.

The car was clean and confortable

​I booked a ride for my family (3 people) from Sun Retreats Sherkston Shores to Toronto. Eng went completely above and beyond for us! When our checkout time unexpectedly changed to 11:00 AM, he generously adjusted his entire schedule to pick us up directly at our chalet.
​He was punctual, communicative, extremely helpful with our luggage, and provided a safe, smooth, and comfortable drive all the way to Toronto.
​You couldn't ask for a better driver. 5-star service all around—I highly recommend riding with him!

I booked a ride with this company leaving Ottawa to Ajax for a funeral

First of all while waiting for my 545 am pickup I saw two homeless people having sex and a drug deal going down at 140 St George street!

Our van picked me and one other person up we left at 545 and then immediately turned around to pick up a red bag that the driver did not open the entire trip ! So now it is 6 am and we are 15 min late!

The next stop we picked up two more people!

The third stop we waited for his friend who was 15 minutes late so that makes us a half hour late!

The girl beside me brings out jerk chicken and eats this at 730 in the morning !

The next stop we filled up in Brockville even though we were going to stop in Kingston and there is a gas station right next door

We picked up two more people at the MacDonald in Kingston and then go through the drive thru for the driver and his buddy to get a coffee and now there were 8 people squeezed in this van😡 the only comfortable people were the driver and his buddy 😡

The driver has his ear phones on the entire trip talking on the phone and rap music was blaring the entire trip and his buddy next to him is dancing to his loud music!

I arrived over half hour late and almost missed my ride to the funeral

Today July 28th I confirmed my pickup with the same driver at 1030 am only for him to cancel my trip at 11am stating car trouble lol

I booked a real bus at 330 pm and Arriving 830pm 4 hours later than planned in Ottawa

I call it my Pimp mobile ride with Poparide

Never again 😡😡😡😡😡

Very good so far..it has been worth it really
