Just passed my driving test first time with instructor Naeem Ramzan from Middlesbrough!! Highly recommend him for your lessons if you are the Teesside area!

I can't thank my instructor, Simon, enough for the help and guidance he gave me to help me pass my driving test, first time. He is a very knowledgeable guy, who teaches you to drive in way that makes you know you are learning skills that are going to set you up for life.
He makes you feel at ease the minute you start your lessons with him, and makes the lessons fun and enjoyable.
I honestly can't recommend Simon enough. One of the best instructors in West Yorkshire ever.

Avoid Pass N Go – Extremely Disappointing Experience

I would strongly advise anyone considering Pass N Go to think twice before booking lessons.

My son completed 21 driving lessons, costing around £38 per lesson, only for the experience to end in complete disappointment. His instructor, Rahat, cancelled the last four lessons, including the use of the instructor's car for his practical driving test, citing personal issues. This left my son without any lessons in the crucial weeks leading up to his test and, more importantly, without a car to take the test in.

After 19 lessons, we were never provided with any meaningful progress report. There was no clear indication of what areas he had mastered, what still needed improvement, or whether he was genuinely test-ready. As parents paying a significant amount of money, we expected far better communication and professionalism.

What makes this even worse is that when the instructor pulled out, Pass N Go failed to find an alternative instructor. We were simply left to deal with the situation ourselves, despite having invested hundreds of pounds and trusting them with my son's driving tuition. Being abandoned just before a driving test is completely unacceptable.

Yes, the refund for the cancelled lessons was processed within a week, but that doesn't make up for the stress, inconvenience, lost preparation time, and the fact that my son was effectively left high and dry before one of the most important milestones in learning to drive.

The money refunded doesn't compensate for the wasted time, disrupted learning, and lack of support when it mattered most.

Based on our experience, I cannot recommend Pass N Go. If you're looking for a reliable driving school that supports its learners all the way to test day, I would look elsewhere.

I honestly couldn’t have done it without her guidance and encouragement. I passed 1st time with zero faults.

If you’re looking for an instructor who truly believes in you and helps you feel calm and capable, I can’t recommend Marina enough. Thank you for everything! 🙌

I had my first lesson with Lee today and I loved it. It was very well structured and he explained everything so clearly. It’s given me more confidence and looking forward to more lessons.

I spent just over a month learning with grant after two failed tests with previous instructor, I could not recommend him more, the confidence boost he gave me was incredible and after passing I feel confident and ready to drive xx

I drove with Qaiser in Coventry, and passed first time. I had a great experience, he never rushed me and he always made me feel comfortable in my driving. I’m so happy i had him as my driving instructor and i would definitely recommend him to anyone.

I had Rachel Armitage in Barnsley. I turned 17 on 6 May and I just passed today! Got me through everything and is sooo reassuring. She truly makes you feel like you belong in that car and so ready + calm for your test. Her instructing is amazing, not only does she like to make it fun/ exciting she is also so professional. Her booking calander is so easy to use and she's always on time for her lessons. Would absolutely reccomend her if your in Barnsley- and Pass n Go in general!

Big shout out to Lesley for being a big help! I was beginning to struggle with getting everything booked for my intensive driving test. Quickly responded Emails were quick to come back and after just one call everything was sorted. She was able to make everything makes sense and now I'm all set up to so I can relax and just get on with learning!

I booked a slot of 10 hours and it was awful, waste of money. The first lesson I was told I couldn’t drive because of the address on my provisional license, I was a uni student, so the first 2 hours I was sat in the passenger seat whilst he drove me around, waste of £70. The second lesson he said it was alright and I could drive? However the next 4 lessons, I only spent around 20 min out of the 2 hour slot driving? Such a waste of money. He would also make me stop every lesson so he could have a cigarette outside. There was also a time where I had a lesson at 7:45am and he messaged me that he overslept, very unprofessional. There were also some sexist comments from him saying women react more slower on the roads. Would not recommend, they just waste your time to get more money from you

I couldn’t recommend Rachel highly enough! I passed my driving test today on my very first attempt, and I genuinely couldn’t have done it without her.

Rachel is an absolutely amazing instructor — patient, professional, supportive, and incredibly good at explaining everything clearly. She helped me build my confidence behind the wheel and always made sure I understood not just what to do, but how to become a safe and confident driver.

I’m truly grateful for all her patience, encouragement, and support throughout my lessons. Passing first time was such an amazing feeling, and I owe a huge part of this achievement to Rachel and her excellent teaching.

Thank you so much, Rachel, for everything! I feel incredibly lucky to have had you as my instructor and would wholeheartedly recommend you to anyone learning to drive.

Omar is a very good driving instructor who knows absolutely everything about the roads.

I passed today with only 3 minor faults.

My daughter was taking crash course with pass and go the instructors father unfortunately died the week of her test. We contacted pass and go to be told they don’t have there own driving instructors they are all franchisee and there was basically nothing they could do to help us out go through there appeal process. They even said can we not find another instructor to do it as they couldn’t cancel someone else’s lessons who wasn’t taking there test that week as it was unfair to the other person. Then they said could I not hire a car once again at my expense this company is absolute disgrace I wouldn’t advise anyone to use them. There call center open 9 till 1 for complaints but there sales team is there all day they care about money and money only not there customers worst company I have ever dealt with ever.

£700 wasted on my first instructor.
I even made a complaint about her (Joanne) and asked to change after my FIRST lesson but nothing happened. I was told there would be a 6 week wait for another instructor and I dont think anyone even looked for someone for me.

My complaint, as below, was never followed up from by the escalation team and no compensation offered after I told them I feel like she wasted 10 weeks of my time and £700 of my money.

I was basically told that the instructors are 'not employees of Pass N Go' - therefore they hold no accountability for the instructors actions, which i think is absolutely terrible.

My original reasons for complaint:

She told me not to book my test in advance (meaning i had to learn wtih her for longer).
She was openly racist and would rant multiple tes every lesson.
She cancelled multiple lessons last minute, which instead of refunding, she reserved lessons which she told me not to accept (fiddling the books).
She caused a negative atmosphere in the car when she got angry.
Her instructions were not clear, then had a go at me if I didnt go the maneuver correctly.
She didnt mark my lessons correctly on my track record.
She asked a few times to change the lesson to suit her, when I said no, she would then cancel the lesson with a poor excuse.
She stopped for a cigarette break mid lesson once.
She didnt actually explain what I had to do in order to fix something I was doing wrong while driving.

I changed instructor myself and already have more confidence after a few lessons compared to 10 lessons with her.

The main thing here is, no accountability for their instructors actions. Plus, they didnt do anything about someone being openly racist.
