Shocking service when trying to buy a…

Shocking service when trying to buy a car. Offer made and sent with details and when I call back to pay deposit told it has been already sold. Unprofessional and a dealership to be avoided if this is what they think is acceptable.

My son bought his first car from Parks…

My son bought his first car from Parks (Townhead Garage) Heathfield Road Ayr. The sales advisor Kevin Dorrans gave us an excellent service and made a young man very happy.
Kevin even took the time out to travel down to our house after his work to drop off some paperwork.

I would certainly recommend Kevin to anyone and especially young drivers looking for a first car 🚗

I recently bought a Dacia Sandero…

I recently bought a Dacia Sandero Stepway from Parks Ayr and the service was very good - I knew I would have to wait a while to get one (it was 6 months in the end) but Graham the salesman was excellent, kept me upto date and the car is excellent

A few years ago I had a terrible experience with Parks with a Nissan X Trail and vowed never to return - however they were the only realistic dealership to obtain a Dacia from. Fortunately, this time, the experience was 100% and the car is great. Thank you

Gordon in Nissan sales

I had excellent service from Gordon in Nissan new car sales, he was thorough and very attentive. Sadly I didn't buy my Nissan here because of Parks inability to price match or even try,leaving me no alternative but to buy the car elsewhere in order to save a four figure sum. Gordon did a fantastic job and I feel he was let down by the company policy.

Appalling lack of customer service.

We bought a new Volvo from Park's of Ayr in March 2020. Because of covid we did very low mileage ( approx 4,000 miles ) before it's first service was due.
In March this year it went for it's first service. After only 3,250 miles after Park's had serviced the car a warning message came up saying oil level low fill with one litre of oil. I was surprised and concerned at this . I have had many new cars of various makes and NEVER had to put oil into a car after 3,250 miles from being serviced .
I contacted the service department and asked for their thought / explanation why this situation had developed. That was over a month ago . First of all the service manager was to contact me ,then when they had not I went back asking what was happening and was told the person was on leave and they would get the workshop manager to answer my concerns. I went back and ask them to reply to me within a week as I was concerned about the matter. That was some three weeks ago and I have had no reply ! I find it appalling that they think it is acceptable to ignore customers like this .
The upshot is I will never set foot on Park's premises again. They have no idea what customer service is. If I had read Trustpilot reviews before buying the car I would never have considered doing business with this company. So I am now trying to get an answer out of Volvo which is also proving difficult !
Look like it could be my first and last Volvo.

FIAT Reception are hard to get through…

FIAT Reception are hard to get through to, and useless when you do. Invoices not detailed with check list of what’s been actually been done.
My vehicle was returned late and dirty with no windscreen wash after service. Now don’t know exactly what’s been done or checked
Absolutely terrible service from a main dealer and I will not give them any more custom

Meet My Expectations

Received my car back yesterday From Parks Citroen East Kilbride after 2 weeks of shocking service.
Put my car in for a simple diagnosis, I was Quoted £111.
By the time I received my car back yesterday it had risen to £4492. With no work done.
Parks Citroen East Kilbride have told me (This is copied from their email to me) "Unfortunately we are clearly unable to meet your expectations and as such I would suggest that you exercise your right to use a different Citroen dealership as we will no longer pursue or support a relationship with either yourself or your vehicle."
That was very nice of them to stop me going to "PARKS CITROEN EAST KILBRIDE".
It would be easy to get annoyed for being "Barred" from using Parks Citroen East Kilbride, but it is actually a relief.
There is a clear lack of leadership in the service department. No one responds to online forms, no one phones back despite leaving details. How do they monitor communications? I don't think they do. They do not record calls because they would then be accountable for what they say. e.g. Your repair will cost £111 and then 2 weeks later to be told its nearly £5000.
Do they have meetings to discuss how well the service department is performing? clearly not because if they did they would not be allowed to treat good honest customers the way they do. One member of the service team was rude and obnoxious. But Parks Citroen East Kilbride wont know that because they don't record calls.
I have submitted a form to the Motor Ombudsman as well as involving Citroen UK.
So Please be aware whatever your expectations are, it doesn't matter, what matters is what "PARKS CITROEN EAST KILBRIDE" want you to accept what their expectations are.
So to summarise. If you want a call back, or a reply to an online form, OR for Parks Citroen East Kilbride" to honour a quote , This Citroen dealership is clearly not for you.
However If you want to be treated with no respect, except a quote that won't get honoured, or hope to get a reply to a phone call or online form then PARKS CITROEN EAST KILBRIDE" is the company for you. But I guess like me you won't want to be treated this way so go to a real Citroen service centre where your custom is valued and your expectations will almost certainly be met.

Avoid Parks Honda.Particularly Inverness Dealership

Bought an approved used Honda CRV from Parks Honda Inverness.. within a few months and not many miles the car developed a fault that causes the car to only drive at 30mph.. having had the fault diagnosed Parks Honda Inverness said the part would take a few weeks but the car could be driven safely, however when a car houses into “Limp mode” and won’t go over 30mph it certainly isn’t safe to drive.. requested a courtesy vehicle from Parks Inverness but they flat refused as they have stated it’s my problem and not theirs .. that’s an absolute disgrace.. so now we have no transport , we are pensioners and bought what we thought was a reliable car from a reputable dealership.. neither of which is true!! So avoid Parks Honda, Inverness in particular, their customer service is non existent abd once they have your money they simply do not card!!

12 weeks - no parts.

Bought a used Ford Focus from the Parks of Hamilton Ford dealer in Perth. The car itself was good - however had a few minor issues (damage to centre console trim, broken interior bulb, water damage to boot matting, no car mats fitted). Due to the fact that it was mid-covid and the dealer was an hour from my home, I agreed to take the car on the day to avoid a repeat journey, under the agreement that Parks would source replacements of the above items and send them to me. It is now 12 weeks since the date of purchase, and still nothing has been sent. I have phoned a number of times to chase up the matter to no avail, just met with excuses or promises that the parts are on the way. Stereotypical car sales - your best friend until they see the money then not interested after that. Avoid.

E-Pace purchase from Parks Inverness

I recently purchased my new Jaguar E-Pace from Parks Jaguar Inverness. The sales team were particularly helpful and helped me choose a car from dealer stock, as my initial order couldn’t be completed by JLR due to a lack of parts.
This attention to detail and willingness to go the extra mile, turned a frustrating time into a pleasant car buying experience despite the COVID rules. Everything was explained and a handover video was provided along with links to Jaguars IGuide app.
Overall I’m delighted with both the vehicle I have purchased and the customer service from the team.

Hassle Free Car Purchase

I recently purchased a Honda CRV from Parks Honda dealership in Ayr. Dennis Hay and Kevin Robinson were professional, courteous and a pleasure to deal with from initially making an enquiry to completing the sale. Would happily recommend this branch to anyone looking to purchase a new or used Honda.

I was genuinely surprised to read some of the negative reviews of Park's Garages, but I guess the level of service you receive will vary depending on the individual staff working at that location.
This the 4th car I've bought from this garage and I have always found the staff to be professional, polite and very helpful. In particular the salesman John Renicks who I always seem to end up buying my car with is particularly helpful and knowledgeable about the stock of cars he has and if there is a particular model / colour you are after he will go all out to find it for you. He is very patient going through all the deals available for you and taking the time to explain each on to you. He will always find the car you want on the budget that suits you.
Even on this occasion where the were a few technical hitches which was actually the fault of Suzuki John kept me informed by phone to let me know they were still working on the issue and the moment it was resolved he was back on the phone to let ,e know my car was ready.
in summary all I can say is that if you come to this garage you will be certain of receiving good service. As i have said at the start - this is my 4th car i have bought from this garage - if i had received bad service i would not have been back!

AVOID THIS COMPANY !!

If you want to have weeks of arguing , being lied to your face by the sales team , washing their hands of their responsibilities, contradicting each other and having to really argue your case to have issues that were on the vehicle before you bought it and were told they would do be fixed then look no further .

Poor service from the sales team and it is very obvious that when they have your cash they could not care less about you .

If you have to have a potentially deadly fault ( leaking exhaust into cabin ) fixed then don’t expect any help from Parks .

I had weeks of stress , lies , fighting to have issues repaired that I was told had been done and being fobbed off in the hope I would go away .

When after only 3000 miles I reported a potentially deadly exhaust leak into the cabin I was told they would not fix the issue under warranty however they would charge me £114 per hour to fix it .

When you try to complain they put up the very people that you wish to complain about to phone you and pass the responsibility onto members of the parts dept.

When you try and speak to head office you get fobbed off with assurances that someone will call you back . They never do .

It was explained to me that any work that needs to be done after the sale has to be authorised by the same sales team which then comes out of the profit on the vehicle . It is obvious they are not going to spend anything on you as they have your money and do not care about you .

Very poor experience with the sales team from Parks Irvine and my advice would be to avoid them .

If however you do decide to buy a used vehicle get it checked over by the AA or another inspection company prior to paying for it . If Parks refuse to allow it then walk away . I would have given up my £200 deposit had I known what was in store .

Pay the deposit if possible on a credit card as this will give you certain rights and protection should you need to use them later .

If you do decide to do business always have a witness and take photos of the vehicle if dropping it off and after collecting it on your undoubtedly many trips back and forth .

Do not under any circumstances purchase…

Do not under any circumstances purchase a Range Rover from the Ayr branch of Parks. This branch are what can only be described as totally useless. They have no interest in you should you have warranty problems, software updates or Land Rover Recovery issues caused by their own incompetence. Can I also suggest management start by teaching the sales staff how to use a telephone, if they cannot operate a keypad they have no chance of actually dealing with slightly more technical problems. We spend £62k with this company and I was on the brink of spending a considerable sum purchasing a Jaguar F Type as we started to have problems with the Range Rover. Somebody was looking over me as I took my business elsewhere and bought a 911

You'll be sorry if you use this company!

Do not, I repeat do not buy anything from this company. Nearly one year has gone by and for every mistake they have made from financial errors, putting my private plate on then losing the paperwork they're meant to send to the DVLA. I still don't have my private plates on, they're expecting me to resolve this error of theirs again. Broken promises throughout the last 11 months and that isn't even me telling you about how long it took them to fix the scooshers on the car I purchased in February 20. All NHS and key workers stay clear, we don't need the extra stress at this time, absolute joke and poor communications. Gutted I can't put a negative star on here to match this company.

Purchased a car at irvine branch and…

Purchased a car at irvine branch and two weeks later when i went to get fuel i find that the cable for opening the flap is broken.They obviously knew about as they toppedcar up before sale.Im now out of pocket by£30 just to get the flap opened and now its totally broken and struggling to fill car.Take it from me,CHECK ANY CAR OVER BEFORE BUYING.

I have had nothing but good things to…

I have had nothing but good things to say about the service I received here at parks, Kia in Kilbride. Stephen in particular went above and beyond with his customer service and made me feel reassured throughout my purchase. After purchase, there was a glitch with the car and this was dealt with so swiftly and with compassion and urgency. I would certainly buy again from this dealer.
