Dispatcher le bétails
Bonjour
No options for lunch @ the gate @ CDG
I am sitting at my gate & I am hungry. I would pay 50 euros for a simple lunch - soup, salad and wine. But there are only stale sandwiches at an automat! This can’t be France. There is an opportunity here for tourists to spend lots of $$$$$$ but they prefer to push Gucci and Cartier, instead.
Secondly, there are many duplicate loops to jump over. Once I had to show my boarding pass twice within 30 seconds to two people standing a couple feet apart! And coach ticket holders must print their own luggage tags at one location and the drag them to another location where have to scan and put their own bags on the baggage track themselves - that an Aur France “faux pas”. In Boston it happens at one location and you are greeted by a friendly airline employee.
The person checking passports for the TSA regulations was rude and busy chatting with other people he was entertaining. It doesn’t happen this way at Schiphol…I hope tourists coming to America don’t get this kind of frustrating welcome. For tired travelers efficiency is paramount. I suggest if you can, just avoid CDG airport.
I am frequent traveller for business…
I am frequent traveller for business and leisure. This is the worst airport!!!! Travelling with a young kid and we are all been punished!!! Already the queuing time is the longest for normal passenger
It is worst for family with kid and baby
Please don’t come
Worst airport experience ever
Worst airport experience ever. Especially for EU country. Passport control incredibly slow. Over 100 people for one person/agent. Security worse. Unclear what needed to be separated. They took out camera. Incredibly slow at each step and incredibly inefficient. Arrived 3 hours before flight and almost missed the plane.
CDG an airport of busses and endless queing
SAS used to be part of Star Alliance, I thought connecting via Frankfurt, Munich and Hamburg was bad. Now I miss them, CDG is a complete mess. There are busses between all the terminals ???? WTF 😬 there are even busses between terminal the different sub terminals of 2 (2E, 2B, 2C, 2M and so on) ???
And everything is organised, with endless que’s!!!
Will REALLY recommend, and try my hardest to avoid CDG in the future 🥲 waste of time
Passport Control a nghtmare when…
Passport Control a nghtmare when travelling with children.
Staff unorganised, kept moving people to different queues, no idea what they were doing.
Rude and unhelpful.
It was a good job our flight ended up delayed or we would've missed it.
MINUS STARS
So bad
Going through passport control was an horrendous experience very far from international standards. A stewart directed us (EU nationals) to the non EU queue to “move faster”, we stood for an hour. 100 people for one booth.
After going through security, there is no option to have a breakfast. Only luxury shops and Exki where there was again a 45min queue. Two slow employee, taking their time. No sense of urgency anywhere at the airport. No sense of customer service anywhere.
Even at the Sheraton hotel located within the airport, we seem to be bothering hotel’s employee.
And then, when I wanted to send feedback on the CDG feedback page, guess what… you can’t submit feedback, error “you have taken a wrong turn”.
Yes I have certainly taken a wrong turn.
One hour wasted at security – inefficient and rude staff at CDG Terminal 2B
I would like to share my deep disappointment regarding the security control process at Charles de Gaulle Airport. Yesterday I lost almost an entire hour at the security checkpoint — not because of any issue with my belongings, but because every single item I carried was inspected in a painfully slow and inefficient manner.
Both of my laptops were removed from their cases, every cable and personal object was checked one by one, even my toiletries were opened and examined — all while maintaining a complete lack of courtesy or empathy from the staff.
I have travelled through many airports across Europe and beyond, and I have never seen such a combination of excessive zeal, disorganization, and poor customer treatment. It was an unprofessional, exhausting experience that left a very negative impression.
I truly hope this feedback helps improve the efficiency and human aspect of your security process. As for me, I will make every effort to avoid passing through Charles de Gaulle Airport again in the future.
CDG and Air France are disappointing
Hard to believe that this airport and Air France has a high rating. After a flight was canceled the service was horrible as we had to stay overnight somewhere. Rebooking took hours and the option I got was worse.
Th airport itself is not that great compared to Schiphol etc: WiFi is bad or not working.
If I could give zero stars I would
If I could give zero stars I would. Arrived at CDG Friday 17th October. Absolute nightmare. Left standing and queuing for over an hour to get from the plane to border control. It wasn’t as if they were doing finger printing or anything special, it was just the normal passport machine. Everyone with a European passport was moved to the front of the line and British passports etc had to wait. I queued nearly as long as I was in the air travelling from Edinburgh,
In need of a refit & attitude adjustment
The airport appears to suffer from several issues. The first is it seems the airport has expanded by adding rather poorly air-conditioned or heated warehouse-construction outlying terminals with narrow gangways and some long, metal-roofed, non-air conditioned gangways that become absolute ovens in summer.
To access these terminals one must navigate a rather poorly signed, part-rail, part long walks, multiple (and I mean many) escalators, then line up for busses that lead to these terminals that are reached via singularly the most circuitous and lengthy bus rides of any airport I’ve flown through. Except perhaps Doha, but the latter’s because they’re building beautiful (read, not warehouse-style) new terminals and the busses are a temporary measure.
Secondly, it’s Paris. And staffed by Parisians, or Paris-proximal staff. They have a globally notorious *reputation as simultaneously rude, dismissive and arrogant. Personally, while at CDG, I’ve found this generally true to varying degrees for about 50% of staff, a serious problem with about 5%, and the rest OK to very helpful.
Unfortunately it only takes the operations and attitudes of the lousy 50% to tarnish the pleasant, helpful folks.
*I should add I am a very well seasoned traveller, observer of cultures, and have lived longer-term in 5 countries across four continents. I can discern intentionally rude, dismissive, abrupt and/or arrogant from differences in respective cultural norms. And at least at CDG - it’s unfortunately intentional in those ca. 50%
Not sure what CDG could do about the latter, if anything. But the airport could definitely use a major infrastructure overhaul. Particularly inter-, and intraday-terminal signage and transport.
Charles de Gaulle airport more than frustrating.
Charles de Gaulle airport was quite a nightmare. The self service machines , of which there were many, and the majority did not work. The passport contro, where the passport is entered manually, denied access, so told to queue again to wait for ONE person in control box. Took two hours to get to airside, Really felt like cattle being herded on a farm.
Frygteligt sikkerhedstjek
Frygteligt sikkerhedstjek, det rene kaos og de tog min lille saks, som er godkendt og som jeg altid rejser med
I wish to lodge a formal complaint…
I wish to lodge a formal complaint regarding the appalling treatment I received at the security control of Charles de Gaulle Airport, Terminal 3, on August 18 at 11:45. The behavior I was subjected to was nothing short of humiliating and utterly unacceptable.
The security staff member acted with shocking rudeness and a complete lack of professionalism. In an aggressive manner, she threw away the liquids we were carrying in transparent bags, incessantly and unreasonably questioned me about my makeup, and rummaged disrespectfully through the belongings of my young child, my husband, and myself. Most outrageously, without any explanation or justification, she confiscated my child’s perfume in the most degrading and contemptuous way I have ever experienced at an airport.
The entire encounter left me feeling not protected, but rather harassed—as though we were being targeted and robbed under the guise of regulation. Such conduct is disgraceful for a facility of CDG’s stature.
That Charles de Gaulle Airport has been recognized by Skytrax as “Best European Airport” is beyond absurd. This experience alone undermines the credibility of such awards and casts serious doubt on their legitimacy.

I am extremely disappointed with Charles de Gaulle airport and AirFrance. Our passports and my driving license got stolen. We were in transit and not outside the airport when this happened. I also think it was the airport staff who did it but sadly I cannot prove it.
The police were helpful and kind but didn't look at the case further. Only gave us a police report and that's it. We reported the loss and after a few days the Lost and Found service said they found a pouch and were asking us to pay €48 to return it to us. They didn't take a pic of what they found. This doesn't look like FRANCE one of the richest countries in Europe.
We also interacted with extremely rude airport staff, who were trying to charge us for basically everything. I will avoid flying with AirFrance in future as I think they don't deserve our respect. If everyone would do this, they would change their behaviour for sure.

Thank you to the lovely staff that found our passports one man who handed them
In I wish I new his name he was so helpful and the lovely women who came and give us our passports back after being in such a panic
Security at the terminal is awful
Security at the terminal is awful. No one seems to know what they are doing. Sent one then another. Told to collapse the pushchair then assemble it again. Absolute chaos. So many people trying to get items through for children. Really disappointed at the lack of communication as the airport seems to be modern and clean.
