Worked with a few recruitment firms over the last month and this is by far the worst experience I have ever had.

I had a call from them regarding a job
I had a call from them regarding a job, she sounded helpful and the staff member said she would email me the details and I never received it. I contacted them and got no reply. Waste of time.
Lack of communication
Was contacted on the basis of an old CV on CV Library. Was told that there was a role I may be interested in. Agreed to let them send my CV. Waited a week and a half and got a first interview. Had to do a data sorting exercise (like being given homework) and had the second interview. Have heard nothing in days, not even a no despite being told the agent would know the same day.
The guy I was dealing with called numerous times from different numbers, never left a voicemail but kept sending me text messages. Not overly impressed to be honest. Feel a little like I've wasted my time
Being a loyal candidate for page…
Being a loyal candidate for page personnel for many years due to a family emergency months back I had to leave a role abruptly simon elcombe assigned me. Which I had contacted Simon elcombe about and let him know about the situation. Months later I tried to contact him any potential roles and he messaged me back saying he would not be able to trust me or refer me. Shocking how some recruiters are worried about their bloody commission!!! than a candidates family member who just died. I would definitely not recommend him as recruitment agent. And since then the good relations I had with other agents from the company have stopped responding or calling me. It’s crazy how he’s given me such a bad reputation among team members even though I was one their brightest candidates and most successful.
Simon Elcombe is the worst page personnel recruiter, selfless human being only worried about his commission.

Rude and unprofessional phone manner
I recently had an encounter with one of the staff members based at the Chiswick high road, London branch. Originally I was contacted regarding a temporary part time position and said I was interested in the role to which I was told that I would be put forwards for. After several phone calls (during which I felt she was being quite pushy) an interview was arranged. However, since having a discussion with my current employer and having a think about the job, I decided that they pay wasn't going to be enough and called the recruiter to let her know I wouldn't be attending the interview, even thought I know it was short notice and I apologised for that as well. The recruiter then proceeded to have a go at me and tell me that what I had done was unacceptable and unprofessional. I said that I understood why she felt that way and respected that but at least I had given her some notice instead of just not turning up. She was very rude to me during the call and didn't respect my decision, even after I stated that I've had other opportunities come up which are more suited to what I am looking for. This gave me the impression that she was solely focused on getting her commission and having a new client on her books. She said that she would seriously think twice about putting me up for a job in future and that my decision reflects badly on me, but if this it how I would be treated again then I don't ever wish to work with them and I will find my next role through a more polite and profession recruitment company. Steer clear!
Stroppy
I returned a call from Rosemary, who said she contacted me regarding a role I may be interested in. Turns out the role was one I had applied for, she seems very muddled but that's ok, however went on to tell me that she was putting me forward for the role, great I said, but then she said in order to put me forward for the role she had to see my face, when I ask what my face had to do with the role she stated it was to talk about my skills. Now as we were on the phone at that time we could have had that conversation there and then, like most recruiters do, but no, she insisted she needed to see my face or she would not put me forward for the role, I even offered to send my ID so we could continue talking regarding my skill set, she said no! she was extremely persistent. I found it very weird as I've never been ask to show my face first before being put forward for a role, it was clearly "if your face don't fit" scenario. Rosemary became agitated and got very stroppy, told me she would not put me forward for the role, I was calm and said no problem. What my face looks like has absolutely no bearing on whether I can do the job or not, especially not for an admin role! I understand if the agency does not want to move further with an application on those grounds, that's their choice, but don't get worked up and stroppy over it!
Friendly & Professional
Been working with the Liverpool team for a number of years now. Always friendly and professional. Had full support throughout my placements. Recently secured another position with Samantha Hughes. Expertly placed within a suitable role again. Absolute pleasure to work with. Full ongoing support as usual. Well deserved 5*
Please avoid this company
Please avoid this company. Especially Victoria.
I have only dealt with one person Victoria and each time i had a terrible experience. She has no manners, dont read CV (what technically is her job) and will treat you like you don’t deserve the job. Can’t believe someone is actually paying for her services.
Next step is to inform actual clients about this.
On several occasions I’ve dealt with…
On several occasions I’ve dealt with Page Personnel. They are utterly unprofessional. Here’s why.
The applications I made were strong enough to receive a call back and then after the candidate follows up with PP they always say they’ll call later which they don’t.
Two times PP have secured me an interview, the first was when they confirmed it with me but not the hiring manager, highly embarrassing. A separate event was being taken all the way to a third stage which resulted in generic wish washy feedback. Not all recruiters are bad, but it is no coincidence the average rating is 1 or 2 out of 5.
I am very experienced in my field and…
I am very experienced in my field and yet any application I have made has never been responded to. No phone call or even an email to acknowledge my application. Appalling company. It wouldn't surprise me if many roles they advertise don't even exist.
How companies use their "service" is just beyond belief.
Worst Recruitment Agency -avoid at all…
Worst Recruitment Agency -avoid at all cost
Sent a few applications and it's been weeks not even a phone call. When you call to speak with the consultant they are busy but will call you back, what Horseshit!!
They put fake jobs on indeed...
Age Discrimination
Applied for a job and in the application they ask your age group. Whilst this is not a completely illegal question I am of the opinion the question should not be asked as it smacks of age discrimination. They can deny this all they like but if they were not using the information why ask for it in the first place!!!
Have dealt with far more professional agencies
I spoke to a consultant about a role, and I asked to see a job description before she put me forward for it. She sent over the job description in an email stating she had already sent my CV over to them without me confirming. I don’t want my CV thrown around everywhere without my permission, and I see this as really unprofessional.
Terrible first experience - AVOID!
Phoned the consultant who put me in for my shift who said there had “been some confusion”. Said she’d make a couple of calls then phone me back. She hasn’t, and I don’t expect her to.
Communication about the role wasn’t problematic in any way until I asked about sending my bank details. No response. Thought she would’ve asked for this along with the application form and two references she requested.
Tried to phone her and the main company landline and have rung out each time.
This company is a disgrace and will not be contacting them again. Steer clear.
**Update
Still haven't received an apology from the consultant who said she'd phoned me on Monday 12th October, i.e nine days ago. Absolutely shocked and hope this company goes under.
Not reliable
No response for any application, hence waste of time. Not helpful.
Poor service
I applied for a job via Page. Have had absolutely zero feedback. It's so frustrating you apply for jobs the least an agency can do is come back to you.
Guys don't bother with these people
Guys don't bother with these people. A complete waste of time. Unprofessional recruiters who don't have the decency to reply to the emails you've sent in reply to their own. The only thing of interest to them seems to be their commission at the expense of the most basic common courtesy.
They don't care!!!
Absolute JOKE!! Applied for so many roles that fits my description however I never hear back from them... ever! I phoned Page Personnel to speak to the lady who's in charge of the role - I gave them the job ref ID and then they said the lady is busy and they promised to give me a call back later. You know what? I never got a call back! (Not surprised).
I phoned again the following day to speak to the person who's in charge of the role and she sounded like she doesn't care. She came up with an excuses that this is someone else who's looking after this role and she took my name and number and said someone will call me back... which no one ever called me.
They always come up with only one excuse "You don't have enough experience" I'm competent enough to do a job!
Disgraceful!
This so called Recruitment agency which…
This so called Recruitment agency which incorporates Michael Page are awful in many ways. After working on a contract for over 9 months, I was advised by a reputable agency that they had been paying incorrectly. They made up a rate of pay and was annoyed when they were found out and had to repay over £1100. Their consultants are unprofessional and don't reply to emails or calls. When they want to reach their targets they are over you like a rash, apart from that, don't expect any decent service. Rude and fast talking. Steer clear.
