Easy to use and great book choices
I've had a good experience with OnlineBookClub.org. The review submission process is clear and step-by-step, and there's a good selection of books to choose from. Instructions for formatting and ratings are easy to follow.

Onlinebookclub.org is fantastic in the way they execute and follow-up promotions of my book. Professionally done, very fast responses to any questions. But their website is a bit difficult to navigate.

I am very dissapointment with my experience as a reviewer on OBC. I put that i would be able to review books on Amazon after submitting a book review to OBC because i assumed that it would be a straightforward process. I picked my first free book(required Amazon) and published a review on OBC, i waited before I could review it on Amazon because i saw a "pending" note on the status so i assumed they editors were not yet done, there was no specific note that explained what the pending was for. Subsequently i downloaded another book as i realized that i now qualified for paid reviews. Along the course of reading the new book which also required Amazon review, i discovered that i need to have spent at least $50 on purchase to qualify to give Amazon reviews so i changed my preferences on OBC(FYI i don't reside in USA). Then i got banned. I feel that it was a harsh penalty as i did my best to follow the rules, i was just misinformed. I did email them on Sunday 30 August 2026 but still no reply. The guidelines are very extensive and a bit vague and it's very much likely that newbies will make mistakes, it's very much unfair to have such harsh penalties for mistakes that come from being misinformed.

I really love the opportunities and this platform is very structured and outright. I've enjoyed it, the short time I've been with the platform although, some of the instructions are limited and confusing.....overall, I think it's a pretty good system and an awesome way to read books and grow as a reviewer.

I felt that it was a good experience with this process although, I felt that the review check ins were a little excessive at times. Also if you choose to not finish the book or if there's anything other than a positive statement they don't want to accept it.

My Book of the Day is still a couple of months away, but I had a good experience with the reviews last year. On that note, it would be nice to be able to interact with the reviewers to get more in-depth feedback or even thank them for the review.

OnlineBookClub.org inspires me to work hard and smart. It helps me improve my English language. I learn the art of expression and also earn my livelihood by working with OnlineBookClub.

Great customer service. They followed up with me when I dropped the ball on doing the steps to get what I paid for.

On June 10, 2026 I paid Online book club $148 for reviewing one of my books. I still have not heard back from them even though they cashed my check, and I still have not received one review. and I have not been able to get into their website again to ask what happened to the review they advertised they would give anyone who paid them $148.00. They are definitely scam artists in my opinion and I intend disputing their charge with my bank.

Fast and easy

Working with mentor, Nisha D'Souza, and the leader of OnlineBookClub, Scott Hughes, was the perfect situation for me and any author. They help in all facets of the progress to make your book visible and featured throughout the literary landscape. They always give great advice, and they always respond quickly to important questions. An outstanding company all around.

They let you choose books base upon your liking. You then read it and write a brief review according to their guidelines and get paid!

I was too sick to be bothered with the form and Lo and behold they reached out to me and offered to complete the form and buy a book, so my book, "Lost Cities of the Milky Way", could be included in their reviews. I found Aces High to be an emotional and thought-provoking memoir. Penny Hodgson shares her experiences with childhood trauma and explains how those experiences continued to affect different areas of her life as she grew older. What I appreciated most about the book was her willingness to be vulnerable about difficult parts of her past while still focusing on healing, resilience, and moving forward.

The discussion of Adverse Childhood Experiences, or ACEs, was especially interesting to me. It helped show that childhood trauma does not simply disappear when someone becomes an adult. Those experiences can affect relationships, emotional health, physical health, and the way a person responds to situations later in life. I thought combining this information with Hodgson's personal experiences made the subject easier to understand.

This book can be emotionally heavy at times. Some of the experiences discussed are painful and may be difficult for readers who have experienced trauma themselves. However, I don't think the book is meant to leave readers feeling hopeless. One of its strongest messages is that although we cannot change what happened in the past, it is possible to understand its effects and work toward healing.

One thing I would have liked was a little more balance between some of the trauma-related information and the personal storytelling. At certain points, there is a lot to process. Still, I think that reflects how complicated trauma and recovery can actually be.

Overall, I enjoyed Aces High and found it meaningful and informative. It gave me a better understanding of how childhood experiences can follow someone into adulthood and why addressing trauma is so important. I would recommend this book to anyone interested in memoirs, trauma recovery, emotional resilience, mental health, or personal growth.

I would rate Aces High 5 out of 5 stars.

Website is a bit of a scam and an absolute labyrinth for reviewers.

They assume people are just reading books at a speed that may be unrealistic and then "score" you on how badly you are maintaining their processes.

Then, when you finally review a book, the verification to actually get paid is impossible (I've since resigned from the book club after submitting a review three times to each editor rejecting it for something new) and was never paid for another review I did over 3 months ago. They will send you notifications about not finishing a book fast enough but when it comes to getting paid, there's no notification if you actually need to do anything.

Getting verified apparently appropriately enough requires adding someone on Facebook and paying them or alternatively waiting forever for any kind of response which never actually gets confirmed.

Absolute waste of time unless you are just sitting around with loads of spare time.
