Extremely poor experience — my car has spent more time in the dealership than with me, with no resolution, limited communication, and no accountability from Octopus.
21 weeks after taking delivery of my Mercedes, it has now spent over 13 weeks back in the dealership — and this is already the second time it’s been returned due to ongoing issues.
The situation has been extremely frustrating and disruptive, particularly with Mercedes advising there is no ETA for replacement parts, leaving no clear resolution in sight.
Despite repeatedly raising concerns and formally requesting a replacement vehicle over the past 3–4 weeks, Octopus have yet to take any meaningful action.
Communication has been poor throughout, with delays and a lack of accountability. For a company and brand of this level, I expected a much higher standard of customer care and a quicker resolution to such a serious and prolonged issue.
At this stage, I feel completely let down and would urge others to think carefully before entering into a similar agreement.

I placed my order via the octopus website and was met by well written documentation that gave me the time to read through. No pressure. I knew exactly what was happening. As the process unfolded, I was introduced to Holly - who assisted me via email and telephone to discuss my order. The car was delivered earlier than expected and I had choice and an update. It was all rather seamless. The car handover was good and I was listened to. Great service. My first Ev and lease plan.

Happy with my first Electric Car
Have just taken delivery of my new (first) Electric Vehicle this week. It and charger installation went quicker than expected. Love the car and a great deal. Customer service is excellent with a dedicated person (hi Holly) looking after your vehicle order who will answer questions by phone or email (and with people filling in when they are away). Had been anxious about going from an old petrol Ford to a new fully electric MG4 but I'm glad and happy about it so far!

Top class service from the team at Octopus. Looked after me from the very start of the process, ensuring I was passed onto the correct team during the different phases of the order / delivery / charger process. Always keen to ensure you have and know what you need to. Definitely recommend.
Software Update - Wish I never bothered!!
Whilst our overall experience of Octopus Customer Services has been disappointing, ultimately after 4 months of being without our EV following a simple Audi software update, we eventually got our car sorted and back on the road.
For 3 months our experience with the Octopus customer service team was awful. We were simply moved from one team member to another, each of whom just acknowledged the issue and regurgitated the information back to us, with no real attempt to get the problem resolved. Eventually our case was handled by Tania (Vehicle Operations Specialist) who was far more proactive in getting our ordeal resolved. To the point where she had arranged for Octopus to cancel our contract so that we could look at replacing our Q6 with another model. Thankfully Audi managed to finally get the car back on the road just in time so this was no longer required.
