Poor customer service

Poor customer service, had vehicle delivered for a month hire and air conditioning wasn’t working after 2 weeks of chasing, trips to Kwikfit, ringing supplier finally got it swapped, chased for some reimbursement, told no then ignored all other emails, would avoid, follow up, apparently you shouldn’t expect air conditioning in a car nowadays, absolute nonsense, I would never use again and hope this stops anyone else using said company

Do not bother, quicker to walk

Cars do not turn up at the agreed time, currently over an hour and still waiting, and the agents on the phone do not have any information regarding the drop off/pick ups so you’re left completely in the dark. Promises of a callback(s) never materialise. Shocking service all round.

A replacement van which turned out to…

A replacement van which turned out to be a car with blacked windows. I have several cars but as part of my insurance I was allowed a replacement until my vehicle was fixed, however, when the supposed van/car arrived it wasn’t a van, there excuse was ‘ the van we was going to deliver was broken into so we can’t send you that one’ when the truth of the matter was they couldn’t find an automatic van which is what I required! So story goes on…. I decided I won’t drive this estate car because I already have an estate car so just left there vehicle parked up until my van was ready, took there estate car to the garage and collected my van. Two weeks later they said ‘oh there are 3 chips on the front window screen, which I disputed with pictures, there pictures you could barely see anything. I’m being charge £167.00 for chips on the windscreen which has nothing to do with me, I drove it for 20 minutes the whole time I had. Bottom line is one word SHYSTERS!!!!

Great solution for large fleets.

Coming up to a year with Nexus and the service has been great. We operate a large fleet of 500+ vehicles and use Nexus for our short term vehicle hire requirements.
The IRIS portal is brilliant and allows us full visibility and control of our short term hires. The account management team are extremely approachable and make the effort to understand your business to ensure they are adding value.

A breath of fresh air

Nexus have really changed my day to day working experience. The pain of vehicle hire has been removed through the online portal and business partner Joshua. The ease of managing bookings, invoices, P11d, through the portal is extremely smooth and brought benefits to multiple areas of the business so we can concentrate on additional tasks. Josh has been alongside us every step of the way with exceptional customer service and support.

Great Support

As we enter our third year as a working supply partner with NEXUS to say we are impressed is an understatement. Their level of engagement from the start was beyond what we expected it to be. Their booking system is tremendous and seamless. More than anything, despite having market leading systems, procedures and service levels, it's the ability to get help and support when needed that really counts. There is no such thing as perfect on every occasion in vehicle supply so on the rare occasion there is an issue, they are fast, caring and efficient at getting a resolve on a problem. We have also found them to be very helpful with additional training or explanation of working practices, system interaction and procedures too. It started as a partnership and continues to be so. The whole system of events that takes place to get a rental vehicle to a client isn’t underestimated. Our work front and centre is always appreciated.

Avoid Like The Plague

Two days late to collect a hire car. No way of contacting them. Dreadful company. The fact that their phone line charges you is a scam.
Non-existent customer service. Do not use.

1/10 CUSTOMER SERVICE

I can only say I have never been treated with such lack of respect or care in my life.

I spoke to woman who told me her name was Fatamah (she wouldn’t give me her surname as apparently that’s against policy).

I explained that the rental car I had been given was smoking from the Bonnet and smelling of gas, potentially likely to explode and this was an emergency. She told me that as this was a Sunday, offices were closed till Monday and I would need to wait for a callback until then.

When I said would I do if this was on the side of a motorway she said I’d have to wait to discuss that on Monday with whoever rings me.

She then hung up on me.

It turns out that nexus had sourced the vehicle from an independent rental company. I managed to get the guys mobile number and he got the AA out within 30 minutes.

They told me not to drive the vehicle as it could explode if going at high speeds and it would need to be recovered.

I was fuming and concerned, she completely left me with no help and a vehicle that was smoking and smelling of gas. I then had to do her job for her and speak to the independent garage myself. I will be raising this complaint as high as I possibly can but for now I’d like to beg people to avoid using this company. Worse customer service I have ever seen and the employee need to be disciplined or sacked.

Appalling service

Appalling service. Received an email from Halfords that they got me a courtesy car booked on the 12th for the 13th. I only received a text from Nexus now (15th) saying they need my card details hence why my car hasn’t come. So now more waiting time for the courtesy car.

Do not use nexus

Do not use nexus. Go directly to local suppliers as rates and service is better. The customers and their experience are not the priority to Nexus. Operations Director and her team don’t support or respond to issues.

To anyone who is thinking of booking a rental vehicle!! Please I urge you not to use this company Nexus Rental . They really are the worst most unprofessional rude company I have ever had the misfortune to encounter Doing business with. Their customer service is very dismissive of any questions or queries you may have. And somehow they always come up with the same excuse as to why they have not delivered your rental car on the booking that you made maybe 2 to 3 weeks prior . They will advise once you’ve had to call them. Really sorry the car that was booked for you has been collected and has had severe damaged caused by an accident, and sorry we do not have any other vehicles for you at all in any of our branches . Well why wasn’t I at least informed of this the answer was I don’t know . I work for a company who books any car that I need to have hired for any reason my own is out of use and this is not the first time this has happened by my rental company contacting Nexus A year ago I had another vehicle rental booked. All the booking confirmation came through as the same as this one again I had to call on the day because the vehicle hadn’t arrived and no guesses for what I was told. Really sorry but we’ve collected the vehicle that was booked for you and it’s had severe accident damage. This is not supposed to be a funny comment more realistic. I think the job description to work for this company would be as long as you can tell customers the vehicle has had severe accidental damage you’ll get the job . But Seriously, please people do not use this rental company. They are absolute rubbish. Even the company that book any rentals for me. I’ve just spoken to a very nice lady from Alphabet who said even she couldn’t get any sense out of them and they were very blasé with any questions. I think that says it all.

Halfords are just as bad

Halfords are just as bad - hire car booked by them for myself. Credit card details passed at 08:00, follow up call made at 11:00 - yes car will be with you at 14:00!!!

Never arrived - had to cancel hotel/miss an event and other costs etc.

You’ve been warned AVOID - use someone else as you’ll only regret it

No Aftersales Support

Changed the price on a rental, then did not answer any emails or messages. The livechat just said they couldn't help as I needed to contact CreditControl direct, CreditControl did not answer any emails or messages. When I called through the CS rep said there was a mistake on the costs, and that they would get back to me that day. They did not get back to me.

I have an upcoming rental where the prices vastly differ between the invoice and the newly stated costs so I have no way of knowing if I am going to be hit by additional charges. They do not respond to any emails, or calls.

EDIT: They got back to me saying that they couldn't rectify it and it was best to cancel the rental. Great.
