Constantly changing timelines no one gives you correct information
Awful company to deal with they constantly delay the process of transferring your shares to another company, always have to chase if something has been actioned to which they advise they have until a certain date shortly after this date they then advise a further two weeks ask to speak to a manager to complain they advise they will get back to you (never do) if I could rate zero I would but I have to give at least one star

If I could give this a zero I would. I've spent hours just trying to create an account and login. I've spent weeks going back and forth with 'support' and still nothing. I'm questioning if this is a intentional practice to keep small shareholders from voting and having their say.

I used the MUFG Corporate markets (UK) online facility to sell my certificated shares that were originally with the registrars LINK.
At some stage it appears that the registrars changed and MUFG provided the dealing service.
They are CRAZY expensive: £56 minimum charge and 1.5%. The deal cost me over £1000, compared to AJ Bell who charge £5.00!!
And I must wait for my money, so we'll see how long it takes. MUFG would appear to be a Japanese group - M for Mitsubishi.
Two stars because it was quite easy to register and initiate the deal which was documented within 24 hours and dealt at slightly above the minimum price I had specified.

Dealing with my late fathers…
Dealing with my late fathers shareholdings- I completed the online form for each company he held shares in as there wasn’t an option to pick multiple, only to receive an email to say that wasn’t necessary followed by a further similar email but in a condescending tone. Rather than then being able to apply the death certificate etc to all shareholdings I am then having to go back and forth chasing them up to confirm each shareholding separately. I tried to ring them about it, on a number they listed on one of the emails, only to be told it was the BP line (dad had no BP shares). The line then either cut off, or they hung up on me. There is also an issue with a share certificate which it looks like they have ‘lost’, they are not responding to me about it and if it was their fault they caused my dad upset and stress before he passed away.
Their administration is diabolical!

MUFG has a terrible 1* Trustpilot rating, ITS NOT MY EXPERIENCE.
Needed to sell a quantity of shares and completed sale with MUFG over the phone with instant live deal pricing. Their commission rates were slightly higher than Equinity but not extortionate. The only reason scored at 3* was a 2 week delay in payment. However, after contacting them again payment was paid by bank transfer the following day.
I do tend to agree with many commentators MUFG do have to up their game as far as improving communications by call centre staff.
As an aside, I had inadvertently destroyed a number of share certificates and MUFG was efficient in replacing them all although paying the indemnity and fees was a costly exercise.
Should be ashamed of themselves.
Shambles of a company.
Wouldn’t trust these scumbags with a fiver, let alone tens of thousands of pounds in shares.
Exercised an option to transfer shares I had with MUFG into a stocks and shares ISA I have with my bank, and was told this would be actioned within a matter of days.
Two months down the line and I’ve still not received these shares. Just been on the phone to them to ask about when I’ll have them, and they’ve advised I’ll have them by January 2026.
So just know if you hold shares with MUFG, and want to transfer them elsewhere, it could take 4 months (if not longer).
Customer service is useless too. Explain the situation to them and they don’t try and help or find a solution, just give you the option to make a complaint. I wouldn’t need to complain if you’d actually just help me!

Just sold my company shares and made a loss of 5k - now I understand share prices change but when they should sell within 2 weeks of instructions and took 3.5 weeks to action mine this then happened when stocks completely dropped!! Has been a terrible experience- no one can ever answer a question. Disgusting service to make that much of a loss from poor service

Waited 15 mins on the chat after being told by a bot to provide all of my personal data - nothing - not indication of being in a queue or wait time. I gave up on the chat and here I am.
Do not waste your time
Rating this company even 1 stars is too generous. Been trying to sell shares since March this year, constantly providing all relevant identification documents as requested in order to do so. Everything has to be posted to their office, weeks will pass & you have to follow up yourself, email responses take atleast 1 week which are just a generic response & don’t answer the actual enquiries you have. If you call, be prepared to wait atleast 1 hour on hold only for you to have to explain your situation all over again, they will then come up with some other form you need to mail (despite not having mentioned this in any previous correspondence with them) & refer you onto another team who will ‘get back to you’ (suprise, they don’t). They will also tell you they haven’t recieved forms despite the operator you spoke to the prior time confirming they have been received. This has been consistent with MUFG pension & their estate team, disgusting that they get away with it & should be investigated. An extremely time consuming & stressful experience. Still awaiting to sell shares.
terrible move your stocks asap
This company makes it really hard to sell your shares.
They want to post you out security codes just to be able to transact on your shares and have no other option as moving to another broker requires even more paperwork and takes longer. Meanwhile you could be loosing hundreds of dollars per day while you wait. They needed to be reported to ASIC

Inexperienced staff do not know what the are doing tried to get an explaining of the charges and started talking about something else. Shame on BP to go to a cheap company like for their administration MUFG Pension & Market Services LINK Group was much better.

I tried to change banking details online. All shares changed except 1. I tried contacting them by email and phobe and they did not seem to care that 1 out of 6 did not work. They sent me hard copy stating which ones had changed plus the 1 that hadn't. Just told me to try again, there must be a problem with their IT system.

The company is refusing to sell our shares and owes us more than $5000. We now have to involve AFCA because of them gatekeeping our money. This is a corrupt company using ‘policy’ to stonewall and gate keep your funds. We’ve proven who we are, signed all the forms that they’ve asked us even paid the fees and now they’ve rejected it not told us and are not selling our shares. This company needs to be investigated and fined. We need to proceed with government bodies and ombudsman to fight this. Disgusting
Terrible customer service
If I could give a zero, I would. The customer service is dreadful. After 11 (I just counted them) emails to them, I still have no answer to my question and no direction as to how I can move forward. This started in April. ‘Support’ referred me to email addresses that either don’t exist or are not ‘manned’. They have referred me to ‘forms’ that don’t exist when you look at their website forms list. Avoid this organisation like the plague. If it’s possible, AFCA needs to look at this.

1 star is about 10 stars more than the Australian MUFG outfit deserves. Outdated systems, awful service, archaic security measures and a clunky website that probably runs on software from the 70s. Transfer employee shares away as soon as humanly possible, to ANYWHERE else.
Dreadful website!
I've been transferred to this site by a supplier. It is terrible and outdated.
When registering it continually auto-populated boxes with incorrect info and the error messages refer to the data that was correct.
Had to re-create a password 4 times to get past verification.
After spending over 1 hour trying to register I gave up and rang them. Closed at 2pm on a weekday.
When I did get through (3 days later) they didn't answer the question I was asking. I managed to solve the problem while the advisor was running through stuff I'd already checked. Total lack of listening.
Time consuming and dreadful experience. Sadly my provider uses them so I've got to use it.
