James W came out to sweep our chimney and did a brilliant job from start to finish. The service was impeccable — professional, thorough, and tidy. James himself was lovely to have in the house, friendly and easy to talk to.

The previous owners of our house recommended that we use Milborrow to service the wood burner and coal fire, and I’m so pleased that they did. Seven years on and we still use Milborrow every year and the sweeps are always polite, friendly, clean in their work and thorough. Dave came to clean out the wood burner a few days ago and I would recommend him and Milborrow to anyone needing a reliable chimney sweep. Keep up the good work.

I have been using Miborrow Chimney sweeps for nearly 12 years now i have them visit every year to clean out my wood burning stove. Very reliable and friendly staff. Phil was excellent. He explained to me how to light the fire and tips to maximise the heat efficiency. His expertise has left me feeling for more confident using the log burner. Plus his quality of cleaning and regluing a part was first class. I would highly recommend Phil

Phil popped round to clean the chimney for our wood burner. I mentioned to him that we had a large crack in a firebrick and he was extremely helpful and was able to carry out a repair on the brick. Phil gave the wood burner a thorough clean and spray. It looks super, great job, many thanks.

We have been using Milborrow Chimney Sweeps in our current house since the early 1980's when Kevin took over from Mr Milborrow We have an old Baxi Fire installed I think in the 1970's which is constantly used during the cold months.
Not all operatives have the charm factor but they all do an excellent job. I am quite a discerning user and certainly if I had any doubts I wouldn't have kept using Milborrow's for all these years

Just had Phil around to sweep our open fire and wood burning stove chimneys and he was a joy to have. Thorough clean work and some great advice on carbon monoxide detectors and the overall health of our fireplaces. We will certainly continue to use Milborrow Chimney Sweeps!

I had a gas stove installed this week. (It looks like a wood burner but without the hassle!)
Three amazing guys carried the work, all very capable and well qualified, but above all extremely pleasant, courteous and punctual. My house is very old, so this was not a straightforward job, but Jordan, Max and Dave just completed it with a good grace. It was a pleasure to have them in my home for two days!

As an owner of a 3–bed 60s-built terrace, I always imagined that it would not be possible to install a wood burner in the centre of my property. So, on the off-chance, I reached out to Milborrow to explore the possibility, and, to my delight, they were able to provide a total plan and build.

Tim and Ben provided excellent customer service, on-site technical know-how and were great to have working in my home. The project came in under budget, and was completed in the forecast timeframe. Very much recommended!

My elderly mother (97 and 6 months) had not used her gas fire for several years and wisely asked me to get the fire and chimney safety checked. Jordan from Milborrow was very kind and professional as he assessed the situation. My mother speaks very highly of Jordan and is very grateful for his identification of a high carbon monoxide reading. This was caused by heavy spiders webs in the flue and rectified by a sound sweeping. The fire is not hazardous now and my mum can use it, secure in the knowledge that it is safe. Just as trades should be… but add extra gold star! Arrived on time. Today, courteous, friendly, patient… do very clean. Explained the paperwork…. Have several payment methods. Ive used for several years to sweep chimney and wouldn’t use anyone else. Highly recommended. Louis was fab…extra kudos!!

These guy are great. They come on time, they give good advice, they help with the bits I can do myself, they safety insure/ensure my wood stove flue in a wooden house, they smile, joke, love dogs, they understand what wood is good and what is not, they make me laugh.

They are family for me.

I've used this company for a number of years and always found them to be friendly, efficient and professional and the sweeps themselves always helpful and friendly.

I stupidly ignored the negative reviews of this company, but couldn’t agree more with the 1 stars reported here.

Management has been incredibly rude, overcharged us for a service that was not delivered and when trying to resolve they resorted to yelling down the phone.

They admitted on the day that they had sent the wrong person - a chimney sweeper rather than someone who could do the survey requested. We were then charged a full fee for a survey and sweep (when no survey was conducted) and told they changed their mind later on, and they could see from the road what was needed so quoted for further work?!

I would highly recommend using them at all costs.

Another annual sweep from this company who always know the solution when problems occur. The annual sweep is always done efficiently with sound advice and we wouldn’t go anywhere else. If you think the price is high remember: you get what you pay for and a chimney fire would cost you a fortune as well as the damage.
