I have been a VIP guest at Meriton Suites for well over 2 yrs. I usually stay at the Zetland Suites but thought i’d have a change and i booked for one night at the Waterloo Suites. I now know that was such a bad mistake. Why? Because one of the male employees at Waterloo behaved inappropriately towards me. I will not go into details but i ended feeling scared and very unsettled with staying there that night. I will just say this I did not confront the mail employee or let anybody know because I feared that I would be told to leave.. I was in Sydney from Newcastle. I was by myself and I did not have the money to stay anywhere else that night. I also took three weeks to report it because I was fearful that I wouldn’t be relieved., as sadly this is the case for many women when reporting such behaviour. When I reported it, I spoke to a duty manager who was female. She said to me because of the seriousness of the nature she would have her superior call me about the matter. When I did talk to her superior, he told me that the male employee gave him a completely different version of events and they would not take the matter any further. Totally unacceptable and unprofessional behaviour on his part. I’m now taking this matter of further. I have been in touch with a woman Support Line, a Women’s legal aid service, and I have given an incident report to the police. I will now take this to the head office. It was in March 2026 this happened but I’m not going to give specific dates because I’m worried about appraisal from that particular male employee who would have my personal details.

Whoever is reading this I hope this finds you well and take into deep consideration when staying here know the founder himself and the builders who work in continuous of expanding Meriton everyone know that 3months ago to this day my cousin PAULO MAUU as on the news died tragically because the owner who’s net worth is at 19billion HARRY TRIGUBOFF couldn’t spend a couple hundreds or thousands to make sure his hardworking employee safety was in place instead risked the lives of not only my cousin but another who was fortunate to live but in critical condition and those around him traumatised . Not only did he seem unremorseful but had no heart to consider to pay for the damages this has cost our family if he had been injured it’d be work injury but what about my cousin who we never got a chance to hug and say Goodbye properly face to face . Although I know it’s a luxury place to stay just know when they built that luxury hotel you never know because of the founder not having the balls to pay for the safety that you too are at risk of staying there’s when it was even safely built all I could say is all this owner could care about is his money and influencing others

We have been staying at the Meriton for a number of years when visiting from London. The rooms have always needed a little TLC but we were contented by the general state of the rooms.
This year however, the room is very poor. It is dated, dirty in parts, the shower is poring more water on the outside floor than on the inside.
The Internet connection is very poor, 5G very difficult to connect on our phones and to top it all up there is building works outside our room from 8am.
When I spoke to a member of staff about it, he showed me a piece of paper stating the building was currently having work done … maybe management should be honest enough to indicate this rather incredibly important fact on their website.
Building works starting at 8am week days is not a small thing. Especially when you are on holiday. Needless to say, we were not offered to move room to maybe a quiet part of the building. Which leaves me to believe, the building works affect all the rooms.
Had we known, we would have been able to make a decision to stay in this property based on facts.
Needless to say, we will never stay in this property, or any other Meriton property again.

Apartments are always very clean and spacious, usually well located. Meriton Sussex is right in the action of sydney with short walks to everything that's great about Sydney, and ferries and trams. To the north, Meriton Chatswood is really well located on major roads, got good carparking, and a fantastic array of restaurants really close. All in all, great.
