Brought some trainers from them with a by the looks of it manufactured defaults i contacted the manufacturers who then told me to contact the supplier. Sent an email over with pictures and all the relevant pictures etc. Received a reply straight away saying a new pair would be issued. Over months later no 1 replies to emails and no shoes have been sent out.

Shoes as described and delivered on time.

Fab service. Shoes were a great price, although I found the size slightly smaller than expected - hoping a few days of wearing will help with that.

I bought a pair of Remonte shoes from JM Shoes (also trading as Meeks Shoes) via Amazon. I have worn the same Remonte model for years and they normally last well over 18 months before showing any signs of wear.

These, however, were completely destroyed within 2 months.

This was not normal wear and tear. The sole separated from the shoe, and one shoe developed a large hole right through from the outside to my foot, making them totally unusable. I’ve never experienced anything like this with genuine Remonte footwear.

Because of the extreme failure, I suspect these may not be genuine Remonte products, as the quality is nowhere near the brand’s usual standard.

As a direct comparison (and proof of expected durability):
I bought another identical Remonte pair from a local high-street shop in October. I’ve worn them daily for work and on two trips abroad, regularly walking 20,000+ steps per day. Four months later, they are still in perfect condition.

The seller refused to refund or replace the shoes, ignoring their obligations under the UK Consumer Rights Act 2015, which requires goods to be of satisfactory quality and last a reasonable amount of time.

A formal complaint has now been submitted to Trading Standards regarding both product quality and refusal to comply with consumer law.

Buyers beware. Based on my experience, I would not trust this seller’s products or their after-sales support.

I am also retaining all evidence, including photos and correspondence, should further legal action be required.
