Cx5 soul red paint
Cx5 , bought new noticed first week issue with paint, white specks all over. 3 years later when mazda figured out what to do has respray under warranty. Car came back different colour soul red and 4 panels different shades, even with an approved mazda workshop.
Avoid, my older vw better brakes, steering, power and layout inside . Mazda car opposite to what you think , fuel release next to bonnet release. You have to put auto hold brake on , not automatic??? Not what you think by marketing hype.
STAY AWAY FROM BRINDLEY MAZDA WOLVERHAMPTON
Withheld a deposit which when enquired about a car was not told I would not get this back. I’ve brought plenty of cars and never have I had my deposit not returned as what would happen if you if your financials didn’t go through or you lost your job etc.
customer service a non existent must be really struggling to hold on to £250
Please go elsewhere! Forgot to add don’t call you back when they say they will either!
Save your hard earned money on a business that gives you a decent service

I was disappointed about Mazda service in Cancun, however this time I am very impressed that Mario filled up all my expectations and gave me the service I am used to have in Mazda Dealership. Thank you very much, I feel safe driving my vehicle.
Milcars Mazda not to be trusted
At Milscar Mazda I was told of their drive away insurance during conversations with the salesman David Van Geene and asked about this insurance was told not to worry we'll sort it when making arrangements to pick the car up (knowing I was travelling from Wirral to London). Arrived and it was never sorted. Then told this is something I have to sort but never advised of this beforehand and never given the number to do this. David then denies ever telling me about this insurance. I contact their manager Andrew and told him this is wrong. He contradicts himself saying they don't have to tell me but should tell me about services they offer?! Andrew looks into it further and tells me about the initial conversation where I said it sounds interesting (making David a liar because he said it was never discussed) and apparently that means I'm not interested so they don't have to fully inform their customers. My advice would be don't bother go somewhere where they do what they say and can keep their story straight.
CX30 Battery Issues
CX30 Battery Issues
Since owning this car from new (2 months in total), I've repeatably had issues with the battery. A message is displayed with an irritating bonging until the car is started. I've even had the battery changed, software updated and charged it 4 times myself now, but the issue remains. I even purchased a signal blocking key pouch to see if that made any difference.
I'm fobbed off with some 'it's a shutdown procedure' excuse. There's certainly an issue with the car and it's not been addressed.
I very much regret buying this car and can't wait to see the back of it. I would not recommend Mazda in any capacity. I will be looking to formally reject the car.
Mazda Faults That Just Keep On Developing in What Is Only a 2 and a half Year Old Car
Yet ANOTHER couple of faults with my Mazda 2, to go with all of the other major faults that this car has. This time it's to do with the running lights which no longer work and the fact that the intermittent windscreen wiper facility has packed up as well. Great! Just as the winter is setting in and both of these are required during the darker and wetter time of the year. Yet the Mazda 2 I have the misfortune to own is less than 3 years old and has done less than 9k. Does Mazda UK want to know? NO!!! It's always the customer's fault in their view. It has nothing to do with them. Please AVOID buying a Mazda. It's a total waste of money and you end up with a substandard vehicle which has a litany of faults, some rather dangerous, that Mazda UK distances themselves from and blames the customer for. Any positive reviews on this website I would treat with caution. Let the buyer beware. You have been warned!
Quite surprised by all the bad reviews…
Quite surprised by all the bad reviews for Mazda ?
We purchased a brand new Mazda 2 from Shrewsbury main dealer just over a year ago and it has been very good so far ? it is the top of the range auto so a lot of kit on it after our last car ! it seems well built, drives well , is nippy and so far has been doing around 50mpg, not cheap but what car is now. !!
Mazda 2
Mazda 2 - folding mirror issues covered by warranty- According main dealer common and recognised problem. Now the actuator for the folding mirrors has failed - Mazda UK refused to fix the problem based on the car warranty being 7 weeks expired -
Extremely disappointed with Mazda UK response they are not interested - I have now raised a issue with the
ombudsman's. Other issues include very thin paint lost of stone chip marks - for a car that has only 20k in 3 years
Ironically I have a 15 year old Mazda 6, second time round the clock ! never missed a beat . It seems Mazda have dropped the ball in building reliable cars in the pursuit of style rather than substance
Mazda 2.2 Diesel CX5
I have a CX5, the wastegate rivet failed and the only repair is a new turbo. This car has 44k on the clock with a full service history and shouldn't be failing like this, needing a 2k repair. This seems to be a common fault with the 2.2 diesel engine and confirms that the part used during manufacture is not fit for purpose. As seen in other reviews, MAZDA UK do not want to know once the vehicle is out of warranty. They dont want to take any responsibility for selling cars built with substandard parts. Ive been a car owner for 25 years and never had a vehicle let me down like this, ever! I have a blue badge and am reliant on my car but unfortunately I have no confidence in MAZDA's products and will never buy from them again. Their attitude to after sales support makes no sense to me, If this review turns at least one potential customer away from buying a Mazda, then it will cost them more than a new turbo in the long run but they are not even prepared to discuss a goodwill gesture with me. Seriously, do your research before buying a Mazda, I wish I had....................
Stand by your product?
Recently had the misfortune to speak to mazda uk regarding one of their mazda 3 diesels. The car is 6 years old with less than 75000 miles on the clock, but is so carbonised it requires £900 worth of remedial work. This is apparently a well known fault but when I approached mazda uk to see if they would contribute towards this repair, I was told the car was too old and had too high mileage! Seems mazdas are scrap after 5 years!! However they didn't mind taking £500 for a major service 6 months ago! Sad the once reliable mazda brand has come to this, where they will no longer stand by their own product. Avoid these cars.
Appalling customer service
Appalling customer service. Purchase new vehicle, which has ongoing engine problems. Unable to get service done. Unable to get it fixed on warranty. Terrible customer service - cancelled appointments (after taking a day off to come for service). 6 month new car has been at dealership 5 times now - any nothing gets done. Communication is non-existent. Good cars are completely let down by the after-sales. Avoid - go with Toyota instead.
RRG Mazda Stockport
This is a tale of two reviews. When it comes to my car I have no complaints as such, although being told that they WILL be regassing my AC unit whether I liked it or not at my expense at my third service is rather galling of them to say the least.
And barring all the recalls with the car (multiple ECU problems and a very bad phantom braking issue) I can't complain too much but that being said my car is within warranty and kept them honest.
However. When I booked my parents Mazda in, which is out of warranty and only needed a service and MOT, the "mechanic" (more like unprincipled, amoral thug) saw fit to take a hammer to the antiroll ball and double the bill!
They also claimed that the wheel camber needed readjusting. This can't be done outside of a factory and why this was was checked along with the tracking and alignment I don't know! It's never been part of any service or any MOT that myself or anyone I know has ever had done!
They also regassed the AC (they have a thing about this) and tried scaring us saying the tires were craving on the tread (they weren't).
I accept times are not the easiest but to create work for yourself in what was otherwise a perfectly functional and extremely well maintained, low mileage vehicle is beyond the pale and quite frankly disgusting and contemptible and they will not be seeing my car in any capacity in the future.
These people should be ashamed of themselves...
The crapiest line I've ever phoned
The crapiest line I've ever phoned. First of all the claim that it's 24hr service seems to be total LIE. Phone service is not manned and after nearly an hr of ringing, I had to give up. You have more chance getting thru to the Queen than them. Very appalling considering their claims. Shame on you Mazda . Pathetic!
Mazda fails to deliver.
Purchased a new CX5 from Leamington Mazda in August with a confirmed delivery date of end October. Was called yesterday (24.09.21) by dealer who said that Mazda UK had cancelled 500 customer orders in the UK including mine. Offered that I could have 5he upgraded model but not until next March.
I appreciate that times are difficult but, after some digging, I find that Mazda has been having supply issues since June and so really should not have been taking orders.
Six weeks ago there were plenty of stock vehicles available, now there are none.
Absolutely livid with both the dealership and Mazda and will, probably, never buy from them again.
If you are considering buying a Mazda don’t believe the delivery date you are given, in all likelihood it won’t happen!
Excellent service from Gavin and the…
Excellent service from Gavin and the team at Newport Mazda. Couldn’t be happier with my Mazda CX30
Mazda UK poor customer service
Four year old Cx5 2.2 Diesel Sport Nav, 54000 on the clock, full Mazda approved service history. Nice car, I bought it as a keeper from new.
Last week, diverter valve failed and trashed the turbo charger causing over £2000 worth of damage. I was advised by the garage this component should not have failed and to contact Mazda UK. After a week or so of email correspondance, cutting a long story short, Mazda UK are just not interested.
I'll get the car fixed at my own expense, that's not a problem but I would say to anyone looking at buying a Mazda, either new or used, beware, the CX5 diesel turbo could be an expensive mistake.
Please take time to read these forums, I wish I had 4 years ago.
Finally after reading this forum, other issues over 4 years of ownership I've experienced is 3 windscreens, thought I was just unlucky, and rear brakes, discs and pads at 25000 miles,
Off now to look at a Lexus, maybe better off with a quality car for long term ownership.
Corroded after little use
My Mazda 6 sports has only done around 86000 miles and already it is completely corroded underneath.
Very poor aftersales service at Mazda Croydon
As it is nearly impossible to leave a review with the Mazda website I need to write this review elsewhere.
I purchased a Mazda 6 from Mazda Croydon in May 2021. I had done my homework as I always do and despite getting a train from North Yorkshire and staying overnight I was still getting a good deal.
My salesperson was Taisha and was lovely. She was friendly, helpful and the sale went smoothly.
This was a 6-month-old car with 3,400 miles on the clock, more or less brand new. I gave the car a good look over before agreeing to the sale. I drove it home and everything was fine.
Due to the pandemic, the car remained on my drive for a week as I was working from home.
The following weekend I decided to clean the vehicle when I noticed a crack in the windscreen to the top left of the passenger side. I had missed this during my look over before buying. I contacted Taisha who contacted her sales manager as this had obviously been missed during their pre-sale inspection. Mazda Croydon gave me £50 towards a replacement which I needed to do as it was unrepairable.
When I took the vehicle to get the windscreen replaced at Autoglass, the fitter stated that in his experience the chip had been repaired as he could see the filler and then continued to crack.
I contacted Mazda Croydon again and passed on this new information. This was a demonstrator vehicle and as I was the second owner, this could only have happened at Croydon. Taisha once again had to pass this new information to her manager. When she rang back, she informed me that they had no record of any chipped/cracked windscreen and therefore implying that it must have occurred when I took ownership, which it did not.
I feel let down, lied to, and £65 out of pocket to cover the remainder of the excess. What was an initial enjoyable experience soon changed, due to extremely poor aftersales service from Mazda Croydon.
Mazda CX-5 2021: Bad decision
I bought a new Mazda CX-5 in Switzerland. Now, after 1 year of owning it, I feel obliged to write this review. First of all, CX-5 apperently has a lot of problems with side mirrors. They break at least once per year per mirror, so it means you will have at least two warranty visits each year. If this is not enough, it is almost impossible to get a warranty repair in Switzerland. After waiting for few months in Switzerland to get a date for a repair, I took my car to another country, where it was fixed within few days. What is going on with Mazda in Switzerland, it is hard to tell. What is clear, at least to me, is that you should not buy Mazda, esspecially if you live in Switzerland.
Mazda at Newport are brilliant
Mazda at Newport, South Wales are amazing... I bought my Mazda CX5 from then 9 years ago and they were fantastic back then... I had my car servicing with them which was always done promptly and exceptionally well.. The staff are so knowledgable, friendly and very helpful. I have had 9 years of trouble-free driving and have now gone for the slightly smaller CX30. I know that if I have any problems whatsoever I can always trust Newport Mazda to be honest, helpful and very customer-friendly..... I would recommend them to everyone who wants a fantastic car with outstanding customer service for many years after your purchase... They always have deals on at any one time which I find are hard to resist.. Give them a call and test drive a Mazda soon... you will not be disappointed..
