All a scam. Not hand made, not made in the USA. Ordered two bird houses that were to be hand carved by Amos, plastic junk. Trust pilot needs to condemn Marlow Market for false reviews of 4 and 5. Should be 1/4 of a star.

they advertise a handmade wooden bird house made from wood, hand carved by a man in N Carolina named Amos. I ordered and it came plastic from China. Marlow market lies. they even tell you can send back to China at your cost. stay way from this company unless you want to give away your hard earned cash. they said the best they could do would be to give me 20% money back, then 27% after discussion,

False advertisement. Received plastic junk. Ordered hand carved wood bird house. They want me to pay return shipping to Hong kong!!
Only refunding 25% of item cost.

They advertised hand crafted wooden birdhouses. The product is actually cheap plastic. They won't provide a 100% refund. Don't buy f4om them and if, like me you did, report them to your bank/credit card.

Complete ripoff!!!! The EAGLE is a flat stamped out piece of crap. Its 0% like the product photos in the Advertisement ! Hand painted by no one. Its a complete joke, NOT funny because I bought 2!!!! Brenda is a 100% FRAUD, PRODUCT FRAUD!

Horrible product! They say designed and built by an old man who studied owls. Showed up completly different then picture and not worth a dollar. Made in china junk

The product sent is a cheap mass produced basket when the website clearly states that they are handmade in America.
The phone number given to contact them doesn't go through and there is no link on the website to request a refund.
An address given to return the items is in Guangzhou China, but the "refund policy" states that they have to pre-approve the return and won't pay until received and inspected by them.
There is no way to request pre-approval.

I would give them a zero if I could. The description paints a glowing picture of a carefully handcrafted wood birdhouse. It even says that the artist lets the wood tell him how it should be carved. It's a lie. These are cheap plastic. They are not hand-carved. I don't know how this company stays online. They are also lousy bird houses because there's no way to open the bottom to clean them out even if you were to use them as a birdhouse. They're worth about $5 a piece if that. I am disputing the charges, I bought them for gifts and I'm not giving this junk to anybody. I wish I had done my research first. I sent an email I will see if anyone responds but I'm not holding my breath. Call the phone number four times and was told it couldn't be reached. Apparently this is common. There's no place on the website to get a refund started. I don't know how people are allowed to be in business and advertise using blatant lies.

Actually, my star rating is ZERO. Fraudulent advertising and items. Received plastic, mass-produced bird houses, to be returned to CHINA. According to the ad, they were hand-carved from wood in North Carolina--the price reflected that quality of item. The company's return policy states that they will not make a refund for a "sale" item. However, the item I got was not the item I ordered. Therefore, that policy does not apply in this case! FRAUD! SCAM! DO NOT ORDER!

The merchant committed bait-and-switch advertising fraud. They advertised a premium, locally hand-crafted wood item made by a US artisan. Instead they shipped an item from an international drop shipper that does not match the item description. I emailed the merchant to request a full refund, but they refused to cooperate, stated I could return the item to Hong Kong and pay shipping fees. This company is a scam! Do not order!

As noted by others, this company is 100% fraudulent in their representation of what they are selling . I was able to dispute the charge with my credit card company and received a full refund . I encourage everyone who had been defrauded to take it up with their card company. And monitor your card transactions for suspicious activity afterwards. They would be a good target for a class action suit except their business headquarters is apparently in London.

I believed their false advertising on a Hand Carved Wood Bird House, first of all it is NOT Hand Carved and NOT wood. Second, the dimensions are false, it states the height is 11-12", not true, they are less than 8 1/2" high. I contacted Marlow Mercantile and was told I could send the Birdhouses back, but, I'd have to send them back to Hong Kong, at my expense, or I could get a refund of only 25% of what I paid! Either way this company still makes money and they know these Birdhouses are fake. I told them I was going to the Fraud Dept of my Credit Card Co., I was offered 35% as a final offer, what else could I do. DO NOT BUY anything from them, everything is made in China, Hong Kong, definitely not in America, this company is a rip off, Shame on ALL of you!!

This company is a total scam. It advertised hand carved wooden birdhouses from North Carolina. what I received was a small plastic birdhouse mass produced from China. To return I would need to ship it back to Hong Kong pay for shipping expenses and only get 25% back. I should have read the bad reviews before I bought this. My bad! But I am disputing the charge and pursuing a chargeback with my credit card company and you should too! If enough people file successful chargeback claims credit card companies will punish scam companies like Marlow and can even put them out of business.

This internet store reseller hawks an eclectic mix of things. Elaborate advertisements for 'Appalachian' crafts popped up in a google search of other things for me. Turns out the images of 'craftsmen' in their ads are AI generated and the homespun stories are fake. I bought 2 "wood carved" bird houses for $80 and threw in a $5 tip 'for the craftsman.' What I received were 2 plastic birdhouses that stunk of toluene glue. I emailed Marlow Market with my complaint, and the response was that I could either return it to a Hong Kong address at my own expense, or they'd refund 25% of the purchase for the return. Obviously, this seller's descriptions of items are outright lies, and the fraudsters should face consequences. Their rating should be 'zero,' not 1.

False advertising. They claim Amos is hand crafting these in North Carolina out of wood. They are plastic and tiny and they are from Hong Kong. Buyer beware. The company is not helpful and expect you to pay to ship it back to them for a refund. Scam!

Wish I checked this website, bought the owl house and it's nothing like the ad that requested refund but I know I been scammed. Fell for the story about the grandpa building these in New England state lol.

Like many others if I could give zero stars I would. The owl house we ordered arrived destroyed. It was broken to pieces to be shoved into the shipping box. Reported to BBB. They offered “final gesture of 50% refund” when continued to be pushed about returning. Doesn’t even cover the shipping to Hong Kong. They are just a scam.
