Update - so after still being fobbed off by their ‘customer service’ I posted on Instagram and asked for recommendations of other gel companies as I refuse to use candy coat after their s*** service. Only to then receive a DM from them asking why I would say such horrible things and they’ve only ever done anything to help me, what a laugh. I told them they had done no such thing and I’ve still never received my refund and until I do I won’t be sending back the wrong item. The girl told me I had to send it back before a refund would be put through, even though this was all their error. She also asked me to remove my post as it was defamatory! I showed her emails I had with customer service saying I can hold off returning until the refund was complete. Girl said there must be some miscommunication as that’s not what their process is. I said despite what your process is you’ve fobbed me off for months and I want my refund. The girl on Instagram then said the refund was now through, so basically only after I slated them on social media, and quite rightly so, and after almost 20 emails to them. My refund has now been processed and I’ve returned their precious polish, but will never be using them again. Poor show.
Original review -I’ve been a customer of this company for over 8 years and made many an order and posted their products all over my social media.
However the last few years their customer service has let them down big time. My most recent order has pushed me too far and from reading the latest reviews on here it’s clear to see why. Their service is so bad and their staff very rude. The deleting of negative comments (more likely from people trying to get their attention as they don’t respond to emails), the promises of being sent replacements with them never arriving and the constant emails to try and get their attention is shocking behaviour.
I ordered a new lamp, 2 polishes, remover and buffers. When the package arrived it wasn’t in their usual boxed packaging and was in a large CC pink bag with very little bubble wrap. So much so that before I even opened it I could smell something had leaked. Both polish bottles had smashed and the polish leaked within the little bag it came in.
I immediately emailed to let them know on the 3rd July. I got no response several days later so messaged them on Instagram. Molly answered and appeared to think their emails had been picked up despite me saying I’d had no reply. She said she’d pass on to Nikki who dealt with customer service and replacements would be sent. On the 10th jul I eventually got a response to say they would send out the replacements. Nothing had arrived by the 18th so I dropped another email to ask if they had been sent yet (they are usually very slow to dispatch orders at the best of times). No response again so I messaged on Instagram again a few days later. Molly once again replied and said they had been sent as she personally arranged it. Then her next message said one was out of stock so they can refund that but the other has been sent. Totally contradicting herself. I asked her to clarify and also sent the screenshot of the email from the 10th showing Nikki confirming both were being sent as no one had told me this. I then got an email from Nikki saying they were being sent, again contradicting what Molly said. I expressed my disappointment at the service I’d received. Over 3 weeks to try and send replacements for damaged items due to their poor packaging. I’ve just received another large bag with one polish in it and it’s not even one of the colours i ordered. I’ve since sent another email to explain again and just asked for a refund for both polishes as I’m beyond disappointed now and will no longer buy anything from them again. I messaged Molly on Instagram to ask her to give Nikki a heads up I’ve emailed again and she’s now suggesting for a refund I’d need to return everything! The damaged polishes were binned when I was promised a replacement and I’m now expected to go out my way to return the incorrect polish they sent. Unreal.
Please do not buy anything from this company. Their brand and customer service is one big let down after many years of being at ‘the top’ of their game. It is no longer what it once was. AVOID
Gone down hill so sad !
I’m having terrible trouble with my subscription box, they take the money every month on time ! yet I don’t receive the subscription box, I’ve been having it for years and years and it was always great. The box was amazing. Always look forward to receiving it, but over the last 12 months it’s really gone downhill, had so much trouble with my account that I even had to change my email address at one point because the account crashed and wouldn’t let me use my existing account ? they take my money on time, but my box never arrives month after month I don’t get the box. It takes me months to sort out getting a refund,
So in end of May I actually cancelled the subscription. It took me weeks and weeks to get April and May‘s money back as far as I was aware it was cancelled so no money was taken in June then all of a sudden today they take the money again? How is that possible when I’ve cancelled it? Try to get on the website today log onto my account but I can’t. There’s a problem with this server. It’s absolutely ridiculous so now I’ve got to battle to get my money back again..because I know I won’t get the subscription box I don’t know what’s happened to them. It used to be such a great company with a great subscription box but it’s gone downhill so badly so so sad.!!

Shocking company to deal with. Take your money and do not refund even though uou don't receive the products because THEY cancelled tge order after taking your money. Now they've blocked me from the site.

Worst customer service I have ever encountered
At the end of April I ordered the 9-polish kit, whose photographs all advertise a rainbow of colours, only to receive a very limited shade range mostly in the same colour family. OK, that's fair, it's a 'random' selection, but the photographs on their website are extremely misleading. However, the top coat I also received in the kit had leaked all over the contents and was missing the brush. I emailed their customer service, which claims to respond within 48hr, and got absolute silence from them. After 4 unanswered emails, I sent another message to a different address on the website and finally got a response (on 20th May, over 3 weeks after my order arrived), assuring me that I would receive a replacement top coat but completely ignoring my other suggestions about their product. By 5th June, I had still received no replacement, and emailed again to chase this. As of today, 11th June, this is still unresolved. I will never purchase from this company again and advise everyone to do the same.
Popping Candy does not work
Zero stars from me. I bought two Popping Candy gel remover £25.00 each. Applied as instructed and it did not work! The gel polish remained firmly in place. I have emailed Candy Coat 4 times and still not had a response. I have given them a chance to resolve my complaint or at least return my money £50.00. I have been a customer for many years but will never use them again.m

The company never reply to emails regarding issues. I have a £20 gift voucher that won’t work and they won’t reply to advise how to sort this issue. I have been emailing since January without a reply and it is now May! DO NOT ORDER from them. They have no blocked me on Facebook so I can’t write on their posts asking for a reply!

Absolutely terrible company, wish I looked on here before ordering. Ordered some nail polishes, they took days to ship my order. Been over a week still nothing. Numerous emails sent to customer service and not one reply. When I try track my order with the order number they provided, it says they are unable to find my order. DO NOT BUY FROM HERE!!!!

They take the money for the monthly subscription and you never get the goods. They don't respond to emails requesting a refund or goods. You can't cancel your subscription online, as it says I haven't got one! yet they still take payments every month!! I've had to ask my bank for a refund.
Save your money
I had a monthly subscription box with candy coat but after a while I realised that I was being charged for it even though I didn't always receive it. I contacted them & they said they would cancel the order but never refunded it. They continued to take the next month's payment so I had to contact my bank to stop them. When I have asked for a refund they have ignored my emails.
I order the 120 colour set
I order the 120 colour set. Paid over £1000 took 3 weeks for it to arrive to find out that I had 28 double colours so I only really received 92 colours. I’ve emailed them numerous times since 16th February only to get answer last week for me to send the doubles back by fed ex I’m still waiting for them to send me an address and label. I had to write a list of all the polishes I received. They haven’t even said that they will replace to duplicate ones either different colours. I’ve sent an email today. Let’s watch this space.
I genuinely hate leaving poor reviews
I genuinely hate leaving poor reviews, but this is just ridiculous.
Like some others have said, some polishes turn out glittery without being advertised as such. I'd ordered two of their cheapest polishes in colours Beth and Ella (green and red), and Ella was incredibly glittery. I don't usually like glitter polishes, but tried it and decided it looked fine and wasn't a big deal, despite the false advertising.
Although their colours are advertised as being "long-lasting", they chip within a DAY even with proper prep. To give them the benefit of the doubt, my nails are flimsy and brittle, so it could potentially be a me problem.
A day after ordering my first two polishes, I ordered their natural nail kit and their soft gel tip extension kit. I'd ordered it on a Friday, so I wasn't expecting it to be shipped over the weekend. Monday rolls around, and I get an email saying that it'd been shipped with Royal Mail 48 (Tracked), meaning it SHOULD arrive within 2-3 days (although I get no Royal Mail tracking information at all). It's now Saturday, no delivery, and I've emailed twice to no response. The "Track Order" button they provide on the email and on their website doesn't work at all, and actually looks like it was never functional to begin with.
I'm beyond disappointed with how poor their customer service is; I've genuinely had customer service dealings from independent single-employee businesses that is better than Candy Coat. I'm writing this in the hopes that they actually try and rectify their mistakes, instead of just ignoring my emails.

Never had this experience before being using them over 7 years and never had a problem ordered the pro lux sub box 5th of Feb was supposed be dispatched between 25th and 30th and still not been dispatched on the 7th and not answering my emails very disappointed will have to find a new brand
Rude company and false advetising
First lot came and one colour was glittery but wasn't advertised as glittery I thought nothing of it and bought a second batch. It took them 4 days to ship it and when I sent an email I got no reply so commented on a few pics and sent a message on instagram- got their attention quick and I was spoken to EXTREMELY rudely.
My order arrived two days later and ALL of the colours are WAY off the pictures and descriptions. I have messaged and emailed again but no response as of yet so we will see. I'll be expecting either a full refund or replacements as it's actually false advertising, service is poor and people are spoken to like crap- so unfortunately I do not recommend them in the slightest.

So far have sent 4 emails to Customer Service (no response), and 2 direct messages on Instagram (one response asking for my order number which I immediately provided) and no reply since. They have deleted any negative comments on their social media. Horrendous.
Do not buy from this company!!
Do not buy from this company. I bought 3 of the “stix” and the product dries up and the brush becomes impossible to use after the first attempt. I contacted customer service and was refused a refund but promised a replacement product instead.
I was told this would arrive over a week ago and I still haven’t received anything. Candy Coat are now ignoring my emails and refusing to make contact. Avoid buying from this unprofessional company at all cost.
Worst customer service EVER!
I’ve been a loyal customer of Candy Coat for over 5 years and as much as I love their products the customer service is one of the worst I have ever experienced.
I had an issue with an order and returned the items. 30 days later and I still haven’t received a refund. I’ve opened a case with my bank to try and get my money back and to my disgust Candy Coat are still trying to take money from my bank for the refund amount which is in the dispute.
I won’t be putting any more of my money into this absolutely appalling business… absolutely disgusting how you treat customers.
Missing parcel/customer service ignorance
I ordered some products in December 2024, items were posted but a poor attempt at delivery as the items were left on my door step in clear view for anyone walking past to see. I live in a very busy city on a very busy main road, how anyone thought leaving a parcel in the middle of a door step, with no porch may I add, suffices as a sufficient attempt at delivery. I reached out to Candy coat as soon as as the status of my delivery had changed to delivered but I had no parcel. I received a very snotty email from Candy coat customer service. I then submitted a dispute regarding the matter to which I received a further snotty email telling me my parcel has been delivered and I was wrong to file a dispute. Well my parcel was not successfully delivered and therefore a dispute was filed. I have now been getting ignored for nearly 3 months after sending numerous emails to this Company.
Please read reviews before purchasing, I wish I read reviews beforehand as I now see I’m not the only person who’s had a problem with customer service from this company, and had I read beforehand I would NOT have proceeded to make an order
