False advertising and won't process refund - had to go through Consumer Affairs
16/6/23 Bought a boxed ring and earring set, which arrived as 3 stones in a bag no jewellery attachments. Advised lloyds 19/6/23. No contact as of 13/07/23 - contacted Consumer affairs. lloyds then asked for another 5 days to "investigate" on 19/07/23 when I advised that I had contacted consumer affairs, they then replied immediately stating that a refund was going to be made but now they aren't going to as they need to wait for consumer affairs. No named person on any of the email communications to follow up with and consumer affairs couldn't reach them via phone either. Now because they are obtuse conmen I have to go through VCAT to get a refund. Complete sham. Don't waste your money or time.

Photos hide faulty item. Their web site says they don't knowingly sell faulty items. Hahaha. I bought a ladder at one of their auctions and one of the legs was completely cracked (no damage shown at all in any of the photos of the item). Their site Forman acknowledged it was very apparent and should never have been in the auction when I went to collect it. Their office however is refusing to refund. This company cannot be trusted. Avoid.

If you like to receive broken junk then shop here!! They don't care to add descriptions and won't refund you

8 months of wasted time + 53 emails (15 ended up in their Spam Folder and were deleted) + 20 phone calls + no direct number to the Refunds Dept + thousands of dollars spent on FAKE QUARTZ slabs + the cost to dispose of them ourselves =

If you want to buy cheap, nasty items and you don't care if you lose your money - go for it! IF however, you're thinking of buying an auction item that's expensive - DON'T!!

Those few people that left 5 Star ratings were the lucky ones! No wonder this unethical and fraudulent company has only 1.7 Star ratings!

Fraudulent IMHO - need to be held accountable. Ordered prescription with arranged pick up from Cromwell Rd - was told when I turned up that the pharmacy was closing down and that I needed to contact Lloyds online to arrange change of pick up point. Can not get through after more than 1 hour - clearly they have taken my money (and many others as well presumably) hoping I will give up trying. Keep away - they will take your money.

Ridiculous shipping charges,$49 dollars for a daybill poster,unbelievable.

No calls , nothing from them , i bought a tool box off there auction site , turns out no stock ,paid for it and do you think i can get a refund , no they are poor communicators.

I recently had a problem with items listed " Adelaide only Richmond collect". This was eventually resolved by me agreeing to pay freight from Carrara to Adelaide by Austpost. Have freighted items ob Austpost before and not at all impressed . This time , of the 2 parcels delivered , one had been dropped off the back of a truck . Luckily this time they were cans and some could be saved . Had they been bottles like i normally purchase , all 12 would have been destroyed . Will not send any purchases from Lloyds Auctions on Austpost ever again . Geoff

Two friends spent two days and finally bought two cars through an online auction. We thought so and thought that at the end of the auction, the highest bidder would get the vehicles. But we learned later that it wasn't like that, that it wasn't that easy. At the end of the auction, we each got an email saying we shouldn't be so happy right away. Vehicle owners had to be happy with these sales amounts and had to approve... If so, we could not understand why a reserve price was determined and the increase was not started around that amount. Later, we learned from others that this auction firm did this in almost every sale; Either they want you to pay an extra amount, or they say that the sale will not take place and they close the communication...My only advice is don't waste your time thinking that this auction will be more advantageous and cheaper. Just a waste of time...
Why should we buy non-guaranteed vehicles at the "market prices" they set? Why should we go to the auction and waste our time stupidly?

Approved a refund 36 days ago still waiting always excuse of backlog in accounts ready to pass on to authorities

I joined the auctions, knowing the risks and all sales are final. My experience bidding, and paying for won items were great. Though I found that one item's description wasn't clear, and I ended up with a tablet that's as good as a paperweight. The combination of this tablet, another working tablet and a guitar seems that I still received a brilliant deal and worth the money invested.
I will use this service again. Like any online sales media you need to be aware of all risks.

They say that they're not mechanics and they aren't liable for dud cars (paraphrasing)
But you don't need to be a mechanic to know that if it says "ENGINE FAILSAFE PROGRAM" in big capital letters on the dash that's something wrong.
But no, they decided not to mention it. Don't trust that they aren't going to hide obvious issues with cars. They obviously don't care about people or their own reputation.
DONT RISK IT WITH LLOYD'S.

This bank is a disgrace, I have banked with them for years, have a business account and when you try to contact them you are on the phone for hours. They are quite happy having your business but when you need help they are awful. I contacted them about a contract I entered into then cancelled in the 14 days cooling off period. Months later I am still 1516 out of pocket due to there incompetence.

I am very unhappy with their service. I won the bidding on a picture. After accepting payment I was informed that they had smashed the glass. I have gone through the lengthy refund process and after numerous emails and phone calls I still have not been refunded 3 months later. Look after yourself and stay clear of this "business".

WARNING! do not sell your car at Lloyd's auctions. i went to pick up my car after it went well below the reserve and decided to look around it and found a big dent in the door. it is pretty bad. it nearly looks like a forklift forks had hit it. even though i had proof that it happened in there possession all they had to say was, they couldn't see anything on our cameras. they have got out of paying to get it fixed. not to mention its been over 2 months going around in circles trying to sort it out and not been able to advertise my car since because of the dent.what a joke. so now I'm out of pocket a few thousand. so no i definitely will not be dealing with Lloyd's autions again.

I would not use Lloyd's Auction or go near these people ever again I had 10 reserve prices and told them that and these low lifes sold them unreserved I lost a few thousands dollars though these people I do have other stuff but Lloyd's will never get them thats for sure.If your thinking of selling anything with these don't do it what so ever you will get burnt big time . I even sent them an email and they haven't had the decency of responding to my email. Thats all I have to say learnt a big lesson don't trust Auction.

Incompetent bordering on criminal..I sold a car in may now mid august and still not paid ,, apparently they have my details wrong despite a dozen phone calls and numerous emails they still cant get it right and apparently it takes 10 to 14 days to update their records not the 10 seconds it should take,now they wont answer my phone calls and keep redirecting my emails ,, currently in the hands of the office of fair trading and my solicitor

Absolutly crap don't recommend them at all. They will steal from you commissions thousands when they tell you another story about being a VIP vendor with a good deal with commissions which I think means to them we will steal you money from you and do our best to sell your items way below a fare and reasonable value....Lloyd's Auctions from a vendors view, their crap and thieves they don't get anything right that you inform them to be advertised in your Auction add information that should be put in there on it. They just won't it.
