Can you give negative stars

You will not believe this but I had a deal with them for a meal and then it turned out to be my wife and I were to share over the carcase of a meal 3 oysters and half a lobster with some salad - I can see myself salivating whilst I am offering her the lobster tail. I discovered the scam only by accident as they sold the same deal again but this time they took care to say that 2 people will share - they managed to obfuscate it the first time and think they are very clever

This is the best bit - After I uncovered the scam, the customer service rep offered to refund my purchase but I asked for him to honour the deal by calling the restaurant - to be fair at this point I didn't know I had genuinely been oversold and under delivered by gross misrepresentation but did not fancy having my wife dress up and then have an almighty row about payment with the restaurant.

To paraphrase his words "What more can I do - I have offered you a refund". I said honour the deal and he said it was beyond his authority and needed to talk to his manager to which my response was - please escalate it as I have taken the day off to get to London on time and want my full meal experience

No manager called me so I called again and he was a choice person - they have come across misrepresentation many times it seems - totally polite given I was losing my cool at being cheated. Apparently the notes stated no refund had been offered which is an outright lie of course. He refused to play the transcript

such a palaver - why do silly firms like this exist at all to dupe us

my advise NEVER BUY as it is always a scam- you will never be able to see through the fine print

Sorry, wouldn't even give this company a score, they aren't worthy of it.

Purchased 2 items in November. One was received and if it wasn't going to cost as much to return the item I would as quality was less than shoddy.

One other item hasn't been ordered. Email received from company this week advising I only had until 15th January to submit voucher code. Already did this but item still not received 6 weeks later. Out of curiosity I did try to submit the voucher code again only to receive an error message on the website to advise this had already been submitted.

It would seem I am not to receive this order nor a refund.

Gave opinion on Facebook to warn others about my experience. Communication was the best it has been from this company and even that was only to confirm they don't have customer service via Email. Would need to spend even more money calling the company to find out what their complaints procedures are..............already know they don't offer customer service so wouldn't bother to call and waste yet more money.

....and it was! Whisky tasting set advertised as 5 minature bottles, but received 5 test-tubes of what may be whisky. Living Social took no responsibility for their exaggerated advertising. This is gross misrepresentation.
Have been let down by 'deals' before, so I should have learned my lesson. I wont be buying from them ever again.

We have tried twice a deal with livingsocial.co.uk and it seems that for the second time we merchant have problems woth getting paid by them after delivering the services for the customers who have bought the vouchers.

I would not advise nobody to sign any agreement with them. Livingsocial does not honour the agreement with the merchant.

Rubbish customer service, dont answer the phone, cant send an email, unhelpful on FB page, products dont turn up. I will NEVER use again. Based on reviews ive seen, this company wont last long (check their FB page - full of complaints)

Like Groupon but slightly less good. Still would recommend

We are a small business who unfortunately engaged in a promotion with Living Social. 3 months on and they still owe us money.
The UK side simply haven't a clue about customer service, either that or the US are dictating a dreadful 'lets not pay and they will go away' policy.

WE WILL NEVER USE THEM AGAIN and furthermore spread the word that LIVING SOCIAL are BAD NEWS!

Under no circumstances must anyone buy a gift for a friend or third party from this company, if things go awry they do not want to know. Just been speaking to a lady in the USA regarding a failed order from Printmyphotoltd.co.uk, I had sent emails to both companies but she informs me this was a waste of time because Livingsocial do not accept this type of communication and can now only be contacted by phone. Printmyphoto are an associate company of Livingsocial but seemingly are non-contactable by any method. All I wanted was for Livingsocial to contact their associate company Printmyphoto regarding the undelivered order but apparantly the Data Protection Act prevents this. I repeat, give a gift through this company at your peril.

NEVER BUY FROM LIVING SOCIAL - RIP OFF!!

I bought an online logo design service through Living Social.

The company (Pink Zebra) were shockingly bad. Useless design service, extremely bad communication. After two months of trying to communicate with them I didn't get my logo and had to go elsewhere and pay for the service all over again. Why did I pay up front?? - because that's how it works with Living Social!

I asked Living Social for my money back but Living Social refused to take any responsibility at all - Said that once the "voucher" expires they can will not do anything to help the unhappy and ripped off customer. Absolutely appalling customer service and they are quite arrogant and rude about it.

I bought a deal through living social a box of luxury christmas crackers the company stated the original price was (£19.99) I paid £7 plus delivery. The value of the crackers were no more than £4.99 the gifts inside had plastic motifs jigsaw puzzles and wait for this single paper clip etc I am DISGUSTED I have logged a complaint because this is false information these crackers were never worth the amount the company are saying they are worth. I thought I was getting a good deal and all i have got is a box of christmas crackers i could have got from bargain basement

Ordered 2 of these, and couldn't order on the website. Emailed the company 3 times asking why the checkout wouldn't work with no response.

Then asked Living Social to help twice and got no response.

Awful service and now I've lost my money.

I have been getting email from this 'too good to be true' company for months and one day I decided to bite the bullet and order. I looked at some reviews that really did put me off, but I am happy to say I ignored the negative and focused on the possessive; it worked well for me and I got my son a gift that i was eye balling for weeks and I go it at over 60% off. Hopefully as I continue to use them I will not get ripped off like so many have.

Don't trust them. It is a scam !!!! You'll never see the product or the money back!

Have tried to place order with living social voucher code the server on Justshe website will not respond spent 6 hours trying to order absolute joke DO NOT USE EITHER LUVING SOCIAL OR JUSTSHE

I received a voucher for a massage as a gift and the company will not honor it. When I called living social there was nothing that they could do. SCAM!

I've had good luck with Living Social for (U.S.) event tickets, but bad luck with products. It would appear that their products come from China because the quality is questionable, and the shipping times are lengthy. They also add shipping costs that are not disclosed in the initial descriptions. I'll stick to using them for any good ticket discounts and that's it.

We bought tickets via livingsocial to take my mother out for a cruise and cream tea in Stratford upon Avon. We phoned bancroft cruisers several weeks in advance of voucher expiry to book and got no answer so left voicemails. We heard nothing back. Voucher dates finally expired so called living social who said we should have called to complain earlier! Totally un helpful and very disapppointing. Won't use either Bancroft or Living social again.

Day Spa: closed down, couldn't redeem, living social say it's not their problem

Restaurant Dinner: voucher not valid and they never had a deal with living social, living social say it's not their problem

Pet Product: email requesting an addition $13 for delivery, living social say it's not their problem

I've also been charged by them for items I didn't buy! Living social say I must have bought them and not their problem!!

There have been too many issues to list! I CANT BELIEVE THEY HAVNT BEEN SHUT DOWN YET BUT ONLY A MATTER OF TIME!

This company is a disgrace - half their coupons ocercharge on checkout and then there is no support - the Americans just tell you to contact the company yourself direct. Have mailed them 4 times to take up my case and they are not interest - will use every means to warn other uk customers of this company

Save yourself the displeasure in dealing with this bunch! As attractive as their offers look, that's as far as the pleasantness goes! Their customer service have a standard line, stating that they cannot tell you anything until 7 days after you have raised a query or complaint. They use suppliers that no one (not even themselves) can contact by telephone. An example; Love Bebe Shop!!!
My advise; unsubscribe from Living Social. Never use them.
ps: the only reason I even added one star is that you have to select a star rating!
