Service, AC, brake fluid change and MOT all went very well and at a good price. You noted that the rear brake hose ferules were rusty, if you had phoned me to advise I would have had them changed as you were changing the brake fluid anyway, Otherwise it would have been 5 stars.

Unnecessary charges and too long to fix
I took my van in at 8.30 and I know it hadn’t been looked at until late afternoon I could have earned money in the morning and took it at lunch. When I took it in I said what needed doing but they charged me for an unnecessary diagnostic. It wasn’t repaired until late the day after it took 2 full days to replace the horn and a window switch 2 very easy jobs. They left me all the rubbish in the passenger side plus a part they failed to ree attach. All this cost me £353 and 2 days loss of earnings less than £100 in parts. I would never go again for repairs.

We're sorry that we didn't explain the investigation process clearly enough when you booked your van in.
While you had already identified the issues with the horn and window switch, our technician still needed to establish the cause of those faults – including checking the components, wiring and associated systems – before we could confidently carry out the correct repair.
We accept that the terminology used to describe this could have been clearer.
We also apologise for the length of time your van was with us and for the condition it was returned in. Leaving rubbish inside the vehicle and a part not properly reattached falls below the standard we expect.
We appreciate you discussing your concerns with us directly and trust that, following our conversation, the matter is now resolved.

Tell the truth
I found this garage only a few years ago, I have had nothing but great service, them from the very first time I use there services, maybe not the cheapest around but great value and they do the job right they fix what needs fixing and at a fair price, the staff at the front desk nothing but helpful in everything, this is not a paid or a friend saying this I am just a customer giving and honest response to them, in truth I dont take my car any where else and have recommend them to my daughters in fact as soon as anyone mentions some wrong with a car I recommend them with zero hesitation.

Quoted for work that didn't need doing
I will never use Lindleys again as they tried to charge me £500+ for work that didn't need doing.
I took my car to Lindleys in West Bridgford to have the hand brake cable replaced.
They found that the nsr caliper was defective and needed replacing, and that the osr caliper was likely in the same condition. Was quoted over £700 for the work.
This didn't seem right as I had the car serviced 2 weeks previously by my usual garage and nothing was picked up on with regards to the brakes.
Phoned my garage who asked me to bring the car in to check it. End result - they replaced the cables for less than £200. The calipers had nothing wrong with them. Will never use Lindleys again.
