Double Reported accidents
LexisNexus reported my sons' accidents on my husband's driving record as well as my sons. Must be nice to report one accident on two driving records so both parties pay increased premiums. I submitted a complaint with proof from my insurance company that it was reported correctly to LexisNexus, however they now want to take 30+ days to dispute this after I've already been paying higher premiums for 2+ years due to their mistake. All foreign customer service & can't speak to a supervisor even when they are the root cause of overpayment on insurance premiums due to their own incompetence. Talk about a monopoly. So much for protection for the consumer anymore.

I have been trying for many months to gain access to my stock trading portfolio: Shareview, Equiniti, Aberdeen.
To verify my identity I must take some pictures of myself. The system does not allow that. I have tried many many times but I have not succeeded to have my identity verified. There is no route for help with LexisNexis: they only referred me to a helpful phone at Shareview, where are the operators do not have the ability to help with this. Recently I have tried the link to this again with the website promises of verification code to start the process - it does not come
Their system does not work
Their system does not work, not enough light...more light, try mobile...try mobile, try uploading image...upload image, so it all fails but "we will ask for your country and other info in the next screen"...no next screen to go to.
Called help, 24/7 help does not apply to 'verification', and after breaking down sound on bad quality call, I got cut off. Great! Thx Stan!
Took my money and never got my report
Bought my crash report, mind you there was absolutely not other way to get it than paying 16 dollars. Then never got my report or an email receipt, but they took it out of my bank within seconds that’s for sure.

Spent over three hours trying to figure out how they cannot email me a copy that says I had paid my fine.So that I would not have to wait until I get pulled over. And explain to a police officer that I paid my ticket. But unfortunately, a third party cannot process or send me an email stating that my ticket is paid period so now if I get pulled Uber, I will have to go back to court because it shows that my license is suspended, even though it's not and take more time going through the court system and paying more money. Because Lexus Nexus cannot send an email saying. Hey he's paid his fine. Absolutely ridiculous. Why a third party should not be paying a ticket instead of the state period
Misleading customers to believe that renewal requires action...and then saying it doesn't
After being stuck in a contract with Lexis for 4 years, I was finally ready to try new products. Starting in mid-March 2026, Lexis began sending me daily Adobe requests to "renew your contract." I emailed my Lexis rep. on 3/21/26 and stated, "I am not yet ready to sign an agreement. This coming week I am trialing some Westlaw services."
We then exchanged emails for over a month, during which the Lexis rep. stated the following:
On 4/9/6: "You can disregard that [autorenewal] email-it's a renewal offer from our marketing team. Your agreement expires 4/30/26."
On 4/21/26: "Your agreement expires in nine days, and I want to ensure I'm staying on top of this for you. As part of your renewal...and are there any remaining questions or concerns I can address before the renewal deadline?"
4/23/26: "This is just a quick reminder that your agreement expires in seven days..."
from 4/23/26 through 4/29/26, I received an Adobe Sign request every single day asking me to "review and sign Lexis Agreement."
Then, on 4/27/26, I emailed the Lexis rep. that I would not be renewing my contract, and this was his response:
"Unfortunately, your current plan auto renewed on 4/1/26 with a 5% increase...the autorenewal pushes your contract out to 4/30/27."
Um what?
We then exchanged additional emails in which he claimed, "the agreement referenced in my prior communications was a new agreement sent to either renew your current plan at the same rate or add additional features." The dispute was escalated but Lexis stood firm.
On 5/7/26, I informed Lexis in writing that I would address the matter through its Legal Department, and that they did not have authorization to debit anything from my credit card or bank account. Then, on 5/13/26, Lexis debited approximately $1,100 from my bank account anyway.
Over a four-year period, I paid Lexis approx. $29,000. The one year additional year they are attempting to enforce is worth roughly $7,200. Yet they appear willing to lose a customer permanently over that amount. They're also going to be out money spent on legal fees for the forthcoming legal dispute.
I don't often leave reviews - in fact, I may have left only one in my life. But this experience was beyond disappointing, and I think people should be extremely cautious with Lexis. Their communications repeatedly led me to believe that renewal required affirmative action and a signed agreement, only for them to later claim the contract had already auto-renewed weeks earlier.
Westlaw can now thank Lexis for making me a Westlaw customer for life.
Lexis Nexis issued an erroneous report…
Lexis Nexis issued an erroneous report of death regarding my mother, who is still very much alive, via their subscription risk management service. They claimed she had been dead since 2020, causing repercussions throughout numerous large banking and government institutions that use their service. This led to my mother, and myself, her attorney in fact, to be locked out of her bank accounts and retirement and brokerage accounts, and to have her MediCare and Social Security cancelled. It went so far that I began to receive emails from several past medical providers who were ordered to reimburse MediCare for claims that had been paid out since 2020. It took all of my spare time and bandwidth for over four months (I work full time and have two school-aged children, and my home is under construction - I can’t understate how exhausting this crisis was), to right everything, although we will likely never recover online access with TIAA because Mom, at 88 years old, has advanced dementia and can’t verbally request to reestablish online banking. The dispute resolution process with Lexis Nexis is slow and opaque, and getting any written acknowledgement of the error to provide to banks and others was nearly impossible. This company caused my family very concrete harm, and was most difficult to interface with, in our attempts to rectify their error.

Lexisnexis has been very difficult to deal with. I have 2 violations on my driving report that are not mine but are my former spouse who has the same name other than middle name. My car insurance company is having a field day with this as they want to almost double my premium. I opted out of their services hoping this will help. Would be nice to talk to a live person instead of a website.
No Flexibility Once You’re Under Contract
LexisNexis has been extremely frustrating to deal.
We unintentionally rolled into an auto-renewal while transitioning platforms and immediately tried to work with them in good faith to find a reasonable solution. There was ZERO flexibility — no ability to cancel, no buyout, no meaningful adjustment.
Once you’re locked into the contract, there’s no willingness to work with you, even when the product is no longer being used.
I understand agreements are binding, but most reputable vendors will at least try to find a practical resolution. That wasn’t our experience here.
Proceed with caution and pay very close attention to the auto-renewal terms — they matter more than you think.
Genuenly Trash
Absolute Terrible company i wouldn't recommend it to anyone!

As a lawyer I am ashamed that I let Lexis Nexis bait and switch me after I went to them for a research platform. The "term" has four years, broken down by year. I was told I could cancel 30 days before the term, and I asked about each subsection and was told yes, I could cancel with 30 days' notice before each year in the term. Not true and they will not work with me. I will NEVER use them again.

This company is a scam. My insurance went up because they said I had a safety violation. I don’t even have any tickets at all and then when you try to call the company you can’t get anyone. This company is a scam and it’s causing my insurance to go up.

We are currently seeking legal counsel…
We are currently seeking legal counsel regarding the issues we've encountered. LexisNexis acquires individuals' information from the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV), or potentially the DMV provides it to them; regardless, insurance companies utilize LexisNexis data to determine automobile insurance rates. My wife was involved in an automobile accident for which she was not at fault. There were no claims, no injuries, and no damages reported. Subsequently, our insurance premium increased from $900 to $1500 bi-annually. Upon contacting our insurance provider for clarification, we were advised to dispute the incident with LexisNexis to have it removed from their report, which would then impact our premium. This occurred two months ago, and we have yet to receive a response regarding this matter. We perceive this situation as fundamentally unjust. We believe this constitutes an exploitative practice, and we fully intend to engage legal representation to explore the possibility of initiating a class-action lawsuit on behalf of all individuals similarly affected. It is illogical for our premiums to escalate from $900 to $1500 bi-annually without any legitimate basis. Attempts to dispute this have been unsuccessful, as we have been unable to reach a representative, and our calls and emails have gone unanswered. Consequently, we are now pursuing direct action to resolve this issue.
LexisNexis Fradulent Information Online Reports
I contacted LexisNexis to get a copy of my consumer report, and could not believe the false information that is in their files. Where in the heck do they get this information? To tell the truth, they get it from third parties, and the Credit Bureaus that I know of, and it should be illegal for anyone to have our SS# because this follows you to death, and was never supposed to get in the hands of crooked companies like LexisNexis and others. My report has my gender wrong, my addresses wrong, phone numbers, and names. I have been a victim of Identity theft and see emails that are not mine on my report. I will fight them and even take them to court before I allow a company to do this to me, and another thing, why in the world are we given our sensitive information to foreigners anyway? That should be against the law. Someone was trying to use my information in Canada, and found out it's on the dark web, God forbid my information has been breached with Trans Union, every big-name company you can think of, even my job, so there is no privacy whatsoever.
Why do we have to give them one star…
Why do we have to give them one star when they are the worst company in existence? They take peoples problems, amplify them, which allows others to hurt them through their means even further. Lord forbid you need help or information from them. You will be connected to India, and the amount of information to “verify” your account will in fact give them all your personal details just for them to know more, and find a way out of helping you. Even giving you details about yourself. They dont investigate anything that happens to you. Insurance companies, namely Progressive, can give them fraudulent information which they relay to other providers just to do more damage. This group needs to be shut down immediately.
I am very confused because I had never…
I am very confused because I had never heard of this company before today. I received an email from GEICO Insurance this morning. I had applied for car insurance, and the notice basically said I was being denied coverage because of derogatory credit reporting from NexisLexis. I looked up the company, and everyone who wrote reviews gave it a one-star. From what I read, it seems there's no point in contacting this company, as no one has reached them. My credit score is over 830. I pay all my bills on time and in full. I am 83 years old, and this situation has caused me significant stress.
My question is, why does this company continue to operate and conduct blatantly illegal practices?
