FTTP install
FTTP installation. It was a hard job getting the cable around the property and to the 1st floor and to where the router is located, but the engineer Ryan was very quick and professional about it and installed it all perfectly. As I WFH, a rock solid connection is critical, which so far it is. Thanks alot.
Recognising great service by Ahmed
Kelly's engineer Ahmed visited today to look into a broadband service issue raised with our ISP Onestream. He was extremely polite and thorough in his investigation of our issues, eliminating faults on our property and identifying the root cause off property. We would like to thank him for his work today and for reconnecting our internet access
Kelly communications turned up to…
Kelly communications turned up to install virgin at my neighbours. They turned up in two vans. One guy walked by my drive and for no reason started kicking dirt out of a hole onto my drive. I challenged them and a young guy said he would clear it up. I said it's not the point but why do it at a house your not working at. Old guy got a bit chirpy so took his reg and phoned his company in fareham. On leaving the old guy stopped to have a gag and when he finished he threw his gag on the grass outside. Waited 48 hours for a reply from management but nothing. Be careful employing these cowboys.
Absolutely THE worst company I have…
Absolutely THE worst company I have ever had to deal with in my almost 50 years on this earth.
I came out this morning to find two of their vans outside of my house, one parked 2-3ft over the entrance of my drive which makes it very awkward to get off. The two "workmen" were have their morning mothers meeting and when I asked them to back the car up got a load of snide comments. Instead of just a "no worries pal I'll move it". Trying to get through to anyone in this company to report it was a complete nightmare. Trust me it's not even worth the hassle.
Avoid like the plague if you can
Very good experience!
Ivan Lopes was a very courteous, polite engineer who explained his job clearly and concisely, and then went about his work with no disturbance to anyone. Ivan offered to clean up afterwards, and was an fine representative of the Kelly Group. Would highly recommend him.
Vodafone Broadband by City fibre
Engineers arrived on time and completed broadband installation efficiently. Mr Ali Khan was helpful in explaining new connection.
Excellent and professional installation of Vodafone Broadband
The installers who came this morning, Ali Khan, Cameron Stocks and Abdul Sankoh were very professional, courteous and friendly. They completed the work speedily and without any technical issue. Outstanding staff and a credit to your company.
Dreadful service
Dreadful service. First engineer came out last week and wasn't qualified to do the fibre repair. Was given a slot between 1pm and 6pm today for a qualified engineer to arrive. Waited in all afternoon, no contact, just couldn't be bothered to turn up or even having the decency to contact me. Lost half a day's pay. Tim Kelly built his company reputation on great service, sadly no more. Perhaps BT needs to review its outsourcing arrangements.
Abysmal company
Abysmal company. Sold us onto the o2 Mobile Network which is completely unfit for purpose when it comes to 4G network coverage. Attempted to hold us in the contract despite us having hours of screen recordings showing 4G network coverage yet no ability to use the internet. Eventually after a nightmare five weeks with them they let us out of the contract but still stuck with the handset.
Getting hold of them can be very difficult, calls cut out etc. I'd strongly recommend not using Kelly Group or o2.
Terrible service and communication
Terrible service and communication, and a poor quality job. Engineer arrived to carry out an upgrade to full fibre on behalf of Openreach (after a late notification of subcontract), cut the original cable, but then had difficulty drawing the cable through the duct so called colleagues to assist and went to lunch… He never came back and they didn’t appear, leaving no phone or internet connection. On inspection outside the installation was not in the location agreed and the internal finish is poor too. I would not allow them to work on my property again.
I normally don’t leave reviews about…
I normally don’t leave reviews about companies, but unfortunately my experience with Kelly Communications has left me feeling that I need to share my concerns, particularly regarding the way engineers are treated and how communication is handled.
As engineers, we are expected to work in challenging and sometimes hazardous conditions, including climbing telegraph poles in all types of weather, carrying out underground installations and dealing with difficult situations on the network. These responsibilities require a high level of professionalism, commitment and, above all, respect for the people carrying out the work.
Unfortunately, I did not always feel that this respect was reflected in the way communication was handled by management. In my experience, some managers could have demonstrated considerably better communication, professionalism and respect when dealing with engineers.
My final experience was particularly disappointing.
After I ended my employment, my company van was collected from my home and a vehicle audit was carried out without me being present. I was subsequently informed that I was being charged for an item that I had allegedly failed to return.
The problem is that this was an item I had never knowingly used and, to the best of my knowledge, had never even seen in the van.
I contacted three managers to explain the situation and ask for an opportunity to provide my side of the story. Unfortunately, two of them blocked me on WhatsApp, while the other did not respond to my messages. This was extremely frustrating, especially when the issue directly affected me financially.
I eventually contacted the previous engineer who had been assigned the van before me. He told me that he had placed the item in the passenger-side glove compartment and knew that was where it had been kept.
This raises a reasonable question: if the item was apparently in the glove compartment, why was I not given the opportunity to be present during the van audit or to confirm the contents of the vehicle before being held responsible for it?
I believe a fairer and more transparent process would be to allow the departing engineer to be present during the vehicle inspection, or at the very least provide a detailed inventory and photographic evidence of any missing items before making deductions from their pay.
I am not writing this to attack individual employees. I am sharing my experience because I believe companies can only improve when genuine concerns are raised.
Engineers are the people out there representing the company every day, working in difficult conditions and taking responsibility for the network. They deserve to be treated with professionalism, respect and fairness.
Unfortunately, my experience with Kelly Communications did not leave me feeling that this was consistently the case.
I would strongly encourage anyone considering working for the company to ask questions about how vehicle audits, deductions, complaints and management communication are handled before accepting a position.
This was my personal experience, and I hope the company takes the feedback constructively and uses it as an opportunity to improve.
Do not use Kelly's on behalf of…
Do not use Kelly's on behalf of Openreach. The most shoddy unprofessional job I've had the misfortune to come across. On the 4th September they were employed to install full fibre broadband here. The Contractor has not used an existing hole already drilled and attempted to drill inside to out which has resulted in a massive chunk of spalled render coming away from the side of the house. This on an elevated side wall. The engineer left quickly and did not even bring my attention to it. He has attempted to fill the hole with silicone!. It is a K rend finish so they will be asked to re-instate as per the original. Oh yeah and when you get to complain to BT they palm you off onto someone called Keoghs who send you a complex claim form asking for your I.D. ( I'd already photographed it for BT) And kinda making out it might not be their problem. Complete corporate nonsense and a total joke.

Absolute dog sh*t service
Absolute dog sh*t service. Couldn’t organise anything between them. To top it off when the engineer came out he damaged cabling for our CCTV cameras. Took my old Sky broadband router saying he would send it back for me and he hasn’t. Costing me a £53 fine from Sky from non return of goods. And has now denied that he took it.

I had Justin fix my bt hub and phone which didn’t activate as promised . Delightful young man , very helpful and did a proper job !!
Andy “Shaky Hands” 10\10!
We had the pleasure of meeting Andy also known as Andy Shaky Hands 😂. If your after an expert technician to drill through a cable and blow your electric's Andy’s your man!
Jokes aside Andy was incredibly polite and made a small mistake. He went above and beyond to go out his way in his own time to rectify and complete the job to a very high standard. He was extremely apologetic and made sure we were looked after and 100% Happy.
10\10 Andy thanks for everything, Even blowing my electrics 😬.
Just want to say the bloke who came out…
Just want to say the bloke who came out me yesterday on broad lane essington did a fantastic job on reconnecting out fibre wore that seemed to of been vandalised very neat and tidy work and polite would recommend visited at around 12 on the 27th of August 26 hope this reaches him as he deserves the recognition from the company as he worked throught a heavy rain pour
The Worst of the worst
It’s the worst ran company I have ever seen. Full of liars from top to bottom. Treat you like slaves even though they say you are “self employed”. Don’t consider engineers as human and milk whatever lads they have working some days expecting you to be out all day completing work meant for 2-3 people. Managers have no clue what they are on about and just hang in exchanges while messing up with peoples money and always trying to cut you short on money you are owed. Do not go anywhere near them unemployment is better
It gets no better than this
Today I had a young man attend a fault in Keswick, Cumberland. The job was much bigger than snticipated as another company had snipped off our copper cable & used it to pull their fibre cable into position. Undeterred the young man fitted a complete new cable to the property. I can only say that if all of your employees were even close to this good you would be unassailable. 100% satisfied
Unauthorized Work, Property Damage, Trespassing, and Unprofessional Conduct
Kelly Telecommunications installed internet services without obtaining the required freeholder permission. As a share of freeholder, I was never contacted, nor did I consent to any work being carried out on the building.
During the installation, the engineer committed multiple serious breaches:
Trespassing & Unauthorized Alterations: The engineer accessed and drilled directly into the exterior fabric of my property without permission or right of access.
Substandard & Damaging Workmanship: Following up on the installation, a builder inspected the work and confirmed severe technical defects. The drill entry hole was makeshift-sealed with tape and silicone rather than a standard weatherproof cap/grommet, leaving the building at high risk of water ingress and blown pebbledash render. The cable was left unclipped, lacks a proper drip loop, and raw, redundant cut wires were left dangling on the wall face.
Refusal to Leave & Harassment: When informed that permission had not been granted and asked to stop and leave the premises, the engineer refused to comply. He resorted to personal insults and name-calling.
Illegal Parking: The engineer parked his company van directly across my dropped kerb, completely blocking my driveway and access to my property.
This installation involved deliberate property trespass, unauthorized physical modifications to a shared building, and unacceptably aggressive, unprofessional behaviour.
Formal complaints are being lodged regarding the damage to the property, the lack of freeholder consent, and the behavior of the technician on site. I strongly advise property owners and management companies to avoid using this contractor.
Upgrade to full fibre
What should have been a simple pulling through of cables to upgrade me to full fibre became more complicated as the original cabling to my house had been completed in a non-standard way (bodged)! Luckily I had Adam Vincent from Kelly group on the case. He was calm, professional & friendly. He kept me informed at every stage of what the options/risks of him proceeding were & had my full fibre up & running the same morning. He also left my property neat & tidy. He is a credit to your business; thank you Adam.
