I purchased Kaplan for the Series 65.

1. I'd like to address that only having 6months access to the course material is not worth the money - especially if you fail your first attempt at the 65 (which 40-50% of people do). You should get access for 1 year at least or, indefinitely.

2. This text book and course are complete OVERKILL. in almost half of the units there will be information that "will not be tested" WELL THEN WHY IS IT IN THE BOOK AND VIDEOS?!?!?! If Kaplan could just communicate with NASAA and get a grip on the specifics of the core concepts they honestly could probably cut out and/or refine 20-30% of this course material and more people would pass the 65 on their first attempt.

3. Also there is WAYYYY too many math calculations in the Kaplan quiz bank. On the actual Series 65 exam you may only actually use a calculator on 4-7 of 140 questions depending on your question draw. Maybe even less if you can use deductive reasoning to spot the correct answer instead of doing a calculation (eg: correct answer number has to be lower than the numbers given in the question and the only answer for available in the answer set that is lower is C)

4. There is absolutely no flow to these learning objectives. Some units will be able to complete in an hour and some units will take 5-10hrs to get through. There is a 33 page unit that may only have 2 questions on the actual 65.... NARROW IT DOWN.

5. This is for NASAA and Kaplan but also just some of the things in here need to be brought to recent times in terms of storing information, client communications, advertisements, investment recommendations, risk and investment vehicles people actually use today. You are required to lean about things you will likely never use in the real world, or if you do, it will be a very one off situation that you're going to need to look up anyway.

6. The Audio textbook is clearly read by AI and AI doesn't know how to pronounce many things and has no inflection or cadence. Kaplan you make hand over fist in study material sales. Pay a real life human to read the books in a studio.

7. Kaplan needs to add a feature to the Qbank where you can just be test on specific topics - not just specific units and sections. For example, I'd like to be able to go into the Qbank and just every single question about an IRA or Bond Yield Curves, or every question about a Put Option regardless of unit/section they are in.

Perfect formula: The Kaplan review has well-presented lectures reviewing the chapters of the Series 7. Each quiz and progress exam shows where one is weak or needs to further review the material. Summary sheets are useful and most importantly, the final practice exams give a good sense of how long and the difficulty of the questions. Would highly recommend all candidates to practice exams and set aside enough time to review and understand the questions answered incorrectly.

I was not a fan of the instructor. He was a jerk who belittled students if they asked questions that were from the real world. I took the class 2 times and the instructors contradicted each other. My is maybe a little different then the average Kaplan student, but the rudeness from the instructor was horrible.

I loved how easy the course work was to go through. It was organized very well. The stimulated exams do not prepare you for the actual exam. I thought by taking those and practicing over and over I would be more prepared. I failed the first time I took the exam. I learned more by buying the study prep directly from PSI. Kind of disappointed because Kaplan was not cheap and I ended up having to spend more money than I wanted to on extra learning materials to pass the state exam.

I never heard back when I put in tickets for technical issues, and customer service in general was not user friendly at all. I had to reschedule examinations twice due to technical issues, neither of which they were willing to refund even partially. Will not be recommending this platform.

Terrific study system to help you pass your state exams. Excellent instructor for the virtual class!

I passed the series 65 on my first try the mocks are substantially harder than the real test and the material over-prepares your in a great way the q bank is magnificent

Been so consistent, reliable and also makes the educations so easy to understand.

1st of all, the Kaplan customer support line from number (800) 237-9990, Option 3, most of reps are VERY RUDE and impatient!!!!!!! Especially this guy PJ, he screams at me so many times over the phone, and pretends he is helpful from very beginning! Why Kaplan still keeps people like this?

2nd, I did my CFP online class, most of instructors appear to be “too chill”, just read slides and talked some jokes. From so many classes, I only like 2 instructors, and they seem hard working and willing to help! My 2 stars are giving to them.

But the worst of all, the customer support line from #(800) 237-9990, Option 3, 99% of the reps there are EXTREMELY RUDE, IMPATIENT, NO CARE of students! I just wanna hang up the phone every time when I hear PJ picks up the call with his high pitch, fake friendly voice! And he picks up the call a lot, not sure if he is intentional or just not so many folks work there. This makes me wanna stay away from Kaplan! And I will tell my friends not to use them as well!

Tons of grammatical errors; confusing and misleading content that does not line up with state exams; acess to materials is very short and highly expensive. Learn from my mistake, dont use kaplan!! Use the courses provided on your states specific testing website. Much less expensive and way more accurate.

I'm frustrated that we constantly need to participate in the verified poll to confirm our presence. I submitted PTO for this, but due to an internet glitch, I missed the update that the host removed me. Our time is just as valuable as yours. I was in the middle of a three-hour session, and now I have to reschedule my time off, which is very frustrating. Additionally, I had to schedule another session because there was no clear instructions on how to find the live session weren't provided, leading to another rescheduling. Please improve the process and give clearer guidance.

I passed and learned some things for presentations.

Kaplan's courses are well organized and contain all the information I need to succeed with the tests.

Easy to navigate and the relearning process is smoother.

I would highly recommend Kaplan as i have taken the class and test in one week and passed, they are amazing and it’s definitely worth the money

The interface was super friendly and easy to navigate compared to other testing material I used. Also the analytics were incredible, really being able to see which areas need more focus.

I purchased the Life and Health course. This gave me all the tools need to pass my exam on the FIRST try. Having the QBank Quizzes and also the Simulated Exams really helped me prepare for this test.

I am so sorry I chose Kaplan
The preparation for the exam is just awful, very generic (the book they send is written like a generiuc college textbook), and does not organized you for the Pierson Vue test.
You cannot repeat the Kaplan exams once you’ve completed the mastery exam to practice
If you want flash cards, those cost extra money
There is zero discussion about how the scoring system works at Pierson view or what number of questions will be in each section of the exam. I found out later other training facilities clearly spell all of this out.
Therefore, when you get your test result from the state through Pierson Vue, you have no idea what the four categories mean.
I found that Dohrn Insurance training provides all of these material and knowledge in detail, describes the test, tells you how many questions are in each section of the test and is a much better preparation system. Do NOT waste your money at Kaplan. The people that answer their phones have no answers for you and cannot help you.
If you need to ask question you have tro email the instructor, then wait 48 hours (I never received a response after 2 separate emails at all) and you can only submit the request via email internal in the Kaplan system. … I could go on and on.
Make sure whatever you do, if you want to get a refund for not passing your exam on the 1st try, do not take the mastery exam until you’ve scheduled your exam because there’s probably not a test in your area within three days. The refund system only works if you take the state test within three days of your master exam and there were none close by to me within three days. So the money back guarantee is worthless.
I learned the material on my own and it has taken me three attempts to pass the general portion of the exam. I already passed the state law portion. I just paid Dohrn prelicensing services and found out everything I need to know for my 4th attempt.
