Many options for practice tests and reviewing the material. It was also broken down into manageable chunks and scheduled out for me.

Great and easy to follow

The instructor was amazing! He did a wonderful job of making important items more memorable with relevant stories, acronyms, and explanations. I passed my exam on the first attempt thanks to the class that I took. The materials were very well organized and the course followed along perfectly.

The study materials are current, the test topics and sample questions are representative of topics tested, and their learning methodologies can satisfy every learner. I prefer to read familiar topics, but watch instructional video on topics new to me. And I prefer short unit quizzes to longer sample exams. It’s all here.

It was good to read the content and then also utilize the videos. The class was useful as well. Making your own tests to work on what you need to focus on more was a big help.

Easy to understand.

Compared to other online educational platforms for California insurance licensing exams, Kaplan is not better and, to understand the material, demands that you use Internet searches to get past what is a severe limitations in the depth of the material they present. Therefore, as a standalone resource, Kaplan repeatedly falls completely short . But it does give you a flow path of topics to expand on with your own searching online on your own. But you could get an outline like that for free and not waste your time or money purchasing a Kaplan course for this at all.

Kaplan provided the materials just the way I like to study - self-paced, short chapters, lots of quizes and short videos. I thought their tracker was a little confusing to use, but that's a minor complaint. Overall the experience was good. I took some study tests from outside Kaplan before testing and failed them. It freaked me out. The real life test was very similar, and I passed it first attempt.

Had a great instructor! Chris was engaging and entertaining, and I felt like I had a really good understanding of the material. I found myself recalling some of his stories during my state exam and fully believe it helped me pass!

The lessons you guys provide are fairly well thought out, but only to a certain degree. You spend too much time on the legal mumbo jumbo, when instead, you need to simplify and deliver a summary in layman's terms. Many of us--while in the stages of learning--are not familiar with the lingo associated with the investment world, or the insurance world, so often times, I found myself looking toward AI to clarify and simplify lessons that were just provided. Specific examples would be highly advantageous. It allows oneself to view / read the information received in context. Furthermore, examples provides a contextual situation that fosters ease of understanding.

I purchased Kaplan for the Series 65.

1. I'd like to address that only having 6months access to the course material is not worth the money - especially if you fail your first attempt at the 65 (which 40-50% of people do). You should get access for 1 year at least or, indefinitely.

2. This text book and course are complete OVERKILL. in almost half of the units there will be information that "will not be tested" WELL THEN WHY IS IT IN THE BOOK AND VIDEOS?!?!?! If Kaplan could just communicate with NASAA and get a grip on the specifics of the core concepts they honestly could probably cut out and/or refine 20-30% of this course material and more people would pass the 65 on their first attempt.

3. Also there is WAYYYY too many math calculations in the Kaplan quiz bank. On the actual Series 65 exam you may only actually use a calculator on 4-7 of 140 questions depending on your question draw. Maybe even less if you can use deductive reasoning to spot the correct answer instead of doing a calculation (eg: correct answer number has to be lower than the numbers given in the question and the only answer for available in the answer set that is lower is C)

4. There is absolutely no flow to these learning objectives. Some units will be able to complete in an hour and some units will take 5-10hrs to get through. There is a 33 page unit that may only have 2 questions on the actual 65.... NARROW IT DOWN.

5. This is for NASAA and Kaplan but also just some of the things in here need to be brought to recent times in terms of storing information, client communications, advertisements, investment recommendations, risk and investment vehicles people actually use today. You are required to lean about things you will likely never use in the real world, or if you do, it will be a very one off situation that you're going to need to look up anyway.

6. The Audio textbook is clearly read by AI and AI doesn't know how to pronounce many things and has no inflection or cadence. Kaplan you make hand over fist in study material sales. Pay a real life human to read the books in a studio.

7. Kaplan needs to add a feature to the Qbank where you can just be test on specific topics - not just specific units and sections. For example, I'd like to be able to go into the Qbank and just every single question about an IRA or Bond Yield Curves, or every question about a Put Option regardless of unit/section they are in.
