I would leave a 0 star review if possible. I purchased what was supposed to be a birthday present for my soon to be fiancé. I figured buying some earrings would be a good barometer for how purchasing an engagement ring would work.

Don’t use them. He shouldn’t go to Jared. I was not notified my order could not be filled and am now doing a second round of shopping! When contacting customer support, I was given legal print. Ask yourself this, if you’re trying to purchase a unique, beautiful piece; would you do some from a faceless corporation? No. Don’t do it.

BUYERS BEWARE-Flimsy low quality products

I wish I could give negative reviews. I finally decided to buy something for myself- $200 earrings and they fell out in no time. What kind of quality is this? When I Tweeted to them, their customer service came back to me saying we don't replace "lost items", putting all the blame on me instead of at least taking a closer look at their quality.

Jared the ripped off jewelry store

I brought wedding set from them the diamond kept been loose on the ring so they end up putting bigger prom on them okay that work so after that we had put some diamond I another ring every single one oof the diamond fell out so we end up just getting another ring. Then this year we want matching ring so we had one customized like mines with black diamond pick up in April the dam diamond fell out 4 months after we got the ring took it back to be repaired pick it up 2 days later the diamond fell out again I was pass the hell off the they going to tell me no refund are returned that send me off more we spend 4000 dollar for nothing ya'll don't know how to set diamond on ring I will be pursuing this until they stop selling fake diamond are get someone that know how to set diamond.

Terrible product, terrible customer service and terrible “warranties”

If I could give negative stars I would. My husband bought my engagement and wedding ring here and had them put in his grandmas diamond into a setting. It’s only 4 years old, and somehow the setting popped off last night and I lost his grandmas diamond! I went in to get help and at first they said they would cover the setting and diamond worth up to $2,800. They had me pick from two different diamonds and asked me to wait in the waiting area afterwards. I sat there for another hour and they came back out and said “oh sorry we were mistaken, we won’t cover any of this because we aren’t liable.”. Apparently the diamond bond warranty my husband purchased isn’t lifetime any more and has expired?!? (After only 4 years). They told me they can’t and won’t help me so I’m basically screwed, lost his grandmas diamond because of their terrible setting and no reimbursement or help from them at all. Do yourself a favor and buy else where.

Don’t go to Jared

Don’t go to Jared I went to have my watch battery changed for a watch I purchased at the store before they even touched it they said it would have to be sent out for repair for 2 months and that it would be a additional charge. They did not even touch the watch and what is covered under my warranty? Why does it have to be sent out to where ? They do their own repairs in house. I explained that I thought it was a simple battery repair they completely ignored me and insisted on the shipping out for a 2 month repair process. Thanks Jared in Depford went to my local jeweler changed my battery for $8.00 and the watch works fine. Not to worry I won’t be back for a repair or any future purchases. Thanks for nothing.

I would give this place no stars if I…

I would give this place no stars if I was allowed! To make a long story short be sure you have whatever “promotional” paperwork they give you initially. I purchased an engagement ring back in February of 2019. I had the money in full to purchase the ring but was told about a promotion they had where if I applied for a Jared’s card I can do 48 months no interest… I unfortunately never paid attention (which was my fault) to my statements until I finally logged on lately to see how much I have remaining on the balance to go ahead and pay off when I noticed they have been charging me interest this entire time… when I called customer service they informed me I applied for 48 months low interest?!!! Why would I elect to pay interest at all when I had the funds to purchase in total!! If I would’ve known I would be paying interest I would have just paid for the ring up front. I’m more than positive the sales rep lied or mislead me in order for me to sign up for a card. Customer service pretty much told me I was SOL and couldn’t do anything about it. Lesson learned!

I paid $400 for a chain that turned out to be fake!!

Bought a rope chain for my husband for Christmas. Paid right at $400. It broke the first time he wore it. So I took it to my jeweler who told me he couldn't fix it because it is gold plated! Not real gold! I contacted Jared. They told me to take it to my local Kay Jewelry since they're is no Jared near me. The manager at Kay accused me of swapping the chain I received with this piece of crap. I was furious! But they would not help me in any way. I've contacted Jared several times since then. They always put me on hold and then hang up on me! And my emails are ignored. I wish I had read that's reviews before I ordered! This company is horrible!

Stopped in to the smith haven store

Stopped in to the smith haven store. I needed a battery for my watch. The battery cost is about $3.00. I was charged $27.00!! The battery swap took 5 minutes.
Lesson learned. Would never consider shopping there again.

The Grinch who Stole my Money

I purchased a slider bracelet from Jared as a Christmas present for my mother. I asked the gift to be sent in their gift shipping as a Christmas present, but never did, so I had to wrap the present myself (warning #1). She loved the bracelet and wanted to wear it on a special occasion. My mother stored it in the box that it came in, in a cool area and never wore it. On July 13, 2021, when my mother went to take the bracelet out of the box to wear it, she noticed how the bracelet literally changed colors! I was so shocked to believe that this happened as I know how much this present meant to her and the amount of money spent on this present. Buyers, please BE AWARE that if you purchase something from Jared it will turn. I wanted to warn you all NOT to purchase anything from here as I made the mistake and did. Also, I wanted to let you all know that I also purchased another bracelet for my aunt as a Christmas present as well. So I will update you all as soon as I get in contact with her to see if her bracelet turned black as well.

Jasmine Turned a Small Return into a Big Purchase

An hour later, I purchased another diamond cross necklace at $600 AND a diamond ring $400. with the service warranty service, using your 0% interest credit plan.. ONLY because Jasmine Leek was the most amazing sales person that answered a million questions, was so knowledgeable and friendly that my purchase was SO pleasant!! The store manager, Tina Krause answered a couple questions as Jasmine was busy at the register and with the paperwork. I am about to leave the country and will not be home very much this month. So I asked Tina if there was any way a jeweler could size my ring for me while I wait. It's so beautiful and I didn't know when I would be back. Bassin, a jeweler, made an exception and resized my ring in no time. I had the most amazing service and I can't wait to shop at Jared again!!!! Jasime, Tina and Bassin are rock stars!!!

I would give this business less than…

I would give this business less than one star if it was an option. The location in Waldorf has poor customer service, record keeping and quality control. This is a letter of complaint that explains my experience with Jared Jewerly in Maryland. This letter serves as a formal complaint regarding the poor customer service and quality of care I received at Jared Jewelry located at the Waldorf, Md on June 26,2021. The visit was anything but professional or ensured confidence in this business establishment. Absent the original sales person presence, it appears the store lack the ability to access customers documents or maintain accurate records. My visit at Jared Jewelry was an attempt to obtain the certification for a $1000.00 diamond I purchased to replace the chip diamond and ring repair on June 10, 2021. My visit also included an inquiry about the purchase of creating a pair of diamond ear rings, utilizing the diamond that was removed from my wedding ring. My visit at Jared Jewelry lasted in excess of two hours without obtaining the certification in which I was told it was available for pickup by the original sales person on June 10, 2021. On this date one sales person scramble to locate the certification, however unsuccessful.
The search for the certificate continued for approximately forty-five minutes or longer. I observed other customer come into the store and I patiently waited until the sales person attended to them in the process. I was then passed off to another sales person and told she would handle the ear ring inquiry while he continues to search for the certification. The process in which to obtain purchase information and availability regarding the ear ring inquiry was challenging also extended my visit even longer. The sales person was able to provide pricing information and matching details that would require another visit to Jared. Yet, at the conclusion of the sales person ear ring search my certification was still not located. When asked for a printed copy of my receipt of service on June 10, 2021 this too proved to be a challenge. Jared Jewelry records not only misspelled my name and my husband’s name it added to the frustration because again the sales person had differculty locating a record of my purchase because of the misspelling of both my name and my husband’s name. I even provided my telephone number and my husband and the sales person continued to have differculty locating my purchase.

It is safe to say my husband and I have been pleased with past purchases at Jared Jewelry . However, customer service, quality of care and record retrieval needs improvement regardless if the original sales person is present or not. Consumers should feel a level of confidence that if there is a problem with a purchase it will be resolved with ease or if documents are needed proceeding a purchase it will be available upon request. I would not recommend this business to others.

FREDERICKSBURG VA JARED

I cannot even begin to explain how horrible and awful the experience that me and my husband have had with this specific Jared store. My husband has been a customer with them for seven years.... in December right after I gave birth to our first child my husband bought me a beautiful rose gold blue topaz ring I was completely in love with it about two weeks goes by a side stone falls out OK thank God he got the extended warranty I went in they sent me a brand new ring.... two more weeks go by the same stone falls out again so I of course am very irritated because why is this continuing to happen? SoI go back in to get this taken care of.... it ended up being a big issue, there was no communication what so ever, at one point they didn’t even know where my new ring was they couldn’t even find it ....come to find out they had sent the old ring to a specific place to get the stone matched and cut correctly for the setting of my ring again all of this unbeknownst to me and no one could tell me where my ring was at first, which IS A FANTASTIC FEELING.... until finally they had to do some digging around after I was told it could have been picked up by 3pm that day.... so obviously I go in after 3 o’clock that day to pick my ring up and no one knows where it is so like I said we figure it out whatever I was extremely upset that I had drove 40 minutes there just for them to not know where my ring even was… Why? Because there is no communication and there is no professional customer service that comes from this location. The manager Jason acted like he could not care less about these issues that me and my husband have been experiencing with a brand new ring that was just purchased mind you I’m a stay at home mom so i’m not hard on my hands at all and quite frankly from a high class jewelry store I expected something a little bit better of quality that’s not gonna break three times within a month and a half.... seems a little ridiculous to me nevertheless again the manager honestly acted like he didn’t care or give a crap at all about any of the concerns. I’m assuming because the price tag wasn’t big enough for him to really care.....then 2 days It happened AGAIN!!! Same stone had fallen out. I am mediately called my husband extremely upset, pissed off to say the least and told him he needed to take care of it because honestly at this point I was tired of seeing those peoples faces and really not having anything done about this. My husband had gone in to exchange/ return this ring and got a new ring. Now, my husband was told by Jason the manager that the new ring that he had purchased was $800 and that it had real blue topaz in it as well as it was white gold I looked the ring up to try to find a wedding band that would fit for it and the ring is sterling silver and lab created stones… So I called and Asked to speak with someone because I’m not understanding this. Kathy than answers the phone which mind you anytime I’ve been in there she would make all over my baby and was super sweet...clearly, that was fake. She then proceeds to tell me in an extremely unprofessional and rude way that my husband doesn’t want me calling and that if I have any other questions I need to talk to him which I called my husband and he told me that that was completely untrue and that she was lying which doesn’t shock me at all… She almost tried to cuss me starting to say “mother.... (you know the rest) The tone in her voice was so malicious and like she was talking to one of her friends or one of her children and I don’t appreciate that at all. she spoke to me as if I was less than her and as if she didn’t know that we’ve had so many issues with them and so many complaints and I have tried to be so nice for the longest time and be understand since this has been has been happening since December which its now June dealing with this reoccurring issue with them. I finally said to her that’s fine we no longer want to do business with them due to the fact that it’s been hell since day one and the. I hung the phone due to being SOOO infuriated with how I was just spoken to by A MANAGER..... again NO professionalism AT ALL. Needless to say this is a horrible Jared location the managers Are extremely rude, only care about the price tag which is then assessed as to how they need to have their customer service with individual customers and quite frankly they just really don’t care. I have never in my life dealt with a corporation, company whatever you wanna call it that has been so dysfunctional and so unprofessional I hope this genuinely helps somebody before purchasing from this locations store… It’s time to do better Jared of of Fredericksburg.

MISUSING PRIVATE INFO. WITHOUT PERMISSION TO OPENING A CHARGE CARD ACCOUNT. DISHONEST AND UNPROFESSIONAL STAFF. WORST SHOPPING EXPERIENCE EVER.

I came with my fiancé to shop for our engagement ring and spent about an hour at Jared, 4503 Ashford Dunwoody Rd NE, Atlanta, GA 30346. During the visit, the salesperson constantly urging us to make the purchase, but we had made it clear that this was just our first visit and wanted to be deliberate on our decision. So no rush...However, as I tried on the different rings, sales kept throwing out pressure on us to decide soon, making the whole shopping experience unpleasant. Till here, things are still acceptable. I understand as a salesperson get your consumer to pay for the products is your job so that I can empathize with the situation.

TO MAKE MATTERS BAD, the salesperson kept promoting all the benefits of pay in installments and convincing us to consider a purchase in this way. After we made it clear that we were planning to lease a car recently, so not considering opening a new loan account at the moment because it could have an impact on our credit score. Sales still persuade us to make a quick inquiry to see what offer we could get on that installment and insist it doesn't matter even though we don't purchase the ring. To ensure there won't be a hard pull or credit history impact by only checking the offer, My fiancé asked like three-four times for the confirmation to the salesperson who was serving us as well as her co-workers, none of them could give a positive answer on that, which was very unprofessional. Then what happened is we did get a hard pull inquiry record from Experian after we got home later. Although this wasn't Salesperson's fault alone and we should persist not even let them do any offer check at the beginning to avoid this happened, but still if any of salespersons could answer the basic question that my fiancé asked that could prevent what happened on us.

THIS IS NOT EVEN DONE YET, THE WORST PART OF THE STORY; three days after the visit, my fiancé found out that Jared had secretly opened a charge card account WITHOUT GETTING HIS PERMISSION. We have NEVER consented to open an account with any person we met that day as well as we have NEVER received any oral or written request or application from Jared. This is RIDICULOUS and SCARED! Imagine you stop by a jewelry shop, just look around, and suddenly a revolving account appears on your credit report without any reason. We had disputed this account and still waiting for a response from the credit bureau.

Went to Jared at Willow Grove location…

Went to Jared at Willow Grove location on Friday, May 7, 2021 before noon with my significant other to inquire about two items I saw online. After entering the premises a tall white male approached me and welcomed us in and ask if he could help us out. I said I was looking into a ring. When I said “ring”, he immediately looked over to an African American woman and repeated what I said. It was almost like watching a skit from a show. I started to explain to her that I saw a Pandora ring that Jared was selling for a discounted price online and wanted to see it in person before considering buying it. The African American rep stated, “Oh we don’t sell Pandora in store, only online.” At first I said, “Oh ok, that’s fine.” Then this is where she made me feel as if we didn’t belong there anymore and stated “There is a Pandora in the Willow Grove mall.” It wasn’t that she was redirecting me on where to go that was the problem, it was the way she said it, as if to say, we were wasting our time at there location and perhaps me and my partner were better suited elsewhere and Willow Grove mall was more our speed. If she had not been so inadequately presumptuous, she would have known that I was also there to see the Neil Lane collection of engagement rings for my son who is planning to propose to his girlfriend and would have easily have paid the $2,500 to $3,500 it would have cost to get it that very same day. Reps like her should be fired. Never judge a book by its cover, never. I went to another jeweler that treated me far better than this location and got the ring we were looking for without unnecessary judgmental eyes and demeanor. You see what a little kindness would do? It can cost you the cost of a ring.

Buyer Beware!! Absolutely unacceptable!!

After purchasing my engagement ring at Jared with no problems, we were pretty excited when we had finally paid our Jared card down enough to be able to purchase a wedding band to go with it. After weeks of combing their site and comparing rings, I finally found the perfect one at an unbeatable clearance price. It said my size was in stock, and initially, the transaction went through without a hitch. Then, not even two hours later, I get an email saying that my order had been canceled due to it being out of stock. I was a little annoyed to have wasted all that time and gotten my hopes up when it never should've been listed for sale if it was out of stock in the first place. Let alone, let the whole Transaction go through just to cancel it after the fact. But I do understand that things happen. And since I had a back up choice that was an equally good deal, I figured no biggie, I would just purchase that instead. Because I assumed since the order was immediately cancelled, SURELY no money had been charged from my available balance yet. Um....WRONG! They not only let me purchase something out of stock, only to cancel it immediately after, but the amount of the canceled purchase has also been deducted from my spending limit. Meaning now I'm not getting the initial ring, I'm out the money to purchase the back up ring, and have no idea when I will get my money added back to my available balance. And, judging by many other's reviews, have no idea what I'm going to have to go through to get my money back. This is nothing short of fraud, and is completely UNACCEPTABLE for a company that handles so many people's hard-earned, sometimes long-saved money. I will be paying off and canceling their card. I will wait twice as long to save up again before I ever give them another penny of our business.

Do not buy

Do not buy, there website is a scam! I wish I would've found this site. I also was charged 7 times for items that were out of stock, I contacted my bank and now I have to wait to get my money bank. The company should be fined and removed!

Worst website ever!!!

I pressed the button to complete my purchase, and I received an error stating an item was out of stock. However, the transaction went through 10 times. Yes... 10 times. Now i have no order and a huge line of credit to the Max until these charges come off. It turns out all if the items are out if stock. I don’t understand how a company this lathe operates this way. I took a lot of time to pick out My items. Very dissatisfied and disappointed.
