Poor customer service
I made the trip all the way there for them to turn down replacing a simple stuck SIM card. I'm ordering the kit to do it myself now. Complete waste of time.
Bluewater Branch.
Took an iPhone 13 Pro in to the Bluewater branch with a suspected failing charging port. Advised that the phone probably just needed a service and clean. 15mins later phone returned all working and for a cost a lot less that expected….highly recommended for your phone needs.
Scrapped my phone and SIM without telling me.
Bought a replacement phone, I had to get the battery replaced immediately because it lasted about 10 minutes, then the software died. I took it in for them to look at, and I was emailed about a week later, when I was told they had taken both my phone and SIM card and disposed of them both. They didn't tell me or give me the opportunity to receive my SIM card or phone back before they scrapped them. I now have no clue what to do.
Great experience
Great experience. My iPhone 13 Pro Max looks like new after the repair. The repair was through insurance company.

Got a replacement battery fitted no problem, took an hour. The battery stopped recharging within 3 weeks, took it back and I had to return twice to the shop and sent away again, ended up having to hang about for 4 hours for the replacement this time. Not impressed.

Terrible customer service
Slightly long story so apologies in advance but with every poor review I feel like the context is highly necessary. (This review is for the Charing Cross.)
I paid c. £250 for a screen replacement as my screen was cracked. Now it was still working fine but I decided it would likely get worse over time so just bite the bullet and get it repaired. It's worth mentioning that the same thing happened with the same phone a year earlier. That time I also went to iSmash and they repaired it and it worked fine.
This time however when I received my phone back I noticed that people couldn't hear me properly on the phone. The big clue (and apologies but this is niche now) was when I tried to use my guitar tuner app which uses all the microphones to triangulate the correct pitch - it simply no longer worked.
I went back to the store to explain these issues - a phone isn't hugely useful if people can't hear you on phone calls - and the guy refused to believe it could be linked to the screen repair. He then did some very basic tests (like recording a voice note etc.) and concluded it was working.
I went away and then these problems persisted so I started research it myself. I used Gemini and it explained that microphone 1 is easy to damage when repairing pixel 7 pros. I went to the store to explain this to Gurpreet and he said that it has never happened and refused to accept what I was saying. I had to show him Gemini answer and he still refused to believe it and only when Gemini suggested he run a full diagnostic test did he finally agree to doing this. (If you have any doubt about my review here, just ask Gemini or GPT if damaging the microphone is a common problem when replacing a screen on a pixel 7 pro). You can also tell as about a year ago I wrote a positive 5 star review on Google for my previous service (I had to delete it to leave this one but I pasted a screenshot so you can see it).
Essentially I had to go twice and argue quite persuasively for him to run a diagnostic test (which it turns out it totally standard procedure).
It's also worth noting that one of the arguments Gurpreet put forward is that pixel 7 pros only have two microphones, one at the back and one at the front. This is of course incorrect with some basic Google search but it does raise questions about the competency in my opinion.
He finally ran the diagnostic test and surprise microphone 1 wasn't working. He then agreed to order a replacement part and said he would contact me when it arrived. I never heard from him so weeks later I call and go into the store and I'm told there are none in stock. But, he said there was a spare pixel 7 pro with a broken screen in store so he would swap it out free of charge. Great I thought, this was going to be it.
I go to pick it up and he explains that the replacement didn't work and said there was considerable damage to the motherboard likely to have been made when they did the screen repair. He said that he will order a replacement and do it free of charge. I get an email confirming this and I think wow this is the best service I've experienced so far with the company.
45 mins after leaving the store I get a phone call from Gurpreet explaining that head office have investigated the case and on the file it says that they were unable to test the phone before replacing the screen due to the screen being damaged. As such, how do they know the motherboard wasn't already damaged by me.
Also, before returning it to me, they failed to do the diagnostic test that would have flagged the broken microphone. So the upshot is they say I will have to pay £380 for a new motherboard (a £60 discount to the full price).
When I took my screen in the phone was still working fine, so I believe the diagnostic test wasn't done because a) the technician couldn't be bothered b) the technician didn't know that was procedure or c) it's a nice way to avoid being on the hook for any damages caused during repair.
Now because I know my microphone worked fine before I took my phone in, it's clear to me it's one of these options. It's also worth adding that not once was the inability to do the diagnostics and the potential consequences of this communicated to me when I took my phone in, they were quite happy to take my money and replace the screen.
So I'm at a point where I've spent £500 getting screens replaced at this store but on one of the occasions they have more than likely caused damage in doing the replacement rendering my microphone useless.
I can't recommend shopping here because if something goes wrong with the repair they will do their best to make you pay for whatever damage they caused. On top of that the service in general is just very poor, it's been a dreadful experience and aside from the money, just a horrendous waste of time.
The reason I'm writing this is to hopefully help others from making the same mistake as I did - find somewhere else to do your repairs.
Great experience, wonderful staff
Great experience.
I went through my bank insurance. The claim was accepted and within 5 mins I got a call from the team here. Same day booking and my phone was fixed in under 30 mins.
Great service. Highly recommend.
MO leads a great team.
Great Service and Repair
I had dropped a bottle on my phone screen and heavily cracked the screen. Claimed on my phone insurance and was asked to use this store. Technician was friendly and professional, and phone fixed quicker than expected, under 3 hours. When collecting phone, i was told tgat the battery had failed the test as phone was 3 years old, so that was replaced too with no extra cost to myself!
