Bagless Delivery

Service used to be good but now home delivery is bagless it takes to long to carry dirty crates through to the kitchen then pile it all on the work surface then put the rest on the floor as space runs out, I also pity the driver who's left waiting, with bags you can bring them all in and unpack one bag at a time, no chaos no rushing and no straining my bad back. Iceland should go to paper bags you can recycle if it's an environmental issue. Until the bags return I will shop elsewhere.

Its not rocket science - poor service we go elsewhere in future. I am disabled.

Yesterday I ordered for the first time…

Yesterday I ordered for the first time on line and it was the worst thing I've ever done
Majority of the food had the next date for best before date and opened the chicken breast with BBD being 06052026 and the meat was yellow and un-eatable.... Whole chicken and pork loins went in the bin along with 2 bags of soft potatoes so last time I use Iceland for shopping

I order online the thing is at the…

I order online the thing is at the moment I get they are trying to cut down on plastic but this dropping baskets at the front door is not working for me I font like it and I am not happy about it ,what's up with paper bags.I suffer prolapsed disc in back and a hip injury ,bending for shopping and carrying to kitchen isn't great ,I am bit peeved off with it so decided I won't order again as I feel rushed as well ,not for me this bagless basket so looks like it be back to morrisons, not to mention a rude driver saying I need to cut my grass because it's to long as my car was in the way abit he had to walk over the grass which isnt a problem,maybe he can cut it for me as I can't with a back injury,I like iceland but this has spoilt it.

Used to be great service, now they watch you struggle...

I have used Iceland online shopping for years due to being disabled.

Recently, they went bagless, which for me as wheelchair-user means I now have to balance the tote tray on my lap to bring it in, which in itself isn't a big deal, but the look I get from some of the drivers when I lift the totes is one of 'what are you doing?' Recently there havebeen no offer to even help lift the trays on the floor. I have had driver watch me stuggle to lift totes with not even an insincere offer of help.

I spend a lot of money on shopping, usually with at least two trays of soft drinks, sometimes more.

The driver I used to have on my run would bring the shopping in for me without me need to even ask, but I've not seen him for a few months now. These younger ones wouldn't know customer service if it jumped up and slapped them in the face! Watching a disabled person struggle is some great service!

Today's driver even stacked the items up in the tote as if he expected me to bring in two items at a time!

If future I won't be rushing around.

And the Tuesday senior citizen discount is patronising
Still he must be feeling smug as he mugs us all
All politicians the same.....get stuck in to the trough, and sod the rest of the 'little people'

I often see the owner talks about what he and his company do for the Community. Well I'm from the community. I can't get out so I have to order in.why is a lot of your products more expensive. Sometimes by at least £1.for disabled people this is ridiculous. Your making us poorer,so stop going on tv saying we help the people on low incomes. You absolutely rob the people blind.and you've been doing it far to long.go to farmfoods or bm or asda,coop and compare yourselves.

That's why I chose Iceland a few months ago because they were using bags!!! BRAINLESS ACTION HAD ME CANCEL MY ORDER IMMEDIATELY. NOBODY WANTS BAGLESS SO WHY IMPLEMENT IT???? No more orders from me

Bagless delivery is shocking!!
Stooped on your doorstep emptying items out of the crates, from the floor, 1 by 1 is ridiculous. Time to move to another retailer for me now for delivery.

Falling short

Been a customer since around Covid 19 and while they were exceptionally great, especially during a time like that, their standards have come to fall a good deal short very recently. Delayed delivery times, missing frozen items, and broken up deliveries. Moreover, it can be a pain when calling whichever branch is responsible for the delivery, because you might get somebody who seems impatient, or even a person answering, and its a double whammy when you have to cite a lengthy list of undelivered items. Curiously, this coincided with the inception of a new era they ushered in not long ago called "bagless delivery".

While I personally dont mind this aspect much, given I am a very abled man in his late 20s, I have a 60+ year old mum who is disabled with severe mobility issues, where this would fall no shorter than a nightmarish challenge, especially in the long run. I cannot even begin to imagine how troubling it would be for a senior shopper with strict physical disabilities or anyone for that matter, and ontop of that, it can prolong the delivery time for the driver. This may not seem much for one customer, but stack it up and it could potentially be hours in a single day added to their shifts.

It's hardly beneficial for customers and I doubt it's beneficial much for Iceland either. I'm sure there are people who genuinely like bagless delivery and think it shouldnt be reverted, so I propose a compromise: Iceland should return bagged delivery but as an option with an extra fee incurred. This pleases both sides and Iceland would stand to lose far less customers in the long run.

I’ve ordered Iceland online deliveries…

I’ve ordered Iceland online deliveries for close to ten years now and I’ve very rarely had a problem.
Again it comes down to the bag less delivery. I understand why and I knew it was only a matter of time before they followed the rest of the supermarkets in doing so.
The thing is - these drivers aren’t used to waiting for you to unload everything it was always drop the bags and go so they “help” you load your bags to save time. I get a certain brand of meal as they’re healthy and I have a very busy life but the film on top is very fragile. In throwing the meals in the bag often the film is getting pierced or simply unattaching to the plastic. I addressed this the other week with the driver who very nicely checked everything and was very delicate.
I’ve had a delivery this morning and again throwing everything in a bag for life but this time asked my partner to sign a form to say there were no damages!!! We won’t know til we go to use them! Also we were given a little slip of paper to say the order had been checked for missing items and damages and signed and dated by someone! On putting the food away I’ve already had to discard two meals because they were damaged. I’ll take to going to the actual store myself in future.

Bagless delivery

Delivering without bags makes the delivery difficult, I have health issues, and now have to empty goods onto the floor and then pick all up again, I feel for the drivers, it surely cannot be cost effect(takes a lot longer) you get charged a picking charge and also several items out of stock, not impressed at all, will not use them again.

As far as delivery is concerned no problems actually very good. Most products were delivered in order with few replacements. The problem I had after using them for a long time was poor customer service and mis advertised product deals. I bought an item clearly marked as buy 2 get one free and it did not happen, customer services unhelpful and when they finaly offered something they kept asking the details I had previously supplied.closed my account after this mis information as there is no sighn things will change.

Useless

Useless every time there’s something wrong with the delivery. Which they state is free it isn’t. So they put it down as packing. There’s things missing they never pick up the phone so you have to spend ages on hold with the head office. Then it’s still not sorted out. I will not bother with them anymore. The words fresh fruit and veg needs to be looked up here. It seems they have some confusion

Bought a beef Madras

Bought a beef Madras, ugh, fatty, had loads of bits of bay leafs I had to search for as I was eating it. Was very watery.
Not very nice at all.
Husband had Chinese chicken curry, again, not nice, watery and tasteless.
Don't expect a lot for the money I paid but I do expect it to be edible!

Placed an online order which never…

Placed an online order which never arrived despite saying ‘delivered’ on the tracking. On calling customer services they told me they had spoken to the store and it was on its way. 1.5 hours later I called again for a update on the delivery to just have the phone put down on me whilst on hold.

ABSOLUTE TRASH CON SHOP

I have only been given a £4 refund and you have overcharged me across the whole of my order, I ticked the boxes saying I did not want any substitutions, Persil tabs was offer down from £7.50 to £3.75 you have charged me £8. gourmet catfood 3 for £5, you charged me £7.50, Gourmet pearle, offer was 2 for £9 you charged me £13.comfort fabric softner was on offer down from £6 to £2.75, you charged me £6. 4 for £10 offer included 3 greggs items and a box of fishfingers, you charged me £3.50 for each pf the greggs and £4.40 for the fishfingers, this should have been £10 but you charged me £14.50, you did not deliver the monster energy drinks which should have bee 12 cand for £15, I had 4 cans delivered and you have charged me £15 for four cans and given me a £4 refund, I am NOT paying £11 for four cans of monster. I require refunds for all of the above, this is going to trust pilot, your CEO and head office, not to mention all of my socials !!!!!!!!!!!!!! you have 2 working days to sort it.

love it at Iceland but paying for packing on online and you don't get bags anymore is terrible, me and my family stopped going ice because if they care about customers they'd stop charging for packing if they stop bags on delivery, they are truly con artists.
