What a mistake I made going with grasshopper. They make you pay a year and tell you 7 to 10 business days to port.
After 10 days I called to find out why it's not ported and they never sent a letter to the provider another week goes by and they told me to call my provider because they refused it. I call my provider and they tell me they never received it so now I have to call GRASSHOPPER back and then they send it over and I have to wait another two days then they’re trying to set me up and they couldn’t set me up and that took another 45 days and now I want to cancel and they tell me I can’t cancel because I ordered it on January 7 and I only had seven days to cancel, but they didn’t get it up for 23 days. Then I had a few days of problems that it wasn’t the phone wasn’t working and now they won’t give me my money back because I could only cancel with seven days what an horrible company and a horrible horrible customer service do not go there now I’m getting charges at four dollars a month that I have no idea what it’s for stay away.

They strong armed me when I tried to cancel
To say I’m not happy with this company is a major understatement.
The app didn’t really work in the service itself was not good.
I woke up every day to multiple emails in my inbox from these people trying to upsell me and send me helpful article articles that I didn’t find helpful at all.
So tonight, I decided to cancel. Only they literally would not let me cancel through the portal that they set up to cancel.
Everything is deliberately convoluted, and there is too much friction to cancel normally.
Example, I thought that I was going to be able to successfully cancel through their website, but then the only option they gave me was to call them by phone to cancel. Yeah, right!
So I clicked that button and it gave me an error and said that this option is not available. Yeah right! Retention tactics anyone?!
I finally sent them an email to their email address…
This is just a warning, don’t charge me after this.

I've been using Grasshopper for years, and it has been a great time saver. It is easy to use, and the setup is simple. I highly recommend Grasshopper to any business owner.

This company is the biggest scam
This company is the biggest scam! I have had nothing but issues! They have charged me on several occasions for things I didn’t want. Their system straight up doesn’t work. I have missed many potential business leads because it isn’t set up right after I have gone through it with them and tested it! Their system is so wonky! Oh, and they won’t give me my money back to cancel! I wanted this phone line to generate business, but have actually lost a lot of business. Don’t waste your money or time! The stress alone is not worth it!

I can turn off the unified view on the app, but cannot find this feature on the desktop.

Closed my Account - No Warning
They shut down my number without telling me. Did not have a reason when I called. I was fully paid up and everything. This was the number I was using for my new org and we missed all kinds of calls. Total waste of time and money AND embarrassing for our organization! They also did not apologize nor did they give me a chance to reactivate so I don't miss future calls.

The platform itself is entirely too…
The platform itself is entirely too complicated. We are not easily able to use the application in place of our native phone dialer. Three-way calls are impossible. The help articles do not provide sufficient guidance and are often related more to a sibling application under Grasshopper's parent company. Submitting registration for SMS is made incredibly difficult and the GH support often are unable to help, though they do what they can. The support team is one of the saving graces for this company, though.

DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE!
My husband and I ported our Google Voice number into their system to realize this was just a forwarding service. When I realized I immediately requested that our number be ported back to Google. The specialist I spoke with said that I did not need to cancel our account until the number was ported out or I would lose my number. We have made 3 payments to this company. I requested 1 refund for the last payment that came out of our account 3 days ago. They refused to refund. DO NOT USE this service. They have stolen our money. We never used the service not one time and they have had 3 payments from us because we were waiting for the number to be ported out.

Avoid Grasshopper. They automatically renew your account without an email reminder or anything. You have to cancel before 30 days prior to renewal - as a small business a curtesy reminder for renewal is crucial. I called and was offered a partial refund to lower my subscription level (pretty sure we already had the lowest), I was not told that if I declined that offer at the time, then the offer would expire. I declined hoping to get a full refund, but my request was declined and then the partial refund was taken off of the table. We originally also paid $318 and this renewal was magically $411. There are so many options for services like this, choose a different company.

Absolutely horrible!
Absolutely horrible!
Service was minimal. All customer service is outside the US. When I tried to get an issue resolved, everyone said it was some other department. Expect to be on hold for an hour plus for the line to the disconnect. We decided within a month to transfer out. It took them WEEKS to get our numbers ported out. (Once the other company had them, about 1 day to get active.) I would NEVER recommend Grasshopper to anyone.
