If there was a way to give more than 5 stars, I would happily do it. Gohagen did a fabulous job start to finish with our trip. From the pre- trip communication, to the momentos, to the personal attention from the travel directors, everything was amazing! They handled the logistics of the excursions and local tour guides expertly too. We had a couple of minor issues come up ( no fault of Gohagen) and they resolved it promptly and always with a smile. We would definitely book with them again for future trips.

The team who organized each day did a masterful job. They were informative, organized, flexible, and patient. We loved our trip. It was the best. Being in the Greek Isles was great too.

Everyone on tour organization staff was helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. Also - flexible to individual needs - big plus. Each event went off on time, but did not feel rushed.
Booking - you answer the phone, although I was a little confused as to whom I needed to speak with on different subjects, but I was always directed to right place and helped.
Hard to top Naples, the Amalfi Coast, Sicily and Malta. Malta elections threw a spanner in our visit plans - big crowds, could not visit palace - but the Co-cathedral alone is worth it and the archeological museum was just right. Whole trip was good mix of sights and all local guides were very knowledgeable and able to handle questions - not just reciting text.
Touring group and ship were also the right size - enough people to mix and greet, but not so large as to be overwhelming. Ship staff was very good and accommodating. Great food! This was supposed to be my last tour, but now I'm rethinking that plan. Would be happy to travel with you again.

Overall a great experience; very well organized and a great small cruise ship. Not a 5th star because of the quality of several of the local guides: their English speaking skills were too basic.

The Atlas ship, the World Voyager, was exquisite from its design, services, and staff. This was my first cruise and I loved it!!!
Our excursions were also wonderful and meaningful, especially the Santiago de Compostela, Mont St Michele, and the Normandy beaches.
The lecturers were instructive and approachable.

From the time we made our reservation, Gohagan was a highly reliable communicator, promptly answering all our queries, including how strenuous our tour (along the southeast coast of Italy, Sicily and Malta) might be for a couple in their eighties. We received detailed answers promptly. They made plane reservations for us and got better prices than I could have. A Gohagan agent at our departure hotel in Naples was very helpful in describing the electrical connectors I'd need to charge my hearing aids, camera, and cell phone and operate my CPAP machine, and blood pressure monitor. Gohagan agents aboard our World Traveler kept us very well informed about upcoming onshore excursions and accompanied us on our daily walking tours, making sure our group stayed together and no one got lost.
Overall, the Gohagan involvement in the planning and execution of our trip was superb.

We can’t wait for our next Gohagan tour. These tours attract high-quality human beings, focus on unique experiences at highly rated venues, and coordinate group stays and gatherings at exceptional hotels.

We have taken 2 trips now with Gohagan through my university USC (southern California). Both have been excellent! Wonderful guides, rooms on the ship and staff were fabulous. We have taken many cruises with other liners and we will definitely go back to Gohagan!

All staff and crew were great! Friendly, helpful and did a great job. Excursions were also great and sensitive to our needs if needing to rest. Ship was VERY comfortable and our cabin very nice. Dining experience always wonderful for a huge selection of fresh food and made to order if desired. There was not a bad seat in the dining areas including outside. We loved the smaller ship and under 200 for passengers. Very fun last night with a staff talent show!!! We met lots of other guests and will be in touch with some in the future. Thanks for the adventure!!!!!!

Overall: It was an excellent trip.

Excellent staff. Exceptionally clean environment, with fully spectrum of amenities. Outstanding local guides and on-ship speakers. Plus superlative efforts in supporting guests according to their mobility levels on excursions.

Connected with agents from a previous trip. Loved having an agent on each bus.

On board speakers. Tour guides on excursions. Ease of travel because of excellent coordination of buses. The Gohagan trip directors were experienced, helpful, organized and knowledgeable.

First, events were canceled that were advertising the pre-trip of Rome. This bothered us a lot. Local guides that were hired or not as knowledgeable as on our other trips. There are two guides that were very good, but the rest were not.

Another reason, my husband wanted to go on this trip was to hear more about the Italian invasion by Allied troops. But Mr. Eisenhower got off on tangent, and talked way more about other things. It was clear his knowledge of this area was not sufficient.

The GOHAGEN tour directors on our ship were not very helpful. Seem to be an extraneous cost. The Canadian Tours Director, a male, I can’t think of his name, didn’t seem to do anything on the cruise. He said he had over 30 years of experience. I have no idea what he did to help.

Even though the world traveler was a beautiful ship, the service and food was well below our expectations.

Inconsistent support. Males were preferred. I am referring to defective water bottles. I requested assistance and was told to ask ship staff. A male friend asked for assistance and was immediately given a new bottle by gohagan.

Overall, not worth the hefty price tag. I do not recommend.

Great staff, accommodations, tours and experiences

The people with Gohagan were wonderful! Our booking/pre-trip period was over the holidays and I had inadvertently let some decisions slip by. They stayed on top of us so we made the appropriate decisions for our excursions before it was made for us. Then when we were in hilly Lisbon, a staff member arranged for me with poor knees and another traveler (using a Rollator because of recent, unexpected surgery) to take a taxi to a traditional dinner everyone else was taking the bus to get to. That bus trip in the narrow streets would have necessitated a half block walk uphill (and downhill going home which is the worst for bad knees) to enter the restaurant. And when we offered to pay he said don't worry about it. So very thoughtful all around! What they don't tell you in the brochure about rating the difficulty of the "hikes" is that they are used to having people with canes and have incorporated "relaxed walks" into the choices which made it possible for me to see alot more than I thought I would be able to and not get left behind nor feel like I was slowing down the group. Just professional, thoughtful people who never showed any frustration or irritation with a situation.

Loved the small ship experience. The lectures were fantastic. Great local guides. Overall a wonderful experience.

Once we booked and were connected to our travel coordinator, Alison, the whole process went very smoothly. Our travel coordinator always answered her phone and was able to answer our specific questions and handle any concerns/issues that arose. It was very nice to speak directly with someone who understood our needs and was accommodating.
We loved the itinerary as well as the educational experience on board. This was our first adventure on Atlas cruises and we were very pleased with the comfort of our suite and the size of the ship in general. The staff of the ship were helpful, pleasant, and very hard working. The variety and quality of the food was excellent.
The travel experts on board were always attentive and helpful.
Overall we were extremely pleased with our cruise and are very happy we chose to travel on this very special journey with Gohagan. Hopefully, we can experience additional adventures with Gohagan in the future.
