Excellent service and product.
I ordered my second bulk bag of organic compost on Tuesday for deliver the following Friday.
It arrived as promised and the Pallex Lincoln delivery drive (Andrew) off loaded at my back gate as requested.

Failed to deliver on set date after taking a day off work and spent whole day waiting in. No phone call to say they couldn't deliver. Very unprofessional don't use this company if you value your time as they certainly don't.

Excellent service - I ordered a bag of golden gravel and it arrived exactly when it was expected.

Excellent Product - I recently ordered a bulk bag of Organic Green Compost PAS 100. The delivery was very quick and arrived two days after placing my order in late April.
I have used this to establish two new lavender beds to the front of my property and I was very impressed with the quality of the product.

Ordered 45 oak sleepers, picked my delivery date. They turned up before 11:30 on day of delivery, delivery driver very helpful dropped the 2 pallets on my drive with no issues.

Was a little apprehensive because of some of the negative reviews on here, but had no issues. Quality of the sleepers is very good with some with a waney edge but you expect that with oak but adds to the character.

Thanks so much Gardoo will use you again if I need any more sleepers, and far cheaper than anything I can get locally.

Missing order
I was due an order on Friday 7th May too Paul .... guess what, mine never arrived either! Have emailed the company, awaiting a reply. Like you took a day off work & waited in all day 8am - 6pm. So angry.

Waited for a delivery of binding sand out for delivery Friday 7th may,at 3.30 I emailed the company to be told the delivery had been tracked and out for delivery
Surprise to be still sat there at 18.30 awaiting the tracked delivery,after reading the reviews I’m not surprised,but you like to give the benefit of the doubt,cost a days wage to be sat it the van 10 hours and who is now going to pay me for the extra day I have to lose to wait another 10 hours to see if it turns up 😡

Having read some reviews, I was dubious and nearly cancelled the order of 33 garden sleepers. As sleepers are like rocking horse poop at the moment I thought I’d take a risk. Glad I did. Sleepers arrived on time and the delivery driver was extremely helpful. Sleepers were good quality, no damage and straight. Couldn’t fault the service.

Ordered 60 planed 2.4metre sleepers. Chose delivery date when ordered, emailed on morning of delivery to request eta to be given three hour slot in afternoon. Driver could not have been more helpful and put pallets just inside driveway. Sleepers all look very good. Very happy. Thank you Gardoo.

Ordered 55 sleepers 1 week ago with delivery date for today. I received an email 2 days before delivery stating my order has dispatched and due for delivery on time. I received an email on day of delivery stating my order on van for delivery between 8-6pm. The van driver called me 1 hour before arrival and he helped with unloading the sleepers. The items were good with only 1 out 55 with slight damage but can be used. I was apprehensive with the poor reviews and was very worried but my experience with Gardoo has been terrific and will order again. Thanks

Utterly appalling service. I ordered 28 sleepers which arrived as expected, but had white worms in them.

I emailed to have them exchanged, this was agreed and then I have not had any contact since despite repeated emails. No phone number thats works. Will now have to take legal action

Ordered 3 tonnes of topsoil for delivery on a set date. Only 1 turned up, and the rest will be delivered "at some point" Bunch of cowboys. AVOID

Great price and really pleased with the quality of the sleepers. Delivery was prompt and the delivery driver was great.

I was a little nervous ordering my sleepers based on a lot of negative reviews however my order of 27 sleepers I can say I’m generally am happy with and would order again. Non was damaged however some wasn’t square.
Reason for 4 star was delivery.. the driver wasn’t able to drop kerb the pallet so you’ll need to remove manually which was stocking and honestly that needs to be improved.

I ordered 20 green treated softwood sleepers from Gardoo a few weeks ago to build a raised planting bed and have just finished the project. The project required 14 sleepers but I ordered a few more to cover any mistakes I made and hopefully leave a few spare for my next project.

On first inspection, the sleepers were very disappointing. One sleeper was rotten along most of its length and the faces on some sleepers were drenched and discoloured by excessive quantities of sap. When building the raised bed, it became clear that the ends of the sleepers had not be cut "square" which meant that sleepers could not be butted up against one another end-to-end neatly, leaving large, unsightly gaps between sleeper joints. In one of the last cuts I made, I also found evidence of rot in a second sleeper. I ordered 20 sleepers for a 14 sleeper project and struggled to find enough "good" faces for my project.

The unused sleepers cannot be used for my next garden project as they are too unsightly. They have been given to another family member for use in a non-cosmetic application.

In Gardoo's defence, they did refund the money for one sleeper because of the rot (which is why I've given them 2 stars), but they weren't prepared to discuss anything else.

I have worked with green treated softwood sleepers before and have not encountered these issues. I have another raised bed project starting in the next few weeks and certainly won't be buying sleepers from Gardoo for this.

Ordered 20 sleepers a few days ago, with delivery for today as 2 people here to offload. Estimated delivery time given this morning 4-6pm, updated after lunch and arrived at 3pm ish. Delivery driver very efficient and polite. Very happy with sleepers and very happy with the service, will defintely recommend them. Fast, efficient and smooth transaction

Read a lot of negative reviews, I ordered 13 sleepers last week and received them midday today 29/4/2001.
Excellent service and driver very polite and helpful.
Would use them again without a doubt.

I bought 40 planed and bevelled sleepers in July of last year. The delivery was as expected and the driver was very friendly and helpful offloading the sleepers himself. Unfortunately, due to heavy rain which went on for weeks we were unable to check the quality of the sleepers within the required 30 days. The quality of the sleepers was poor with many bevelled edges being incomplete and some faces were not parallel with each other with the machining stopped two thirds of the way along which showed that they had realised a mistake had been made which left a step in the sleeper. There were several with big lumps out of them and some looked like they had been machined with blunt tools. The sleepers were said to be of sufficient quality for a child's play area which is completely untrue. The sleepers were also said to have been pressure treated with tanalith but when cutting the sleepers to size there was clearly no pressure treatment involved as it was clear from the cut face that the tanalith had merely been painted on the surface or possibly briefly dipped. Very disappointed with the quality overall. Having said that we have managed to finish our project with a lot of extra work in squaring off ends, re-making bevels or doing them from scratch and ending up having to fill and paint them.
If you do decide to buy sleepers make sure that you check them thoroughly on arrival. I would hope that given some of the bad reviews that more care will be taken by the company in future to check the quality before leaving the depot.
I didn't raise the issue with Gardoo as it was months before the sleepers dried out and did not take photos of the damage. I have put this down to experience but hope this review will alert others to potential issues.

Having read the reviews I was worried my sleepers wouldn’t arrive. But they did and they arrived on time too. Had to email the company beforehand and got a response quickly. A couple of the sleepers were not cut particularly straight. But I don’t think it will matter.
