Ordered a game -> Order was placed under "manual review."
BUT!!!! They already took my money!!!!!!!

So I'm going to slap them with EU law if they don't refund as I requested. I hope PayPal will be on my side.
(Sure, I have ticked a box that I'll lose my right of withdawl, but this only applies if they fullfill their end of the contract. Since they didn't I still have the right to withdraw.)

Terrible service, locks you out of purchased products and offers no help. Rude sarcastic support team. Go anywhere else....absolutely dreadful.

I've bought quite a lot of digital games from GamersGate through the years. It was pretty straight forward. I pay for a game, I get a code, I activate it and play. But what happens when something goes wrong? Well, goodbye consumer rights.
My latest purchase was Nioh: Complete Edition for which surprisingly enough I got an already used key (duplicate product code error whe activating it on Steam). This is in it's own right a pretty serious problem. A LEGITIMATE Steam key re-seller, selling USED Steam keys. And we are talking about a high profile title, not some obscure indie game. And how do they handle this? They made me wait for a whole week, without a straight answer and then told me to contact Razer to get a refund (as this was paid using zGold). Why not replacing my key? It's not like they don't sell it anymore.
In the meantime all the release discounts for the title are gone from every online digital store and I'm still wasting my time to get my money back, instead of playing it.
I find this both insulting and unprofessional.

Update: It took about a month to get a refund, after bouncing between GamersGate, Razer and briefly the game publisher.

Update 2: Surprise, surprise a new order from Gamersgate and more duplicate Steam keys.

Update 3: They improved a bit over the last couple of months, so I added a couple of stars

Instant delivery is a myth, just bought a game and received nothing, blank space between ''DOWNLOAD' and' ''GIFT'' blank space instead of serial key! and that's not for the first time, my friends also got the same issue, but support refuse to solve it, did not answer to a single message.

Took my money straight away and I have been waiting for over 2 days for a code to download my game. Nothing and no communication. I have now asked for a refund and this company refuses to respond. The simply take your money and run. AVOID !!!!

Wouldve rather spent the extra money and recieved my game when i purchased it to preload rather then be sitting here a day later with no response, funds taken, and "flagged for manual review". Absolute garbage will never buy from them again. Take money instantly but its for my own safety they dont give me my product or take forever to respond.

manual review system needs to be reworked, I love buying a game and then not being able to play it for a whole day because my purchase has been flagged even though I've bought plenty of games from them in the past with no trouble.

Made a purchase from them, and after it was selected for manual review i had to wait 1 day to recieve an e-mail saying my account was banned. Wrote an e-mail to support and after waiting 2 weeks i finally got a reply from this scamers saying my account was unbanned, not even explaining why it was banned in the first place, but ok, nvm, i log in, and try to re-order and guess what - now i get this message "Your account has been blocked for purchase". Wrote again to support and still no reply for over another 2 weeks. I have over 40$ on my account in their virtual currency (Blue Coins) and can't even use it, since they just locked my money and ignore my e-mails.

Bought a game on gamersgate. Never got it as my order went straight to “manual review”. Shortly after my account got locked for “security reasons”. After contacting support was told it will take “days to resolve due to current workload”.

Well, gamersgate didn’t have any “security” concerns taking my money. That happened instantly. Now, I am out of pocket but with nothing to show for it. Total silence from their support team.

In summary, buying a game on gamersgate is like a gamble. You might get lucky and get your product right away. Or their “highly sophisticated manual review” process will lock your account and then…well…good luck resolving it. If you have a choice, go shop somewhere else.

This is a warning to NOT purchase from these guys. Stick with Steam or Origin. DO NOT order or set up an account on GamersGate! I purchased a game and downloaded and it did not work. They are impossible to get in contact with and will not respond to tickets OR provide a refund.

After uploading a corrupt disk image to their website, their customer 'service' proceeded to blame me for it when I sought assistance, became increasingly hostile when I asked for a refund after it became apparent that they just weren't going to resolve the problem, and then just stopped talking to me. Do not buy products from them, because you will regret it.

I wish I saw these reviews before making a purchase. Gamersgate.com will take your money then lock your account! STAY AWAY FROM THESE THIEVES

I'v bought games with friends at gamersgate for total 200$ and they banned our accounts,we havent received the games, they dont response, dont refund,the money just had stolen!
DONT TRUST THIS COMPANY!

Bought Shogun Total War 2 from them after downloading the game (which took 6 hours) and installing the game I received a error message. Everytime I attempted to open the game. I was instructed be Gamersgate to give the error message to the publisher and they would be able to tell me what the error was. The published told me it was a faulty software/corrupt file error and I would need new software. I ask gamersgate for another download they told e its against their policy to issue another download or a refund after the serial number is opened... YOU HAVE TO OPEN THE SERIAL TO DOWNLOAD THE GAME. It was no way I could have known the download was corrupt with out opening the serial to download the game. So now I have NO GAME and STILL OUT OF MY $32.85! They basicallt took my money and said you cant do anything about it! Thats like going to McDonald's paying for a Big Mac and they drop it on the floor step on it until its just mush....you open the sandwich and ask for another one.... then they say "its against policy to give you another one or give you a refund because you aready opened the wrapper" -_-

I ordered an item and was told there was a shortage of keys and it will be available soon, for 2 months! After this they even admitted to knowing they were never going to receive any more keys, but since 60 days had passed it was now "impossible to refund me". Pretty sure that's illegal. Lost my money. Never received a game.

Hate this site, products are misrepresented and refunds are non-existent - who wants to be ripped off?
I bought a game that was not as described and without even using it, the company refused to refund my money.

Been using these guys for several years, always reliable, great prices and support have always been responsive.
