After watching the tv show I had high…

After watching the tv show I had high hopes for my 12 dog.. He had been passing blood in his urine diagnosed with possibly having cancer Of the bladder, I asked for my vet to refer me so you could take my dog to see him ... After getting the referral I spoke to someone on the phone who told me they had loads of options and we would be in good hands ... Well we went up to have the consultation and was less then impressed with there manner and the pushy salesman like approach to the treatment they were offering for my pet ... They in-fact didn’t have loads of options only cemo and all he wanted to know is if I had the 7 grand to go a head without ever doing any tests - just a money making exercise with no care for the animal at all .. Very rude and charged £250 for a ten minute chat which I thought was a joke would advise people not to bother and can’t believe he’s aloud to have his own tv show showing all the great things he does and selling the dream when it’s all a load of rubbish !!

If you love your pet do not take them to fitzpatricks

I was refered to Fitzpatricks by a locom vet
I can only assume they are on commission!!!!

My dog had ruptured his cruciate I went to Fitzpatricks with high hopes I was reassured after speaking with the surgeon That 12 weeks after the operation he would be back to his normal self ?

He went in for the operation I was told I could pick him up the next day this is where it all went horribly wrong!!!!
I got a phone call saying the operation was successful but was then informed they had cut an artery and he would have to stay in as they couldn’t stop it bleeding.

This was on Thursday told I could pick him up on Monday ?????
When I finally picked him up I was also told he had cut his foot ( in a secure cage )

They told me to take him to my local vet after a week to have his bandages changed which I did .
When they unwrapped his foot half his rear pad had been ripped off (on the same leg which was operated on) it also had infection in the wound.
When I phoned to ask what had happened they told me four different stories ?????
Of which non where true .
I had to take my dog 3 times a week for seven weeks to have bandages changed and antiseptic cream put on at my expense just shows how bad the wound was!!!!
I ended up reporting Fitzpatricks to the rvc which in my opinion is not worth doing as they where no help whatsoever as they say they can’t force any vet to investigate malpractices?
The director at the eashing branch is rude and unhelpful until your standing in front of him then he is not as brave as he was over email .

My dog has never recovered from his experience in there non capable hands
He has a major limp and is worse now than before the operation !!!

If you care for your pet please do not take them here unprofessional unhelpful and only in it for the money in my opinion and after reading the reviews of others they should be shut down

Great treatment at Fitzpatricks

We visited Fitzpatrick’s in November. Our Labradoodle Alfie was limping and after spending a fortune at our vets they still couldn’t tell us what was his problem. We asked to be referred to a specialist. They arranged an appointment at another specialists but Fitzpatrick’s was the earliest. Just before we were meant to go our Alfie got really bad. We rang Fitzpatrick’s and got a cancellation that day. Unfortunately our beautiful was was put to sleep. I can’t tell you how much I am grateful to them for putting my Alfie out of pain. I would like to thank everybody at this place for their treatment of us and Alfie, especially Susan Murphy. She was to the point before his ct scan but also very kind in the way his condition could be managed. We didn’t want Alfie to suffer any more as the outcome would only have given him 1 year at the most. I can’t recommend this place enough Thankyou.

I would like to share my experience…wonderful hospital for dogs

I would like to share my experience with this fantastic clinic and their staff: my dog, schnauzer miniature, 10 years old, was diagnosed with sarcoma ( soft tissue cancer ). Being an oncologist myself, I was very worried. I was referred to Fitzpatrick and I could not be more grateful to their staff, a senior vet clinician called Dr Jonathan Bray showed a lot of knowledge and confidence, he advised a reconstructive surgery with skin graft ( flap). The surgery was successful, the skin flap healed really well and the prognosis is excellent. I was impressed with this clinic ( from the first day Dr Bray examined my dog until the day my dog went back home). I highly recommend Fitzpatrick referrals.

Disgusting treatment by the clinic in…

Disgusting treatment by the clinic in Surrey. Too busy trying to force people into surgery they don’t want and putting their ego’s above animal welfare. When they realized I wasn’t going to be forced by them they told lies about me to my family and tried to circumvent my wishes. When I complained they cancelled an emergency scan leaving my boy to suffer. Luckily I didn’t trust them and arranged a scan with a reputable clinic. They abused my trust. I’ve never seen such a farce in my life. I’ll never go near Fitzpatrick again. Totally let down. They are not what they make out to be. Too big for their boots.

The Best Care for Your Pet

We pushed our vets to refer us to the clinic as fast as they could as our little Lucy was in pain and they recommended an amputation. Lucy is a beautiful rescue from Romania and she got found with an old fracture of the femur which the vets in Romania tried to repair in surgery. The plate they put in broke and the leg was attached to nothing. Padraig Egan saw us at the consultation and gave us a list of options with clearly defined pros and cons. he talked to us in terms of risks and benefits, he estimated the likely success of each option, adapted his communication style to make sure we understood everything he examined to us. he followed up on everything just as he said he would. he performed what I cam only see as very complex surgery on our little Lucy and we just picked her up today. she is for the first time in what is estimated to be over a year (Lucy is 2) use her leg. not only the leg is healthy but she can actually use it. The joy we feel is second to none and it is only thanks to this incredible establishment filled with visionaries and professionals who have the best interest of the pet just where it needs to be: front and centre of their profession. An incredible clinic to which we owe gratitude and respect. Thank you so much

After months of tests coming to £6500

After months of tests coming to £6500. I was told my dog had myasthenia gravis , she could hardly walk and was very likely to die with this degenerating disease before 1 year old . I waited for months for the pills they were organizing, nothing came no contact so I worked on her myself as I did not believe their diagnosis and now she is 1 year old is now running and perfect. When I contacted them the hospital director said they did not say she has myasthenia gravis and the vet looking after her had left and no more notes for contact where there. Rubbish , I have emails and papers to show the diagnosis and that the vet was scouring pills for her. So hand on heart I believe they are there for the money and don't give a monkey for your pet .

Thank you.

Fitzpatricks Referrals was our last resort. We went knowing they couldn’t save our beautiful boy but hoped there would be something they could do. The outcome was our worst nightmare instead and we held our amazing boy when he passed away. The process was utterly distressing and I was beside myself with grief. Nick and the team showed such kindness and honesty, that despite the fact there was nothing they could do other than help us let him be at peace, I cannot fault them. From the comforting hand on my shoulder, the kind words in my native language said by one of the assistants and the hug the receptionist gave me at the end with the words “you have done absolutely everything for him”.
I can’t get my Jack back, I would give my right arm if I could but I try take comfort from those final moments, surrounded by people who understood the kind of love and devotion my husband and I feel for our boy.
