FG Studios demonstrated a lack of respect for agreed confidentiality arrangements and contractual terms.
As a wedding and events planner working with high profile private clients, confidentiality and the management of event imagery are matters we take extremely seriously.
My company engaged FG Studios between 2017 and 2019. At the outset of that relationship, FG Studios signed a Non Disclosure Agreement and Social Media Policy, and acknowledged specific event terms requiring written permission before any imagery from our clients’ events could be published or shared.
Despite these agreements, FG Studios repeatedly shared and showcased imagery from private events without obtaining the required written approval. Whilst these may be described as private portfolios, they remained accessible to a wide audience and were not restricted solely to the parties involved.
Before posting this review, I made several attempts to resolve the matter directly with the company. Unfortunately, those efforts did not result in a constructive resolution. This was particularly disappointing given that we had previously enjoyed a positive working relationship.
For clarity, this review does not concern copyright ownership. It relates solely to the failure to respect agreed confidentiality obligations and image usage restrictions.
Having worked with numerous photographers over the years, FG Studios is the only photography company with whom we have experienced repeated issues regarding the use of client imagery.
Businesses and individuals who place a high value on privacy, discretion and adherence to agreed confidentiality terms should carefully consider these matters when selecting a photography provider.

We take confidentiality and client privacy extremely seriously. We did not sign any document prohibiting the use of our own work (of which we retain ownership) and we dispute the interpretation and scope of those agreements referenced above.
At no point have we published the names of your clients, identified any of your clients, published imagery of your clients or publicly stated that FG Studios worked for Niemierko. The images in question did not identify any private individual, event, or client relationship. At no point has any confidential information been published or disclosed publicly by FG Studios.
We are disappointed that, despite our previously positive working relationship, this matter could not be resolved. Nevertheless, we respectfully disagree with the characterisation of our conduct and remain proud of the professionalism and discretion with which we have always operated.
