Scam You Out Of Money
I bought a generator from them and had it them return it before it even arrived at my location and they charged me $800 for shipping it back and 25% restocking fee. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!!!!
Buyer Beware
I thought this company was a great to work with. The ordering of a generator was easy and it was shipped quickly. I took their advice and ordered a 14kw generac generator only to find out that I needed a 26kw generator. I returned the generator and I am in the process of replacing it. It’s been HELL trying to return it and no one responds to emails or calls. They have had the generator for 12 days and it’s not checked in. I can’t get anyone to give me an update on a refund. I won’t replace the generator for a larger one with this company. STAY AWAY!!!!

Very robust and powerful generator
Very robust and powerful generator. I run the WenGen dual fuel 7500 on 4- 100-pound propane tanks. By using propane, the engine runs cooler, the spark plug last indefinitely with less emissions. Slightly less power wattage running on propane as compared to gasoline, but in my opinion, propane is much safer. The generator Is relatively quiet for the power output. The outlets are weather protected with rubber boots that cover them.
The simplicity, overall build quality and price point made this the generator for my wife and I. The manual is an easy read and informative. The control panel on the generator informs the owner when oil changes, air filters and other service maintenance is required. No more guess work with this generator, which makes me feel that Westinghouse wants the gen set to last years into the future. Lots of features and function that work well and that are practical. Extremely easy assembly of the wheels and feet. I had the generator out of the box with axles, wheels, feet and battery hook up in 15 minutes.
I looked at every portable generator on the market and this was the one for me, Delivery was within a week after ordering, delivered curbside and used a two-wheeled hand truck to load it in my garage. Pleasant salespeople and customer support.

I am having solar installation from solar guy of Snohomish wa and mount solar of tacoma. I wanted to install back up batteries for the project but due to the cost of batteries I decided to get a back up generator instead. Very few generators can be used with solar and my master electrtion gave me a few options. I have always loved generac but always thought the price was too much money. Well this company proved me wrong on the price.
I bought the generac 6998 model. Love the propaine/ natural gas options. I am using propaine for my project. I am using a 30 lb propane tank for my install. I am not using a gen pad but it would have made the installing process so much easier. Reason I chose not to use a gen pad is due to the price of the gen pad. Love the easier access to battery and air filter. I am 54 year old woman and I find this generator very easy for the annual maintenance. Love the very detailed instructions for this generator. Fast response of the control panel during power outages. This generator is perfect size for my needs. I need the generator for over nights when my power goes out and no power from the solar power. My personal opinion is this a perfect size for my needs.
Bad Company

Charged Twice for the Same Generator Purchase
Be careful with this company. They charged me twice, three days apart for the same order for $5,041.36. They came up with some lame excuse that their system sometimes does this. Then after calling them it takes 7-10 for a refund to my credit card account. That is as lame as it gets!
They sent me a damaged pad
They sent me a damaged pad. I sent it back and tried to cancel the replacement pad and they stil charged me 100.00. I found the pad much cheaper at State Electric that actually had the anchor holes in it.
Left it out at the road
They dropped it off at the end of the driveway, rather than bringing it up to the house. How did they expect me to move a 455-pound generator???

Still waiting for an order to be delivered that I ordered on October 1st of 2023. They keep telling me I have to wait and there's nothing I can do about it even though it's shipped on October 4th. When I asked for a refund they said they would have to pay restocking fee for something I never received. They used to be good in the past but their customer service is horrible now

I recieved my generator model 100297 in a timely fashion. When I opened the box with a box cutter cutting down the corners all was fine. I tipped generator up to install wheels and stand low and behold the choke selector fell out of the generator, I live in Florida and it is hurricane season and needed this generator really bad. Electric Generators Direct has terrible customer service!!! They sent me two of the same items, cold air warmers, and one should have been an oil warmer. They wouldn't send me the right product, when asked to speak to manager, the lady who was speaking with me said the manager went into a meeting. I should have made my purchase locally. Beware, dont do business with these scammers.
Horrible customer service and poor…
Horrible customer service and poor communication. They broke the delivery up into separate shipping. Their shipping information was confusing. Delivered parts without signature to property where no one lives at and supposedly left it "curb side". No one is at the property so don't know if it was actually delivered. The idea of leaving a $6,000 generator on the side of the road at a vacant property does not sound smart to me. I would not deal with them again.
They absolutely screwed me over
They absolutely screwed me over. The generator I bought was supposed to be delivered 12/8. It was then moved to 12/9. It never showed up, but records showed it was at a carrier facility 20 miles away. It wasn’t delivered the next day. Or the next. Finally I called the morning of 12/12 telling them to please deliver by end of day 12/13 because I was going out of town on 12/14. They said they couldn’t, but would store it for me till I got back in town. The Electric Generators contacted me stating that it was being returned to them and would refund my money, but keep $600 for shipping charges. They claimed I refused the delivery. I highly advise never doing business with them.
Awful - do not buy from them
Awful! They offer "free shipping" and no where does it say they will leave it 300 FT away from the house at the bottom of a shared driveway. Apparently that's expected. DO NOT BUY from them. I would gladly return it and buy from a reputable place, but they will charge me to ship it back. Now I will need to hire someone to actually deliver it to my house and not block the shared driveway. ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE customer service. I wish I knew this up front. Never again, scammers!

When ordering especially during COVID 19, they clearly stated possible delay in shipping and normally showed being shipped in 5-7 days. I have always, so far received my orders in 2-3 days. I have even used their chat support and they were very helpful in answering all my questions. Even when not knowing answer right off, they always found answers for me. Much better luck than me dealing directly with manufacturers. I don’t understand why they receive such low ratings. PED Thank You! Keep up good work.

Up until this point you guys have come recommened and been good to work with.
However...
My order was lost weeks ago, and I had to follow up and call R & L to find out where it is, this is all weeks after ordering. After days of not finding it (lost on the dock I am told) you shipped me another generator.
Now today…
The delivery driver showed up (I stayed home from work to meet with the driver) and the unit is CRAZY damaged.
I called customer service, talked with a very nice lady Nicole and after a LONG hold time, she will ship another unit to me, and give me $50 off for “my trouble” (this is after I asked, what they will do as a result of this hassel). Really $50 bucks. Then she stated... BUT… “if another issue happens we will not be able to assist you any longer”. LIKE THIS HAS BEEN MY PROBLEM???
Sadly I canceled my order. How many more hours do you think I can spend on this?
Do you really intend not to do more for your customer that has spent hours and hours trying to find, and be available for this shipment? “$50 for my trouble.”
I am ordering a $7,000 generator, my time is very valuable and most people that can afford this "toy" aren't affected much by $50 bucks.
I even offered to accept the damaged unit and not have you ship it back, and ship me a new one... But I would want a discount.
Others need to know what a hassle this can be and my time is worth "$50 bucks to you guys" cause you can't get me the product I ordered?
