Very pleased Good price, prompt delivery, well packaged and just what I was looking for.

Dunelm a failure to collect a damaged parcel has injured a young child. Upon calling them, I was also racially insulted over the phone.

I ordered a dining table and chairs said will arrive on 19th aug so took holiday from work not heard anything keep having to ring then told chairs not available but can get table why would I without chairs waiting for a refund after several calls then get £2.70 still waiting absolutely awful service

Lowestoft shop has a great selection of items -some unseen elsewhere. Some snacks in cafe area with toilet. Have bough kitchen item, rug, blinds, picture of mock ferns for bathroom. Always look in when in area. Prices competitive. Staff pleasant. Had an issue with a refund for duplicate purchase as part of receipt missing but was resolved.

Went to the Bromborough store on Saturday, but there were no staff on the shop floor to cut the length of material we wanted, so had to leave and go elsewhere. There was only one person on the tills and several self service machines, so obviously they have cut down on staff everywhere. A sign of the times I suppose, but it makes shopping in actual shops a miserable experience.

Ordered a number of items from Dunelm for home delivery, which usually costs £3.95 but due to cost of order was free (luckily!). No problems with ordering. However, unbeknownst to me (and I presume most other people placing an order), the home delivery option does not in fact mean your order will be delivered to your home address. Astonishingly, if you happen to have ever used InPost (which I had, for totally unrelated business), and set a preference of a locker for deliveries via their service, Dunelm will not deliver to your home as they will use this unrelated information from another business to redirect your order to a locker. Not particularly helpful when you were expecting the items to be delivered to your doorstep. At no point was this information presented during the ordering process and the first I knew about it was a notification from InPost themselves.

I assumed there must have been a mistake, as I'd chosen home delivery on the Dunelm website. However, after waiting to get through to an actual human being on the live chat (the only option presented for issues), they informed me that this is the norm. When I pointed out that they should actually tell customers this, at the point of ordering, they didn't seem to think this was an issue at all.
I asked for the contact details for complaints, only to be told that they have no complaints department. I suppose that's one way of avoiding it! The "customer service" agent couldn't seem to grasp the idea that when customers have ordered from their company, it should be their responsibility to inform customers that home delivery isn't actually what you'll get. Their only response was that you have to change your preferences for InPost PRIOR to placing an order. Of course, if we knew this information beforehand, that might help!
They seem to have no understanding that customers may need items delivered to their door for various reasons and they clearly also think we all have crystal balls so that we know these things in advance.
Avoid, if you actually want things to turn up.

The staff, both in the store and at home were helpful and very pleasant to deal with.

I didn't have the best experience initially with Dunelm, the sofa which I wanted was out of stock and when i enquired about when more stock would be available, I was told that it was manufacturer's decision not to restock (which I could understand), but then to receive an email days after the delivery sofa which i didn't want advising that my preferred sofa was back in stock was highly frustrating.

I contacted Dunelm and was promptly offered a goodwill voucher. Following some miscommunication regarding collection of my original sofa and a failed collection, I finally got the sofa i wanted with a full refund and another goodwill voucher, which has made my experience a whole lot better 😀. Thank you Dunelm
