Douglas park Hamilton
Douglas park Hamilton
Here we go arranged with salesman Ross to get a BMW 3 series from Stirling to Hamilton as my wife was in a serious car crash last Sunday which her own bmw was written off, well lasts start remember my wife is on crutches and finds it difficult to walk, we were told to be in Hamilton branch for 11- 11.30 do we did Ross appeared fixing his clothes trying to get his tie on, stating I didn’t gave time to get the car for you I will try and get it for Monday, maybe his phone wasn’t working yesterday remember I did offer to come in later on Sunday when phoning on Saturday but was told he was to busy in the afternoon, anyway he did offer to show us a car they have in stock at Hamilton he stated it’s red and more expensive why the hell would you buy a car that you haven’t seen, but we will show you another and you can buy the one you haven’t seen what kind of staff are Douglas park employing, I don’t expect an answer from Douglas Park as we are on a budget and not spending 20 or 30 thousand.
DP BMW Stirling - be careful!!
Purchased car from Douglas Park Stirling on 21/01/2024, was mis-sold car as 'perfect condition minus the odd tiny stone chip' from the salesman at the time Briann Quin who coincedentally had left the business when I called and complained. Collection day, the car was outside in horrendous rain (which I now believe was purposely done) so all blemishes, chips (deep big chips not 'tiny' ones) and damage were well hidden but from glancing over everything looked OK. However, when I come to clean the car 10 or so days after purchase all was exposed. Long story short DP Stirling were not willing to help at all. After weeks and weeks of complaints and ringing Parks UK, they had the audacity to offer to buy the car back off me for £5000 less than I paid!!! In the end I managed to get £200 out of them towards a front bumper respray however, every single panel has some sort of damage that has been poorly SMART repaired and will require a re-spray if I want it sorted. Even the rear window sealant has significant damage that needs changed. Be careful! I thought I was in good trustworthy hands buying from a mainline BMW dealership but I could not of had a worse experience. Expensive lesson learnt! Stick to your well known approved specialist dealers.
Great service again from Douglas Park Pinkston Road
Yet again great service from Douglas Park Pinkston Road Glasgow.
I had reported steering and seat vibration at certain speeds in my 5 series touring. Most likely caused by the condition of our terrible roads however I wasn't sure and wanted it confirmed by the main BMW dealer.
When the report came back I had two bulges in my front passenger tire I wasn't really surprised.
I fully expected the investigative work wouldn't be covered under warranty and that I'd be paying for labour and potential repairs.
So imagine my utter surprise when I was told there would be no charge. I didn't ask for a freebie It was volunteered. I don't work for Doulgas Park either.
Thank you to Blair and Jack for their assistance over the last day or so and keeping me informed of the progress.
Whilst I still need a new tire this has reduced what would've been a very expensive weekend to just slightly expensive.
I'd also like to add this isn't the first time Douglas Park has helped out with costs for one of my cars. So thanks again. I'll continue to use and recommend you for all things BMW.
Stirling dealership
Looking for a new car either an X5 or GLE - from merc.
Dropped by Stirling Douglas Park dealership and asked if I could have an X5 opened up to look around as there were none in the showroom - "Of course!" from reception.
30 minutes later I gave up and left having stood around.
tried a different approach - Booked a test drive of the X5 - arrived 15 minutes early , advised reception and waited 25 minutes , nothing from none of the staff - left again.
I think its much better to see a dealership in action when looking for business to have a feel for how they will behave on after sales etc.
Douglas Park isnt it.
Tomas McIntyre and Clare Deans … Outstanding service…
Tomas McIntyre and Claire Deans we’re outstanding, the deal, the car, the service, untouchable, I’m so happy with my new car, Tomas and and I got talking, he used to work for Audi, their loss, Claire overseen my deal, which to be fair was a challenge once I explained my expectations, smashed it out the park, I will not go anywhere else in future before giving Douglas Park BMW the opportunity to build me a deal. I really am so delighted with my new BMW, thanks Clare and Tomas.
Damaged brand new X5....
Bought a brand new X5 from Douglas Park and when we picked it up realised the door had been smacked against a wall and paintwork was damaged. We were told that they would fix two weeks later. After completion I took the car to be ceramic coated and the detailer asked me to come look at the car as he could tell it had been painted but was obviously brand new. He showed me the overspray down the middle of the bonnet and rear quarter where they hadn't even covered the whole car! Then he pulled the door badge off as it wasn't even new and they had reused the old one! After phoning and been put on hold for most of the afternoon I gave in. Wouldn't pay for the problems to be rectified.... won't use them again. It was a brand new car..... tainted from the beginning.
Great Service from Will/Tony
Only went in for coolant. Will took time out to explain a few concerns I had. I was impressed with his knowledge and willingness to explain matters clearly.
Tony in parts was also very helpful. Great customer service.
thanks to Norman and team at…dp hillington

Douglas Park Glasgow
I want to give my experience of dealing with Douglas Park Glasgow.
I bought an X3 BMW on 15th September 23.
I received a text to come for an end of warranty check, I then received a phone call the afternoon the car went in from one of the members of staff, Dave to tell me that I needed a part for the blue kit on the car also told me that 2 of my tyres were at 4m and the other 2 were at 3m, I told him I had hardly used the car as had recently had an operation (couldn’t drive) so my mileage was very low as I am retired. He then told me the company policy was 3m and below for the tyres to be renewed. He has also told me when I go back on 28th November that he would speak to me about this, I also told him I had taken the car to Halfords to check my tyres and the man in Halfords told me my tyres would last around 2-3 months max at a stretch. I am not looking for 4 tyres I am looking for 2 as I would not have purchased the car at £37.5k if I had been told the reading on my tyres at the time of purchase was so low. I would have asked them to either fit new tyres or drop the price. I am quite happy with the car but am very disappointed with the after sales service received.
When I went to the car sales office I asked to speak to Craig Forsyth the salesman who sold me the car who was not in at that time so I spoke to another salesman called Roddy who went to his manager and was sitting around 20 feet from me, after hearing my complaint the manger didn’t even have the decency to come and speak to me however was quick enough when I bought the car.
The salesman Roddy then produced a tyre gauge he then proceeded to the centre of the four tyres and measured, he then showed me they all came to 4m. I then asked him why are you not measuring the inner and outer he said they don’t measure this way.
I went back just a few days ago as requested by the store to speak to another person, Mark who was a service manager and after making me wait since 15th nov to 28th he gave me no other explanation or reason why someone would tell me the tyres were ok.
I’m disappointed after spending this amount of money on a car to be treated this way and expected to spend even more money on new tyres.
Crooks
Must be one of the last crooked dealerships (Douglas Park in general) because we’ve never had issues anywhere else. Bought a car from the Hamilton branch, low mileage and fairly new. Not long after, the front break pads failed and we had to pay to replace them. When we challenged why, having only just bought the car we had to do fairly major work, they said they sold the car to us in perfect condition and it’s not up to them to comment on our driving - basically accusing us of not being able to drive! The car is used mainly to go to the supermarket and we have always had cars for a long time without any issues. They dismissed us so we complained to BMW. After promises from DP Stirling to investigate nothing happened- another broken promise. Now 3 weeks after getting the car back from them, the back break pads are failing so it turns out not only did they sell us a faulty car, they failed to do the proper checks and identify that they needed to do the back set also. We will now be raising an executive complaint with bmw and Douglas Park. Reading through the reviews it’s a common complaint. Use Newbridge BMW who are exceptional.
Not a pleasant experience at DOUGLAS…
Not a pleasant experience at DOUGLAS PARK BMW STIRLING,if I could give it a minus rating I would.
Stay clear of Douglas Park BMW…
Stay clear of Douglas Park BMW Hamilton. Staff are clueless and extremely rude. Booked my car in for a recall due to the EGR being faulty and leaking fumes inside the car. The clueless rep who took the call, stated I wasn’t entitled to a free uplift due to my car being out of warranty, I explained it was a recall and fumes were inside the car and I would be entitled due to this been BMW fault. He became extremely arrogant and said the appointment would be on the 7th of November and they weren’t going to change it. Called BMW customer service who were shocked that someone representing BMW would give this information out to a customer.
Customer service got my car uplifted on the Saturday and dropped it off at this Douglas Park Hamilton. Was told by BMW CS my car would be a priority and the car would be ready in 72 hrs. After 5 phone called and no one calling me back I managed to speak to the same cluesless rep at Douglas park who advices me my car wasn’t a priority and they will probably have it for 7 days or more. I asked about a courtesy car and he stated no I wasn’t entitled to one and there was nothing they can do and they wouldn’t be looking over my car anytime soon. A huge complaint has been logged to BMW. Called Douglas park and told them I was coming to collect my car and go to another garage. Went to collect car and the staff within the showroom were so rude and told me to sit and wait till someone got my key. Another clueless rep returned with my key and when walking to my car he stated my driver car window had been damaged and blamed road side assistance. He stated this was on Saturday this happened. He state they have placed a sheet over the window since Saturday. No word of the window been damaged on Saturday or today when I called first thing at 9am. So basically my drivers side window is completely damaged and won’t come up. Car seat was soaking. I am utterly shocked of how bad the customer service was. That will be another complaint to BMW about this dive or a garage. Douglas Park maybe you should train staff on what customer service is. Personally I feel Douglas Park caused the damaged and was due to the dispute I’ve had with them. Handed the key and walked away.
Horrible staff at reception
Today, l was in BMW Park's, Bothwell Road, at no point was l offered any hospitality so waited outside as my car got serviced, when the car is almost ready, l get asked to take a seat then nothing, a chap walks in with a suit, he gets told to take a seat right next to me, and reception nearly breaking their backs to offer drinks, snacks to the fella etc, me ??? Absolutely nothing, it really depends how you are dressed the way they treat you
Disgusting company, l even thought that also when l used to work for them driving the buses, just glad after today l will never go back to BMW
Good riddance Dougie
Poor Service
I gave staff at Robert Park BMW Stirling a call regarding the paint code for my BMW Z4. I gave my registration number and repeated it over the phone in (Nato Phonetic order). I then gave the paint code they gave me to a paint shop to purchase a touch up. It was brought to my attention that this paint code was incorrect. I contacted Douglas Park complaining that the code they gave me was incorrect. They told me that I gave them a different registration number. The seller at the paint shop confirmed the reg details I gave them was correct and that Douglas Park had made a mistake. Douglas Park would not correct their mistake; result being that I have to buy a new touch up. I received a very poor service from Douglas Park and will not deal with them again
Bought a 2nd hand X2 for over £24,000…
Bought a 2nd hand X2 for over £24,000 foolishly thinking i would get top service from a BMW dealer, supposed to be fully serviced and only done 25,000 miles, after 500 miles it needed rear brake discs and pads the workshop said they were fine with 1.5mm wear left in pads, rear tail light lets in water, DPF Particulate Sensor faulty, checked the oil filter and it had almost collapsed so clearly no oil change. air filter blocked with dirt, cabin filters covered in mold, i could have taken it back for them do repair but if they cant do it right the first time then why would i, car was cleaned well and the cleaner masked the mould smell from the cabin filters, very disappointed, this is clearly a workshop issue, but reflects badly not Just on Parks but BMW in general. the car was overpriced for the year but i expected BMW level service, i would have been better buying private for a lot less
Very disappointed at BMW’s approach to…
Very disappointed at BMW’s approach to the issue I’ve raised. The engine management light appeared and after taking it to my local mechanic, I’ve been advised it’s a Particulate Matter sensor which should last at least 10 years before needing replaced(my car is 4 years old). My local mechanic has also showed me online that BMW’s in America have been recalled for this fault. I’ve asked if BMW Hamilton can take a look to confirm and been advised they can however, it’ll cost me £150 to run the diagnostic. I expected at the very least they could take a look free of charge given the sensor is needing replaced 6 years earlier than they advise.
Was a loyal customer of some years
Was a loyal customer of some years. Took my 4 series, which I had bought from them, in to Douglas Park BMW Hamilton, after it developed a parking sensor fault. Presumed it was covered by warranty. Was told warranty did not cover it because of water ingress, ( in a part that sits behind the front bumper and is exposed to water.) Should BMWs only be driven in dry conditions?? I was told I would have to pay £850 to have it repaired. (Incidentally, I got it repaired at my local independent BMW specialist for £300). Girl at service department was very unhelpful and even obstructive. I wrote two letters to the manager to complain, both were completely ignored. I complained to BMW Customer Service. Worse than useless. ( I have now discovered my 4 phone calls to BMW Customer Services cost me £65. There is no warning that it is a premium rate number)
STEER CLEAR OF DOUGLAS PARK BMW. THEY ARE ONLY INTERESTED IN SCREWING MONEY OUT OF YOU. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER
Fantastic service
Fantastic service, Karen at service reception was very helpful and listened to our needs and concerns. She was proactive and devised a plan with workshop manger.
BEWARE !
BEWARE !
Took my car in as received a recall letter and they absolutely ruined my car. car was returned with several scratches and the dealer made an excuse that it's sunny outside and these are surface scratches, even though these are not surface scratches but proper scratches caused at there garage. also there washing was so bad that it was still covered in washing liquid running down the windows. It clearly shows that they do not take care of your car so do not trust them. Have evidence in pictures to prove this.
Where to start
Where to start. Purchased my mini countryman last August. It’s been in the garage 7 weeks in total. New steering rack, new suspension, new wheel, new gearbox.
I got a follow up email asking if I was satisfied, I replied I was not, they didn’t follow up, its all box ticking exercises for them, nothing more. They do not care about you as a customer.
I am going to get rid of my car within a year of purchase as worried what other faults will be thrown up.
Mini - don't care.
The customer service ranges from non existent to ‘don’t care you’ve bought the car live with it.’
This car was a used car and under manufacturers warranty. I should have made more of the fact that when I picked the car up it was missing a boot sill and base and also had no mats in it, just the attachments for mats. You pay £24k for your mini and they can’t be arsed to put mats in it.
The tyres went from new when purchased to bald in 5 months- 5000 miles. Mini said it was my driving style. Im a 55 year old woman who visits the shop in my car. Hahaha.
The things the guys in the workshop think they can get away with saying is astounding in this day and age. I will never ever buy again from Douglas Park - BMW, Douglas Park mini or Arnold Clark.
Every time I called in with a new fault, I was told there’s a 6 week wait to be seen, call out mini breakdown. Mini breakdown are not mini/bmw. They are random companies who send guys with flat back lorries to takeaway your car or in one case argue that the engine warning light was not a big deal and to carry on driving with it. This particular guy arrived at 5.55pm and told me he was 5 mins to clocking off, the last thing he wanted to do was tow my car to the only garage which was open 15 miles away. He did but only after I refused to take his advice of driving my car.
My car is an automatic - everytime they gave me a courtesy car which was part of my agreement it arrived sometimes 4 days late ( I live in a village and need to commute) when the courtesy / replacement arrived it was a manual. There is too much detail to write a longer review but, how any company is operating with this level of disregard for its customer in these times is astounding. Just don't go there. They are atrocious. Mini you seriously need to look into this companies contract with you.
