We use APC Express 24 hour for all shipments. Standard UK Mainland delivery typically takes 5–7 working days for in-stock items, with next day delivery available once dispatched. Scottish Highlands, Islands, and Isle of Man: 2–4 working days after dispatch.

Good Morning,
I am so sorry to read that you were unhappy with your delivery from ourselves via APC. I hope I may be able to provide some clarity here on the nature of your delay and perhaps in turn, you would reconsider your review as I feel it does not accurately portray our service.
We dispatched your items for you on the 1st June 2026, 1st working day after your purchase (which was on a 3-5 working day service.) The courier APC, then planned to deliver on the 2nd June, however this was not possible as your address was not complete with a house name in your delivery information provided.
We contacted you via email to confirm your address as soon as the courier had made us aware of this issue, on the 3rd June so that we could get this out to you promptly. On the 4th June, you contacted our customer services team via telephone, and they added the additional house name needed for delivery. I can then see that the parcel was successfully delivered on the 5th June 2026, which was the 5th working day of your order.
Once again, I hope you would reconsider your review as they are very damaging to our family run business, and in this instance I can see that we have both fulfilled your delivery timeframe and provided support in a timely manner to make sure that your delivery could go ahead.

A disappointing end product
Initially, I phoned Diss Ironworks to buy some vouchers as a wedding present. I was told I had to do it online. I found the process quite difficult, and the end product ( an email from D.I.) both impersonal and disappointing. The so-called gift card was just a formal receipt which I had to print out : a very disappointing wedding gift.

Great service from Diss
Ordered a range cooker from Diss - changed my mind on model and was able to easily change it with them and they matched a slightly cheaper price from another supplier. Arrived on time as agreed. Great communication by Diss and their delivery team- great installation experience and the team were very thorough in showing us around the new cooker. Very happy.

5-7 working days for delivery turned…
5-7 working days for delivery turned into 8 working days. When it was the final delivery day we were told 1 hr and 5 mins before it was delivered. We were already out when notification received. Delivery taken away and now being delivered on Friday.
Haven’t received goods yet so cannot comment further

My apologies that it has taken so long for me to come back to you and your review. I wanted to make sure that I had all the facts of your specific delivery so that I could hopefully provide some clarity to the situation.
Firstly, may I just apologise that you were not satisfied with your delivery lead-time, we try to offer the best service that we can, but I can see on this instance we have fallen below our standards for speed of delivery.
After placing your order with us on the 15th May (Friday), we I can see that we packed your item on Thursday 21st, in order to get it to you on the 5th working day. However I can see unfortunately there was a failed collection from our warehouse on Friday 22nd and then when it went out for delivery on the 26th (as unfortunately the Monday 25th was a bank holiday) you were not able to be home, thus pushing back the delivery to your chosen date of the 29th.
I sincerely apologise that there has been this delay to your order, and that we were not able to fulfil our delivery window due to a number of events. Myself and the warehouse team have discussed what went wrong here and we are looking at how we can avoid this delay occurring in the future.

Good Afternoon. Thank you for your feedback, and I am very sorry to hear that you were disappointed with our delivery timings.
As per our delivery information which you have quoted above, you chose an option for 3-5 working days delivery, which I hope to clarify with you, we did deliver within. You placed your order on the 5th May 2026 at 9:47pm and we made sure it was delivered for you on the following Tuesday (13th). This means our leadtime for this particular order was 5 working days.
Although we were within our promised time, I do understand the frustration that it was at the end of this period, and I apologise for any disappointment.
I hope this provides some clarity to your delivery, and you might reconsider this review.

Where is my delivery…?
I was told in a note from the delivery co (APC) that the parcel would arrive on Wednesday 6th.
Then I received a note saying that it had been delayed.
I have since then heard not a word from APC but their website said it was at that their depot at 08.00 on Thursday 7th and would be delivered on Thursday.
It wasn't.
I phoned APC on Friday 8th. Despite four events I found either a person who told me I was talking to the wrong department or, if I tried the retirement, no one would answer the call. A complete inability to find anyone to talk to about the situation.
I can find no number to ring Diss IRonworks on their site.
Then you send me a request for a review!!

Apologies that it has taken me until now to get back to you. We have been trying to get in contact with both you and your partner via telephone and email before replying to your review, to clear up any confusion that there may be surrounding your order. I hope the following response may provide some clarity for you.
I am very sorry to hear about the delays with your order, and I understand your frustrations regarding the delay to your delivery. Unfortunately due to unforeseen circumstances APC were unable to deliver your parcel until a few days after your estimated delivery date.
You contacted us via telephone on the Saturday (9th) of the week you refer to, where this delay was first brought to our attention and we chased APC immediately for you, attempting to get an answer from your local depot. After we spoke on the phone we were notified that day that the parcel had been delivered to you at 4:00pm.
At 4:35pm on Saturday (9th), your partner got in contact with us via email and confirmed that the parcel had arrived safely and "all is well and we are pleased with the products". We had closed by this point however I picked this up when we reopened on Tuesday and we happy to close the case for you.
Trustpilot notified us of your 1-star review roughly an hour after your partner had emailed in and confirmed all was well. We have been trying to get in contact with you since, to confirm that you are satisfied with your products, and that the information you provided to us in email are correct and you do not require any further help.
I hope that this provides some further clarity to the situation, and you might consider amending or taking down this review as we believe it is not an accurate representation of the situation, as I have just outlined.
