Experian is the worst of the worst, they are stealing money off people without them realising even when you cancel your membership/subscription they carry out taking money out of your account. I have tried to cancel the direct debit on my bank account but my bank is telling me there is no direct debit setup and it was cancelled. This still does not stop Experian, they are still managing to take a payment without any authority from myself.

I have created a customer care case and I am still getting nowhere with recieving all my money back since I have cancelled my membership this has been happening for such a long period of time, yet there is no urgency shown from Experian to contact me with a resolution but they would rather not contact me at all and keep me waiting for a response.

Experian is a company that is meant to help consumers get there credit in check and advise on how to boost it and maintain a good credit score, after this experience I believe they can now never be trusted with anything.

Beware people, all of the major banks use this useless shower. Avoid. I am now changing banks, as this lot have made my life hell. PS my rating with three other companies is excellent. Also why cant we give a zero ?????.

Awful company. They advertise a free credit score but you can't get it unless you pay the fee. You can't contact them on the phone number unless you have an account with them and pay the fee. You end up in telephone loop hell. They don't respond to messages. Don't use them ! If I could give them a minus star I would

Complete waste of money, may as well use the free service as their reports are way out of date and customer service abysmal. I reported my accounts were way out of date (some 8 weeks behind) after making full payment on all of my credit cards, no update of accounts or response from their customer service.

Absolutely unreal it has taken me 9 months to cancel my account , I have three emails confirmation confirming it’s been done starting from August saying its been cancelled but they have still taken the money out my account and sent me over drawn ! Please don’t bother with this company claims it’s their to help you improve your credit rating but put you in a worse position. Would have given NO stars if it was a option.

My husband put his name down as a guarantor for my daughter to rent a house.
After one week all was looking good, he passed all Checks apart from one.
They do not class living in one place for 13 years a permanent address, and trying to sort this out has been a nightmare
My daughter is now, because off Experian, on the brink off losing her house to rent, just wondering how long do you have to be at an address for, before Experia n Noah classes that address as permanent, the estate agents that use this credit agency are reeds rains, so beware all potential residents who are looking to rent from this agency.

Absolutely terrible! Looked on my credit score today and I’m apparently 1 out of 900 LOL! Definitely not otherwise I’d be having some serious issues, all a load of crap! Emailed them telling them that have got my credit score wrong and I get a silly email back saying that they won’t be able too reply within 3-5 days! Then tried calling and the customer service was shocking, was greeted by a miserable sounding man and he gave me no help what so ever and told me if my score is that then it is! I don’t think so mate. Do not use

So i had a check that came up completely wrong. Must have wires crossed with names. Almost lost me a job. Awful. 0 stars if i could. Not sure what they do with your information if they get it wrong. Whats the point.

Worse company i have ever come across, For last three year i have paid for the subscription. In return it FAILED to send any alters when i got CCJ and my credit rating was down . Luckly , i have checked my credit report and managed to remove CCJ.
Complaint team is so unprofessional that they were not bothered to admit their mistake and apologise.

I request all not to use there services.

Clear score is much better as it provides you timely alters and on top of that its complete free.

Without doubt the worst service and software I have ever used.

Despite entering the correct log in details required to access my credit status over a dozen times and in a number of different ways, with multiple ID forms, as suggested by Experian's representative, access to my data was denied.

After a 45 mins and 45 seconds inane call coupled with a very frustrating period on their hopeless web platform, Experian succeeded in suspending my account twice, failed to offer any helpful advice or initiative in order to address their system failings. Further more they sent a new password to an old company address giving unknown persons access to my person financial details, which I expressly told them not to do.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY IF YOU VALUE YOUR DATA!

I would give zero stars, if this was an option. Truly horrific service for a paying customer!

I have been a victim of numerous mistaken traces and linked to incorrect addresses multiple times. Despite the debt agency confirming it was a mistaken trace, Experian still refuse to update the file.
The pain and distress of getting this resolved has been ridiculous. This issue is still ongoing and has been for over a year.

I am now seeking legal action.

Their complaints team are a complete shambles. They do not get back to you and offer zero support.

Have received far better service from Equifax & Call Credit.

Terrible customer service and system
It took 2 weeks to respond to my initial issue and their response was to ask for security information (over email). It has since been over a week since my response. Absolutely useless.
My original issue should've been able to be fixed by myself anyway, but their system is so poor that I have to go through their customer service.
If it weren't a free membership, I'd be asking for a refund.

Dreadful.
So frustrating to deal with - systems are really poor, and emails remain unanswered. I keep giving them the benefit of the doubt (I’ve been a member for 10 years), but I’ve had enough. Try Equifax, they seem to be much better (I’ve had both in parallel for most of his year).
As an example:
Lost bank card, received replacement
Credit Expert email me to say payment not received
Credit Expert won’t let me login to change payment method or cancel my membership
Email Credit Expert - no response
Email Credit Expert to cancel - no response
Try changing password to allow access - can’t get in
Call Credit Expert - closed - please call when you’re working

I'm a paying guest on this site and have found them to be very helpful at the customer service telephone end (but can be expensive) and the credit score reasons given were clear on the site, which works fine although sometimes to get in you need to clear your browser cache. All black marks against me are errors solved by an ombudsman or a rescinding court order. I was told about the Notice of Correction by email & have just emailed this back, so don't know yet how fast Experian is in applying it. But AT LEAST TWO THINGS NEED A CHANGE FROM THE POLITICIANS or FSA (1) the 'ownership' of information issue (why should a large company get the right to post a debt which has fearful consequences, but the consumer not have the right to humiliate financially a faulty company with a loan refusal?) (2) the credit rating scale going down if companies, whatever, make credit checks? I spent a morning watching my credit score reduce as I applied for a credit card with 00 transfer be refused several times, like a set of falling dominoes, the initial problem resulting from the eventual ombudsman solved issue (in my favour). I didn't realise about soft or hard credit checks having an impact. This is daft: you don't get penalised for trying out clothes or browsing in a shop, and these are called 'financial products'. Credit checks for whatever reason should not be subject to City type jitters. But is Experian at fault here? Is it the one applying the reduction or is this a daft rule from the FSA which Experian are applying? But tell you one thing, Noddle and CallCredit's sites are lousy in comparison.

My mother has had a CCJ put on her name in error, it was her ex husband my father now we know he has financial problems and is heartbroken his family now know about his financial matters. Not only that now his son offering financial support after my mother finding out being embarressed in the middle of Halifax that she has been turned down and escorted out the room. She is registered disabled with fibroinmyagia now has no credit file and has suffered servers financial loss and the company has never apologised when emailed about the case or even taken any notice we have paid to use there service even though they has ruin my family KEEP away from this they will ruin you and your family relationship and effect your ability to obtain lending for needed reasons.

Unreliable service. Technical issue ongoing from over a week ago. Advisor issued a 'statutory report' to me, to come 'signed for' in post for 2 days later..... almost one week and still nothing. Still unable to gain access to a full £14.99 per month service online. Not a happy customer who requires this for mortgage purposes. Disappointing, Experian!

This mob of shyters have an effective monopoly on the way that credits scores are reported in the UK. They know it, and know that their captive audience has no choice but to deal with them. If I could rate 0 stars, I would. 8 weeks to solve a problem that I was able to find out the answers to in 10 minutes. Inept and incompetent, one hand does not know what the other is doing.

Took money from my card even though I was on the free trial and are now ignoring my emails and the only way to call is a premium rate number! Terrible company , bunch of thieves. Avoid at all costs.

I signed up to these guys on 5th July for a 30 day free trial. On 6th July they took 14.99 from my card. They haven’t responded to emails and I’m not calling their premium rate number. To top it off once I’d signed up and got one look at my credit report, tried to login again the next day and was unable to. The site keeps redirecting constantly and not coming up with anything. I’ve tried this on various browsers. Absolutely hopeless. I have come to the realisation that I won’t get my 14.99 back but I have cancelled the card I used so they won’t get any more of my money. I would suggest anyone wanting to see their report go elsewhere. There are better sites to use.

So appearntly Carphone warehouse use them and they gave me poor rating he'll knows on what basies. They take your bank details and then try to take money outta your account. BEAWARE they are screamer.
