Bought a vaccum cleaner, it was too noisy, not working as expected , faulty. wanted to return. Put the packaging back as it was still new. Still in very good condition. They told they would deduct 50% even without checking the product.

I purchased a new TV from the Co-operative Electrical Shop in 2015 and was overall quite happy with the experience. The Co-op were offering a good deal and chucked in a free soundbar with the TV, which was well-received. Unfortunately the courier used by the company was not up-to-standard, like many delivery firms, put a bad touch on an otherwise good service. I contacted the Co-op about this issue but they didn't deal with it well and after repeated attempts to follow it up the issue had not been resolved at all.

They electrical shop strikes me as similar to the Co-operative Bank; a good experience until something goes wrong, at which point they prove themselves to be somewhat inept.

Can't believe that a company can send out such rubbish. Didn't even clean the freezer compartment, which had lots of bits in the bottom and generally needed a good clean. Scratches along the bottom of fridge door, deep black chip out of the freezer part. No instructions on door reversal and looked like you had to drill holes.

Sent fridge freezer back and paid more a different model. It appeared to work with the fan coming on and the light, but it ruined all the freezer stuff overnight - the freezer didn't get cold at all and everything melted plus stuff in the fridge went off.

The co op promised compensation for food after I sent in photos but I am yet to see this. It was supposed to be in my account earlier this week. Still waiting for a refund on the fridge freezer. The co op is in no hurry to refund you or care about your plight. The company is very poorly run and obviously has issues with looking for after its customers and getting out working products.

I get the impression that no one at co op electrical really knows what is going on and their products obviously have issues.

I have paid a bit more and gone to a more reputable appliance retailer and finally have a working fridge freezer again.

Bought Zanussi fridge freezer from them less than 2 years ago for my elderly mother. The item broke down and was out of warranty although, by law, they must assist with repairs. I was unable to get anyone local to come out and provide estimate and asked the Coop for help in sourcing an engineer (I was willing to pay). Meanwhile my housebound mother had no fresh food or milk. Their attitude was basically tough. I told them I would have to buy another fridge freezer if I could not get this one fixed, again, no help. Shocking treatment. I asked for nothing more than help finding an engineer. Ended up paying more than £300 to get a new product (NOT from the coop). Considering small claims action.

I purchased a tumble dryer, payment was taken, delivery fairly quick arrived on the Saturday. Instructions inside machine were wet, but Connected it up it immediately made a load notice from the drum. Telephoned coop helpline they apologised, was told several days to collect & replace machine, asked if this could be done on Monday. Was told if I'd phoned 1hr earlier this would have been possible, but the machine had even been deliver at that point. Asked to have machine uplifted & a complete refund. This was granted told my money would be refunded on return off the machine, which was fine. Still waiting 10days after the machine was received by coop in their warehouse. Spoke to customer service twice informed my PayPal account will be credited, but no sign of my refund. Would not purchase from coop again. Tesco were quicker & product works

I ordered a TV, but they had some problem whit they bank security system. So the money is gone through but they not send my TV, and they not send back my money either. Customer services were extremely unhelpful and unsympathetic! I will not be using the Coop again any time soon!
They stole my money

Ordered a built under oven based on good price, customer service shocking. I had to make several calls, as no one had the courtesy to call me. delivery finally arrived nearly 5 weeks after order. should have read previous reviews before ordering from them . next time I will order from john lewis where good customer service is essential. co-op electricals never again.

Ordered a new washing machine with the disconnection and installation service. Price was cheaper than other online shops and the website was easy to use to order the appliance.

No extra charge for a Saturday delivery. Emailed and text the night before giving an hours slot.

Two delivery chaps arrived on schedule (7:45am). Removed the old appliance and took it outside to store in the garage for me. There was an issue with the pipe work to plumb in the new appliance where I wanted it. The installation guys were happy to help solve the problem and helped me remove part of the cupboard to install the new machine. (Kitchen cupboard was due out in a weeks time anyway so saved me a job!!). Went the extra mile with smiles on their faces, makes a change to my previous experiences with other delivery companies!!

Professional, helpful, quick and reliable service. Job complete by 8am on a Saturday despite the cupboard problem!

This is my second white electrical purchase from the Co-Op. The first one was exemplary but this second one has been appalling. The delivery men said they weren't insured to fit the dishwasher despite the fact that my wife directed him to the water shut off valve and had paid for installation. The broken dishwasher was left in situ and the new one left in the middle of the dining room. I think with any situation like this it is down to the individual person but the Co-Op need to get a handle on training as this as a good product, delivered on time but our experience has been marred by this poor service compounded by a wholly ineffective response from the Co-Op customer service team.

I don't normally leave feedback, but I've made an exception in this case as I was amazed at how good their service was. Firstly the price was very competative and then with a discount code, that worked alongside Quidco, made it the cheapest option by some margin. I ordered my product before lunch on Friday and was given a delivery option of Saturday morning which was confirmed Friday evening with an hour time window. On Saturday morning the delivery driver contacted me an hour before delivery to confirm details and let me know of his arrival. The driver was fantastic, he delivered my product to the exact room I required and helped me unpack it.

I was, and still am, super impressed with the entire service and would definitely recommend and use Co-operative Electrical again. Thank you.

Ordered a cooker on Sunday, for Tuesday delivery. Arrived on time the delivery driver even rang us to make sure we were home. The price we paid was atleast 100 pounds cheaper than else where would definitely recommend

Bought a washer from them due to them having a much lower price than anyone else.

Item was delivered for free on a Sunday and I was given an hour slot the day before. During that slot I was then called to say they'd be arriving in about 15 minutes.

Up to this point I thought the service was great but a lazy delivery driver let them down. Despite me ticking the "more than 5 steps to property" the guy didn't even let me finish saying where I wanted it before he started to repeating "health and safety". After a brief "discussion" they did help carry it up my modern, wide, well maintained outside steps with me going backwards and the two of them sharing the bottom side.

The second driver looked a bit embarrassed as they told me that they had had to carry lots of things that day - who would have thought that a job delivering white goods would involve a bit of lifting and carrying?

no contact no refund ... had to open case on ebay ...

That'll teach me not to buy from John Lewis. I was swayed by the price for a Beko fridge/freezer on Co-op Elextrical's Ebay page. After unwrapping the item, I realised there was a hole in the coolant pipe at the rear and the packaging was soaked in coolant - poor handling by the courier? Having phoned and emailed and sent messages through Ebay, I've not had a single call back. This has left me stressed, upset and angry. I want my money back and I want this broken fridge collected from me as soon as possible. I've had to open an Ebay dispute, because I'm getting nowhere with the Co-op. Customer service is total rubbish. I will never ever order from them again.

Laptop purchased and when switched on and tried it, it didn't perform as expected. Running slow. Returned the item at my own expense only to receive a 50% refund because coop state it is now a used item. Will never buy from them again & will advise anyone else to avoid.

The machine failed after a few weeks.
I phoned the Co Op on Friday 4th September 9.30am.
With absolutely no fuss, a replacement machine has been scheduled to be delivered on Saturday 5th September (with a one hour delivery slot)

I was rather anxious after having placed my order with the Co-operative Electrical Shop (for a Beko tumble dryer). I read the reviews on this site once I'd placed the order so was alarmed to see the number of bad experiences. My experience was an entirely positive one, and I would order from them again. Communication was good, I received email confirmations/texts about my order, about the despatch of the product and about the delivery time - all when they said I would. I received my hour slot, and the delivery guys showed up within that hour. They were friendly and helpful. The dryer works wonderfully and all is well in our clothes-drying world.

Wished to return a Delonghi coffee machine which I was not happy with after one use, and Coop refused to refund me more than 50% of the original sale price, quoting the "distance sellers" legal blurb when making this offer (which they refused to improve upon).
This was clearly not something I was willing to accept and I now am left with a coffee machine that I don't want and will likely need to sell it on through ebay to make more money back than the Coop. What a nightmare!
If you expect a high street or Amazon'esq customer services experience, DO NOT use Coop Electrical.

Awful!!!!

Ordered an american fridge freezer from here which was arranged for delivery on a Saturday. Took time off work to wait in. 2 hours late with delivery. On arrival they said they couldn't take the fridge up any stairs as they 'weren't allowed'. Said they had been given no trolley or straps to move the fridge in the first place. So, after waiting an extra 2 hours, there was no way they would have been able to get the fridge to my door even if there were no steps!!!!
Customer services had closed by the time all this happened so couldn't speak to anyone about rearranging or that I wasn't able to accept the purchase at the time. Told the delivery men I would rearrange.

Coop called me on the Monday 'you can have a refund or pick a smaller fridge'. No apology, nothing about rearranging delivery, being 2 hours late, or that they didn't have enough men or the proper equipment to actually DELIVER the fridge. Was told they never delivered american fridge freezers to doors because they are 'just too heavy'. Casual lie over the phone. Said I would arrange my own people to lift my fridge to my door. Arranged delivery for the Wednesday, was told that the fridge would be left on the ground floor (which i agreed to) and was assured TWICE that the delivery men would have the correct equipment to move the fridge to the bottom of the stairs, would remove the packaging & take it away so i could inspect purchase to make sure there was no damage before we moved it. I was told all this information would be put along with my order when being delivered.
Informed the people waiting for my delivery (as could not get further time off work) to have a look over the product thoroughly before taking it.
Delivery was late AGAIN, and they then refused to remove or take away packaging. So I was either told a lie again on the call and there were no notes added to my order apart from 'leave on ground' OR the delivery service is exceptionally good and choose not to do their job at all.

Absolutely no point in having a home delivery service as they apparently can't deliver their own goods to your home.

What an utter let down of a company.

I decided to order our new Hotpoint Gas Cooker from Co-op Electrical, as the price was competitive with free, and much quicker delivery time estimates than other retailers. As I last ordered from them over ten years ago and my details had changed over the years, I placed the order by telephone and was very satisfied that they could deliver the item so quickly, and the delivery itself was faultless - I was texted/emailed an hour time slot the night before the delivery day and the delivery men were prompt and very courteous, taking away all the packaging, placing the heavy item where I needed it and allowing me time to look over the cooker to check for any damage. Very pleased with the item itself. I had a slightly senior moment over the oven shelves and Co-op Electrical were extremely helpful in resolving the issue. Would have no hesitation in recommending them/using them myself again in the future.
