The College of Legal Practice is a great place to study. I am currently completing the LLM programme. The college provides you with laser focused materials to feel fully prepared for the exam. In addition, the support you get is second to none. Highly recommend COLP!

Geat and excellent

I completed my SQE1 preparation at this college. The staff was very supportive, and the course content was excellent.

I am very grateful to the College of Legal Practice for their help in getting me through SQE1. I was really glad that I chose COLP because I think the methods they use and the standard of teaching is excellent.

I completed the College's Graduate Foundation in Law programme, and thoroughly enjoyed the teaching from start to finish. The tutors are highly knowledgeable and approachable, drawing on insightful experiences from their time in practice, and the workshops really helped me to get to grips with the trickier areas of law. I would highly recommend the course to any non-law/career changers looking for a course to stand them in good stead for subsequent SQE/other legal studies.

Really helpful tutors and lecturers.

Failed the SQE 1 twice using COLP resources. Did not feel that the course went in depth enough and felt caught out when it came to the exams and there was a lot that had not been covered during the course.

Now had to pay out for a different provider and costs are building considerably.

I loved it very much . Really did, want to return but my career has taken another turn.

I initially went with COLP for their law conversion course and then went on to take their SQE prep courses. I feel like I’ve gained a great understanding of the legal landscape thorough them and been well supported throughout.

I had to purchase pass notes/books elsewhere in order to pass the SQE and quite frankly would have been better off just relying on these..
Plus I seem to be hounded by marketing emails a year after I have completed the course even though I have asked to be removed from all mailing lists!

Study materials were not substantial enough. Some tutors were no show for one to one meetings. Needs to be well organised to support candidates in a better way.

The flashcards are good but mocks were full of mistakes.

Overall, this module was instrumental in enhancing my legal skills and preparing me for success in my legal career.

Good support and feedback from tutors. Inflexible in exam (and retake) arrangements.

As someone who passed SQE1 on the first attempt, I cannot recommend COLP highly enough. From the outset, their course was incredibly well-structured, with an organised calendar and materials that were comprehensive yet easy to follow. Despite facing significant personal challenges, including health issues and a demanding full-time job, I found the course content accessible and engaging, which played a huge part in my success.

Reflecting on my experience, I have no regrets. In January, I passed the SQE 1 on my first attempt after enrolling in a part-time prep course, a testament to the effective support provided by COLP.

I was enrolled in the full-time SQE preparation course at the College of Legal Practice (COLP) while juggling a full-time job. Delighted to announce that I passed SQE1 on my first try!

When preparing for SQE1 with COLP, it was beneficial that they mix FLK1 and FLK2 modules in the schedule right from the beginning. This ensures you give equal attention to both, preventing any module from being overlooked. Some other course providers focus only on FLK1 initially, which might lead to a lack of energy when dealing with FLK2 subjects later. COLP’s approach of covering both modules at the same time helps maintain a balanced and thorough preparation for the SQE.

There is also a good number of practice papers which helps you with exam readiness.

In terms of exam experience, I found some FLK1 questions challenging but I felt that the material had been thoroughly covered by COLP. FLK2 questions resembled those practiced with COLP.

Last but not the least the support provided by COLP tutors is second to none. There are several opportunities to ask questions and receive feedback. A special shout-out to my tutor, Ms.Helen Morley who patiently guided me through the exam preparation despite my work-study challenges. She continuously assisted me in adapting my study approach to ensure I could successfully navigate the course and ultimately the SQE exam.

Thank you to the whole team of the College of Legal Practice for enabling me to gain the best understanding of the Legal System in the UK. The learning modules were perfect as they shaped my understanding and helped me retain it in the best possible way. Next to that the support team was there to help 24/7 and all of the courses which were offered next to the learning modules were very helpful along the way regarding stress management etc. All in all the best course provider for the SQE exams!

I recently completed my SQE2 prep course with COLP and as an international student, my experience has exceeded all expectations. The team has been highly knowledgeable, responsive and attentive and is keenly aware of the challenges associated with being a full-time working professional residing abroad.

My major concern when undertaking the course was regarding the oral parts of the SQE2, and the team was really helpful in providing multiple opportunities for feedback to ensure you feel truly ready for the exam. The instructors were insightful and emulated exam conditions during the internal assessments so you can understand and experience the atmosphere you will be in.

The material is enough to make you pass - the mock exams are nowhere close to how difficult the real exam is. The tutors are very nice and helpful to navigate. If you want a course just to pass then fine, if you want to be in the higher quintile then this is not the course for you.
