Hi my name is chris, on 22/12/2011 I had an accident at work which caused a severe injury to my left lower leg. This renderd me practicaly unable to walk over the christmas period, meaning that as a grown man I had to relly on the help of my family for all the things I would normally do for myself. Not nice at any time of year but being christmas it created a bit of an atmosphere in the family, as you can imagine.
Shortly after christmas I contacted claims for you to see if there was a way I could be recompenced for my injury & discomfort. My injury was caused by my employer not giving me any form of training for working at height, thus resulting in me loosing my footing & falling through the large industrial fan that I was trying to chain down ready for transporting. Without going into detail, I sustained severe damage to my left lower leg. I was fortunate not to fall from my truck to the floor where the consequences could have been a lot more severe if not fatal.

Without their help I doubt I would have got any form of compensation.
