⚠️THEFT⚠️Belongings Stolen and No Accountability.
During my recent stay at CitySuites 2 in Manchester, I felt that facilities were clean, tidy and secure, some staff were friendly and helpful, room was slightly lazily cleaned but nothing too bad, however at the end of our stay, I suffered a sudden medical emergency and had to leave by ambulance. Staff reassured me my belongings would be safe until I could return. Sadly, when I came back, I discovered my AirPods had been stolen IMMEDIATELY after we had left the premises.
I reported this immediately. The company responded with a dismissive email stating they had “reviewed CCTV and checked with HR” but found “no evidence.” This makes no sense as CCTV is irrelevant when the only people with access to the room were their own staff. Instead of investigating properly, they hid behind their Terms & Conditions, essentially saying: if your belongings are stolen here, it’s our problem, not theirs. Which is a crazy statement to make when they state they value the safety of their guests.
To experience theft while dealing with a medical emergency was stressful enough. To then be met with dishonesty, lack of care, and refusal to take accountability was unacceptable. Matters will now be taken into law enforcement due their response.
If you are considering staying here, be aware: your belongings are not safe, and management will not help you if something goes wrong.
Do not recommend staying here if valuables are clearly not safe in your own room.
