Had an issue with a return was lost by royal mail, contacted childrensalon after 2 month of the return expecting them to say its to late, but they super friedly service were so polite and sorted it out!! top customer service!

Never was such low service

I was buying in CS over 13 years. And every year it was getting worse and worse. My last experience was terrific. I made order from 3 March and it was for special event. I got my order only by 20 March with 2 weeks delay!! Of course it came too late for the event.
I needed many times continuously to contact customer service, they promised to write back but never did, they talked to me irrelevant and not interested, when I was asking why they didn’t know what was with my parcel ( they did not know exactly missing documents for custom ) and I was claiming why they didn’t have custom lawyer to deal with docs, the customer service did not accept any fault and was telling me repeatedly “how many EU clients they have”, probably I needed to understand that they don’t care if they lose one.
My pack came with 2 weeks delay and during all this time Childrensalon completely did not monitor situation , they never knew anything exactly , naming randomly every time different documents missing. They even wanted that online buyer like me would give to online shop Power of Attorney to act on custom (?!). When I already got my pack they finally wrote to me but telling that pack is still on custom and that custom needs my ID ( so it proves they are incompetent and did not monitor the situation with problematic delivery . )
They even did not try/offer me in such situation to call parcel back and resend it again with all needed documents. No, they prefer to budget on lawyers, budget few dollars to re-send pack which they don’t know how to move from custom..
And it’s not first time when THEY DO NOT KNOW WHAT CUSTOM NEEDS.

Prices are higher than by original brands, plus you pay 20% tax for EU orders and after all this you get irrelevant ignoring attitude, when the stuff points you that they don’t value you coz they have “lots of clients”

The item I picked cost £137 when I put it into the shopping bag. When I pay, it suddenly changed to over £200 and I can’t even request a refund. This is one of the items of my purchase, not to mention other items

I can see that you requested to cancel this order, and this has been arranged for you.
As you are based outside of the UK (shipping), we have to sell our items at the price advised by the brand in the country.
Not all of our items are priced in this way. When they are, this is the price that they have to be sold at, as mentioned, it is requested from the designer.
Looking back over your previous orders, I can see that the items you have chosen are not priced in such a way; this is why you would have seen no changes when you added your address details.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS RETAILER

I purchased clothing from this retailer for my children. They have refused to process my refund even after I sent their items back in the condition I got them in. They do not respond to emails. Their packaging is poor or non existent . Their delivery partner left my package outside and it was damaged. They refused to take responsibility or follow consumer law. Their reply below is nothing short of lies and deception in order to not refund. There is nothing luxury about them. Poor customer services and slow processing of orders, returns and refunds. STAY AWAY from them they will do whatever they can to not refund you. Their children’s clothes are unhygienic there are so many other places that provide better protection and good customer services. These people only make excuses for their incompetence

I hope you are very well.
I would like to provide a bit more information about this story and let you know why the refund has not been processed for two of the items you sent back from a total of 5.

Upon arrival of your parcel, you let us know that this item was missing:
Dolce & Gabbana
Boys Black & White Majolica Print Piqué Shirt - 4 years.
With anything like this, we will always check our CCTV as each packing station is installed with a camera above it to watch all orders being packed.
All boxes are lined with tissue paper, and the items are added inside the tissue.

We could see that this item was added to the order and was between other items, so to remove this would have meant that other items would need to be removed as well.
As part of the investigation, we asked you if anyone had unpacked the box for you, and you said no, there was not.

You also reported damage to the box upon arrival. Checking the Proof of Delivery (POD) from the courier, which shows a photo and the location of the delivery, we can see that there is a slight hole in the box we have reported to DPD.

The picture that you shared with us showed a dark brown stain on the box that looks like coffee. This does not match the image that has been supplied by the courier from the delivery.
You let us know that upon opening the box, the blue shirt, Dolce & Gabbana Boys Pale Blue Cotton DG Crest Logo Shirt - 4 years, which we can see from the CCTV packing images, was the last item to be packed, so the first item that would have been seen when the box was opened was stained.

Watching the CCTV and how the packer folds the item, we can see that the shirt was folded with the arms underneath the shirt, so if something was spilt onto the item, it would be expected that the stain would be at the front of the shirt. You let us know that the stain was in the arms of the shirt. The shirt was placed in the box collar side up, so this would have been the area that should have been stained, not at the bottom of the sleeve near the cuff. There was no staining on the collar or the front of the shirt.

Upon returning the item to us, the swing tag attached to this item was the swing tag from the item you had previously let us know was missing. Dolce & Gabbana swing tags are sealed, which means they cannot be reattached once they are cut. This swing tag was not only for the wrong item, but it was also glued together where the seal had been cut.
The second item was a pair of Childrensalon trousers - Childrensalon Occasions Boys Blue Cotton Chino Trousers - 4 years.
These were returned to us with signs of wear and with a swing tag attached that is from a brand we have never stocked. So, we were unable to accept these as a return
As neither item complies with our returns policy, we are not able to accept them for a refund.

I can see that on the 2nd January, we sent you a return label for the blue shirt so that we could get this back from you from the parcel that was delivered to you on the 31st December 2025.
We also let you know that the item you mentioned was missing from the order and was under investigation.
With all items, swing tags are very important as they show the authenticity of the item, and you then know that it has been sent to us directly from the brand.

This is the same for our returns, as we need to know the items being returned are in immaculate condition with the tags attached.

So, to conclude, this is why we have been unable to accept these items for a return and refund.

Return RB881595 Childrensalon have…

Return RB881595 Childrensalon have taken my money and I’ve received no goods, refund or any further communication to the information I’ve given you.
I returned the above order on the 8th November asking for the items to be exchanged for a different size in the hope I would give them to my daughter (who is expecting) for Christmas.
I used your returns label and provided tracking details that the parcel was on the way to you. I provided the confirmation via the Royal Mail app. My understanding is this has not been received by you.
I have had several contact exchanges with your company and my most recent is with Charlotte at Customer Care.
She received all the information saying you would investigate this.
You have cancelled my request for an exchange order and have provided me with no satisfactory outcome to receiving an exchange or refund.
In addition, regardless of further communication to you by myself I have requested Charlotte to advise me what is happening and I have received no further communication.
My bank has advised me that using a prepaid returns label provided by you. You the retailer are responsible for the package under the consumer rights act and I should have received an exchange or refund.
The response to my return request has been unsatisfactory and does not meet the standards required under the Consumer Rights Act. I am asking for the return of the money I have paid you within the next 48hrs.

Disappointing durability for children’s UGG boots

I am a long-term customer of both Childrensalon and UGG, and unfortunately this experience was very disappointing.

I purchased a pair of UGG boots for my 4-year-old daughter. She has worn UGG boots every winter since she started walking (sometimes one or two pairs per season), and we have never experienced this issue before.

After extremely limited use — essentially one normal day out (tube travel, theatre visit, light rain) — the boots showed significant fraying at the front and looked heavily worn, as if they had been used for years. This is not consistent with what I would consider reasonable durability for children’s winter boots at this price point.

I contacted Childrensalon and provided photos. The response was polite but dismissive, stating that this was “normal wear” and not a manufacturing fault. A 20% refund was offered as a goodwill gesture, which I accepted, but the boots are now not in a condition to be worn again.

What is most disappointing is being repeatedly told that this level of deterioration is normal, despite many years of personal experience suggesting otherwise. This has made me reconsider both the product quality and future purchases.

Update:
For clarity, this pair was worn once only. Previous UGG boots worn daily for school, parks, travel and even snow remained in excellent condition and were passed on in great shape.

This level of deterioration after a single use is not consistent with normal wear and supports my concerns about declining quality.

We always want our customers to be delighted with items when they arrive. As with any delivery, it is encouraged to check items and make sure that you are happy with them.

Our designers and Childrensalon follow a very strict quality control system. If we are not happy with an item before it leaves us, we will always check with the customer and find out their thoughts before sending it out.

When you let us know that you were not happy with an item, we asked for many photos so that we could see what you were seeing, this then would help us to understand what had happened from the time they were delivered to you on the 25th November to the time you let us know that you were not happy with them on the 18th December.

Upon examining the photos, we could see that the front of the boots was slightly scuffed, and although the lightweight rubber sole was not overly used, we had to conclude that the boots had become faithful friends very quickly, and that this was not a fault as part of the manufacturing; it was from the use of the boots.
I know that we have discussed over private email a conclusion to this, and this was agreed.

I really don’t want you to lose faith in the brand at all, as you mention, this is a brand that you have come to love and have bought from before.
We will, as with all of our customers, be contacting the brand with your feedback.

Love returning to Childrensalon

Everytime I engage with Childrensalon, I am reminded why I return. They have a great range of products, ideal for those special occassions; their loyalty programme offers genuinely good discounts, and their service (returns, exchanges etc) is simple and efficient. Their customer service has always been very helpful and accommodating (thank you Sade!) - so nice to have the opportunity to converse with a human rather than a chatbot!!

What an amazing shop

What an amazing shop. I got a christening outfit delivered to Ireland within 2 days. The outfit didn’t fit and the amazing team sent me some alternatives with sizing. They really went above and beyond. I will definitely buy from Children salon again and would recommend it to anyone!

Suspected replica item.

Ignore their reply, it’s not accurate. Have contacted trading standards, don’t waste your money or time with this company! “Your request to keep the item with a refund” let’s be honest now, I asked for you to provide me postage DIRECTLY to jelly cat as clearly you’re an untrustworthy company. I also offered to destroy the item (with photos) for a refund but I would not allow this item to fall in the hands of another child. This company has acted incredibly suspicious and desperate to get the item for themselves despite all evidence it’s fake. The item is being returned directly to Jellycat after I communicated with them, I’ve taken the financial loss as I unlike this company take children’s safety seriously. Keep your money, spend it at any other company. Shocking!

Recently purchased a Jellycat I was unable to obtain from the official Jellycat website, upon arrival noticed multiple discrepancies with the authentic exact same ones I had for my other children. Tried to rectify with the company and after a few scripted emails finally got through to real replies. The replies were unfortunately disappointing, the item meets many markers for a fake and at this point I am entirely confident that’s what I have received. After making it clear I would not be returning to them as I wanted it investigated that was all they were willing to offer. I don’t find this to be a trust worthy company and have contacted citizens advice to pass along concerns to trading standard. Real shame, would consider taking your money elsewhere.

I am very pleased that we have been able to chat with you via email and reassure you of our next steps as you were so concerned about the safety of the item, we had requested if you could return this to us, at our expense, so that we could then send onto JellyCat, and answer the questions you had emailed us about.
Your request to keep the item and have a refund was not possible, mainly as you had stressed your concerns about safety.
Thank you for taking the time to tell us that, we wanted to get an answer for you from JellyCat .
As a retailer of Children’s clothes and Toys, it is crucial that we act quickly on any feedback we have received concerning the safety of any items, so we were keen as well to find out what the differences meant and how we were able to then answer your questions to us.
On Thursday Jelly Cat replied and asked us to contact you to ask the following question:
''From the looks of it, the item they brought from you was from a different production run than the two items that were brought directly from Jellycat based on the two from Jellycat having an older style label.
If the customer can provide us with the batch number for the item brought from you, this will be on the reverse of the label showing ‘LOT3BB’; we can ask production to share some information on when these were produced.''
This was part of the email that we sent to you and suggested that the photos can be added to the email chain that we had been chatting on.
As you let us know you no longer wanted to hear from Childrensalon and that you were dealing with this yourself, we have not had an opportunity to send any information to JellyCat.
Of course, do let us know if you would like to proceed, by adding the photos requested by Jellycat to the email and we can forward them on and then inform you of the reply.
