Fraudulent transactions taken

Fraudulent transactions taken. A single month service was paid for no subscription made, a single invoice was sent by the company for a one off payment. They then took 7 further payments unlawfully. I had assumed it was a mistake and contacted the company but they responded aggressively. Worse still they are refusing to stop taking payments. It’s literally daylight robbery. The matter is now with the uk police and my bank has identified it as fraudulent activity

For anyone else reading this review - I would like to provide context as to what occurred with this student. When this student subscribed to CG Forge, they had agreed to a non-refund policy which is clearly stated in a variety of ways. The no-refund policy is stated in the agreed terms and conditions and additionally during checkout by selecting a checkbox which states, "I understand that CG Forge will not offer refunds, subscriptions will renew automatically, and I take all responsibility for managing my subscription preferences." In fact, it is impossible to subscribe to CG Forge without agreeing directly to these options, and this information is additionally conveyed throughout the website.

In spite of our best efforts to clearly communicate this policy, this student still requested a refund after they had left their subscription on for a few months after watching some courses. Our support team was extremely polite and professional. They did their best to respect this student and clearly communicate - even after this person went on various social media platforms in an attempt to defame CG Forge under numerous accounts. Additionally, this student threatened legal actions and a variety of other actions to take down our business.

All in all, there is nothing "fraudulent" about CG Forge or its business activities. It is a subscription service - much like other subscription services like Netflix, Amazon, etc. Our policies, information on how to cancel, and customer support services are all clearly available to students. Untrustworthy company

Untrustworthy company. Canceled my susbcription and the site still charged me. Will not refund because there is no refunds. Tyler doesnt provide a good service. Ask too many questions and he gets mad with you stops answering questions and then provides no service to you. When you have a newer or older version then what he uses in his video he expects you to get the other version or suck it up. Hes a horrible teacher that should be avoided at all costs.

Edit 10/15/2025:

Tyler can easily make any claim he wants years later. He is not a good teacher. Using ChatGPt tought me more in a day then his course could teach me in a year. Use ChatGPT as it will help you create exactly what you want fairly easily and not need to get attitude from someone you pay for services. He acts like he won a big prize with $176, for providing not a single bit of education. He stole that money and it's ok as this one review has cost him far more then the $176 he should have returned and this review will continue to loose him money now that people know how much better ChatGPT is at teaching Houdini then some rude person that can only teach you the a tutorial on a specific version of Houdini. He's a clown not a teacher.

For anyone else reading this review - I would like to provide the context to which this was written. Danny was upset a couple years ago because I did not offer him a refund. At CG Forge, we do not offer refunds. Our refund policy is also explicitly stated multiple times throughout the website in order to prevent unnecessary confusion. For example, it is impossible to purchase anything at CG Forge unless you check a box which states, "I understand that CG Forge will not offer refunds, subscriptions will renew automatically, and I take all responsibility for managing my subscription preferences." Danny agreed to these statements, and spent a considerable amount of time watching courses and going through content.

During Danny's stay at CG Forge, I offered him quick feedback. I went so far as to go through his scene files and provide detailed feedback with screenshots and detailed emails to assist him in under 24 hours. There was never a moment where I became "mad" at his questions or refused to provide my services.

In spite of our efforts to communicate the refund policy, Danny insisted on a refund and went so far as to post across many online communities in an attempt to defame CG Forge when I politely said no. He even so far as to promise to, "make my life hell," "ruin me and my business," along with wishing me a "horrible death" along with legal threats of suing CG Forge.

All ends well though... CG Forge is still very much alive and well. Danny lost his dispute of $176, and the only memory that remains is this negative review. If you are concerned about the quality of services provided by CG Forge, always feel free to get in contact. We will always help students as best as we can.
