Absolutely disgraceful service. Wife has received 3 fines in succession. Takes so long to come through we didn't know we were breaking the ts and cs. 60 quid each. Last fine issued 5 months after event. Council linked with this. Daylight robbery. Disgusted they can run a business like this.

The BPA were incompetently slow responding to my complaint about one of their members. In fact, I still have not received any response from them, so I suspect they are are not really interested in the folks who have to park in their members' car parks. Their total lack of professionalism and respect for hard working members of the public is shocking. I had high hopes for this group, but they failed at the first hurdle by simply failing to respond. Disappointing to say the least. Finally, their lack of transparency was awful, and even their phone numbers just cited a website address :(. 0 out of 10

Ive had two parking tickets from the British Parking Association. Parking signs not clear so they can catch motorists. Now I have to ccj and they expect me to pay these off. Any appeals they don't respond they don't deserve one star in my opinion.

Rogue parking attendants that issue parking fines for various stupid reasons (permit not valid or on another occasion no permit on display) despite having a permit on display that was correct and complied with the parking requirements in the area. Greedy and clearly working to commission.

If I could give no stars I would...Rip off merchants...Only out to line their own pockets... Son attends university of Suffolk, passed his test February and genuinly never realised he needed a permit to park in the university carpark, he was told and we had read previously it cost £2 to park as a student. Five weeks after parking he received his first parking notice, Five weeks had they sent it quicker he would have realised there was a issue and been able to sort it especially as a student the permit is free just need to apply on line, so far received 3 notices all taken over 5 weeks to come. appealed but lost, no surprise.

Should be ashamed of themselves. Ipserv Ltd in ipswich. Despite having purchased a ticket to cover the time I parked and presented the evidence of the ticket they have refused my appeal. They say there were notices saying you also need a permit. There were not (or they were not in plain view). They have provided no evidence of these "notices". They know I bought a ticket and didn't try to avoid paying. They are revenue generating pirates.

If I could rate this practice, one for making easy pickings on the ‘easy target’ motorist once again.
I’d rate it minus 2 stars
Why bother complaining, pay up and shut up, its not worth the hassle, they’ve got you by the b*****ks !
Feel so much better now😊

absolute waste of space. Complained to BPA about P4parking to be told they dont need to prove they have any authority to collect parking charges Nor do they need to prove they have any signs... Total jokers paid for by the parking bullys who issue the fines in the first place. BPA code of conduct states they must have signs at entry point yet when you query this told absolute opposite!!. Total sham of an organisation basically legalised theft. Dont waste time writing to them you get a standard template response

A ticket was issued by the Park watch to my dad at One Stop Shopping Centre. Park watch did not have a valid landowner authority document with the current owners of One stop Shopping centre and they also sent out letters harassing my dad about the payment of the fine after they rejected his appeal. This is a breach of the BPA code as they are meant to send out letters 35 days after they reject your appeal and also have a valid landowner authority to the private land. My dad complained to BPA. They upheld Park Watch's explanation claiming no breach of their code. Park Watch did not show the landowner authority with current owners! They are not worth complaining to as they are funded by these parking cowboys.

Private parking companies unfortunately get away with murder when it comes to issuing invalid notices and they get away because normal people won't know how to identify the errors. I appeal private parking tickets every day, and when people appeal and tell the parking company that they were driving, they put the case in the parking operators’ hands.
One thing to remember is, every ticket that goes to court costs the parking company more than you and if you appeal at every stage, they will lose money.
4 Golden rules,
1. DO NOT say who was driver, simply say "the driver" in your appeal
2. Always appeal to the operator and independent service using a good template
3. Never pay debt collectors, let the case go to court if needed, you will get free support from forums like MSE to write a defence
4. You can send your ticket to Parkingmateuk.com who will appeal for you or use the service to get appeal letters and templates.
The Protection of Freedoms Act 2012 was introduced to protect drivers and it has strict requirements parking companies must follow before they can claim money from the vehicle keeper. These requirements are at the heart of how Parkingmateuk.com win appeals.
Poorly written appeals are the reason why most appeals fail, parking companies make ALOT of mistakes when issuing tickets. If you write an appeal letter using parkingmateuk.com, you will go through a list of things from POFA 2012 that the operator needs to do for a ticket to be valid. If the operator doesn't do them, they can't claim the money from the keeper and they can huff and puff all they like!

I also contacted BPA and gave them all the evidence that proved the land was not private, not even leased to the company that gave Premier Park the contract to enforce ANPR abuse at the site and they did nothing, waste of time as they are all feeding of the same scam

BPA is a not fit for purpose organisation , who itself is unregulated and regulates an unregulated industry . BPA re writes its own Code of Practice to suit its members who unlawfully obtain Registered Keeper details from DVLA.
I have now sent two complaints to BPA regarding Premier Park not having a valid licence to operate. I pointed out :
1. Premier Park did not have landowner authority as per BPA code of practice.
2. Premier Park entered into a contract with TCCT who were not the lawful leaseholders. I also obtained a copy of the lease from the Land Registry clearly showing that TCCT did not lease the car park.
However, this is the response I received from BPA:
Premier Park confirmed this by providing us with a copy; I hope you can appreciate that we cannot share this with anyone external due to confidentiality purposes. TCCT had and still have a long-term lease in place which allows them to engage a variety of services. This is no different to a retail park or leisure facility that may be owned by a group or individual, yet is managed & operated at arm’s length via a lease arrangement by a third party.

So having pointed out a breach in code of practice. BPA re writes the code of practice. Can someone please tell me where it is stated in the code "yet is managed & operated at arm’s length via a lease arrangement by a third party"!!!!!!!!!!!!

I complained to BPA about Parkingeye delivery of an invalid PCN, issued by an ANPR car park. The response from them is copied below, and confirms my distrust of the private parking industry, and all those associated with it. You can draw your own conclusions, and have highlighted a *****paragraph***** below that will make you realise, contacting them will be nothing more than a fools errand.

Thank you for your email in connection with ParkingEye Ltd.
To give you some background of what we do our role is to investigate any complaints about alleged non-compliance with our Code where evidence can be supplied; however, the BPA is a membership organisation and we are not set up to deal with disputes from the general public about parking, nor can we cancel or suspend Parking Charge Notices. ****Therefore, the Code does not provide a way for a driver to challenge how a landowner or operator has applied parking control and enforcement on private land.*****Any challenge or appeal is a matter for the landowners or operators procedure, with the option of taking it to POPLA, and or the courts. The BPA will not get involved in the arbitration of a dispute between an operator and an individual.
Please be advised we are unable to comment on why the charge has been issued as we do not have access to the operators records; if you believe the charge has been issued in error you will need to submit an appeal.
If a charge is left ignored or unpaid, in can result in debt recovery action.
Details of how to appeal the charge should be outlined on the notice; alternatively you can appeal here.
We hope the above information is of assistance to you.

And here we have the code infringement....but the BPA have no mechanism for the motorists to complain, no method of auditing it...in fact the code is useless then...just like BPA ( and POPLA)...in fact all associated.
BPA code 21.2 (ANPR)
Quality checks: before you issue a parking charge
notice you must carry out a manual quality check of the ANPR images to reduce errors and make sure that it is appropriate to take action

your solution to me is wait for a receipt? your machines didn't give me that freaking option to take one! you talk to me like im dumb and I dont know how to use a payment machine. however I question its you that needs to learn to read my complaint properly!
I hope you get taken to town one day for the absolute fraudsters ad sham "association" that you are.
you literally serve no purpose, you read from a script to respond to complaints, you don't read complains properly and just stick up for your members regardless.
"cant contest a charge" so what do you do exactly to keep your members in line following professional standards?? Car parking parternship (another scam company) have basically mugged me and you have just pat them on the back.
