Faulty items and poor after sales communication.
This is the second time we've used Better Kitchens and what a change in quality / customer service, the first time was excellent service and very helpful sales, this time, what a shock!
Items arrived late and damaged (work top / breakfast panels) after struggling to get hold of the customer service team (always answer machine and never phoned you back) I was told different stories each time, in the end I asked for cash back to purchase the items elsewhere and had to chase the refund daily!

Would I recommend: definitely not due to the second purchase, (only 9 months apart)

The quality of the units and the expedience from order to delivery were first class. Secondly, I'd like to thank you for your customer support, the chap I spoke to on the phone when I was having trouble working out the orientation of the soft close cupboard hinges was more than happy to provide over and above the requested information.

DIY is a bit frustrating, however, the cabinets are really strong and the finish of the painted doors is really nice.

Better Kitchens should provide better literature to support people doing DIY, but even without it's all possible if you are proficient at DIY (which I imagine you would be if you buy a kitchen DIY)

Few issues with communication and items delivers however better kitchens resolved them all promptly (after getting over the communication issues :) ), Kitchen is fitted now and looks great.

Better kitchens live up to their name. Our new kitchen really is a better kitchen. Great quality everything went smoothly. They even rang us to ask a few questions to confirm our choice of carcase and door colours. My mistake I had got it wrong. They had questioned this and I was so glad they did instead of just sending out. So this for me was a mark of a good company. They didn't want me to be disappointed. The quality of this Wiltshire shaker kitchen is fantastic I am so happy with it. Why pay horrendous prices elsewhere when you can order from better kitchens for half the price and not compromise on quality. Delivery was when they said it would be too.

Superb kitchen units, strong and beautiful and delivered fully made up. No hassle company to deal with. I would recommend to anyone.......... this was my original review but I have since ordered more units and that has not been so smooth. Instead of trying to sort my query they have been insulting, told lie after lie and now I would never deal with them again. Abysmal treatment of customers

We are very happy with our Better Kitchens kitchen. Julian was very helpful throughout the design and order process. We had a slight issue with one panel and it was rectified very quickly with no hesitation. Great product, great staff, great service

We were looking at a company with a small bird as it's logo but then discovered Better Kitchens. We cannot fault the product, service and friendliness on all that have been in the process of delivery. We saved a fortune coming here with a same, if not better, quality product.

The kitchen was delivered in immaculate condition. I was impressed and pleased by the quality, the kitchen units were heavy and put together to a high standard. The kitchen is strong and sturdy, I was on a tight budget, staff understood my needs and requirements, no hard sell, which gave me confidence to choose better kitchens.

All the staff were helpful and professional. I went with a design and better kitchens offered recommendations and improvements.

I am happy to recommend Better Kitchens as my experience was a totally positive one.

Faulty items and poor after sales communication.

Our order wasn't delivered correctly (some parts missing and some excess to the plan) as well as faulty items such as broken fittings and warped doors.

Having to chase for updates on how the company will resolve this and still not clear what will be done.

Unfortunately I cannot recommend Better Kitchens.
I found the customer service poor.
I placed an order for a kitchen in March but it was not delivered due to the company stopping manufacturing due to the corona virus. They could not give me a delivery date or time frame.
I therefore requested a refund to be able to go to an alternative supplier as I needed to have a kitchen.
Better Kitchens refused to refund me despite several requests.
They could not give a delivery time frame and therefore I felt cheated of over £2000.
Every time I called they said they could not help me regarding a delivery date.
They sent generic email replies rather than trying to resolve my problem.
I have eventually had a kitchen installed by another supplier who provided my kitchen within 2 weeks rather than waiting indefinitely for Better Kitchen who may or may not have delivered my kitchen.

The service, delivery and quality of the products are all outstanding. My kitchen looks fabulous, I would definitely recommend using this company.

I have just had my kitchen fitted which Better Kitchens supplied and I couldn't be happier!

I measured the kitchen myself and planned out the units I needed, I found the website very good with so much choice on units which I couldn't find else where!

The price was very reasonable compared with other kitchen companies
I had been to so I was a little worried that they may not be the best quality but I was very wrong they where to a high standard with all matching carcases and very sturdy with a great finish! I am extremely fussy and could not find fault!

The customer service was always 10/10, I spoke with Julian who was extremely helpful through out the whole process!

Would definitely recommend and use again!

I cannot recommend Better Kitchens based on my experience.

Throughout planning, revisions were updated but previous changes lost so I had to keep a list of all requested changes and check the list against each plan which was very time consuming and a faff, it meant I lost trust in the designer and the process. ie. you speak to a designer who then relays to CAD designer so there has been detail lost in translation. Even in the final plan a specific request for the sink to be placed in centre of the kitchen window wasn't followed and our clever builder had to adapt to make this work, completely changing the design and at the cost of an extra days work for him to do so.

By the way, be aware that the Belfast sink unit fits a 220mm tall sink (we were not and don't feel this was made clear in our discussions/plan as Belfast sinks, I have learned come in two sizes) however having bought the wrong size, I called our designer Julian who promised to check whether one is available and call us straight back. I'm still waiting for that call 5 hours later.

We followed the plan but couldn't open a corner pull out cupboard due to proximity to cabinet next to it. When I rang to speak to Julian about it, he told me that they sell this arrangement all day, every day and will definitely work so we should check that the corner post was fitted correctly as these cupboards always come with a corner post. No corner post was on the plan nor supplied.

A cupboard door is warped and an internal plastic joint on the pull out larder is broken. Whilst we appreciate these cant be exchanged through current COVID-19 conditions, we hope this isn't a problem for us to receive straight doors and a replacement larder unit when open again for business.

There was not enough plinth supplied to furnish the island, not enough knobs or handles supplied either.

My perfect dream kitchen is absolutely not perfect and has been a nightmare. Go somewhere else.

I ordered this kitchen because of the large variations in unit sizes and styles, and of all the positive reviews. I am not disappointed, it arrived very well packed and the quality is superb, very well made. I work in France a lot and have fitted many quality kitchens both there and here in the UK and I can honestly say this kitchen equals and in most cases exceeds the quality of far more expensive kitchens that I have fitted, I am just glad that I chose Better Kitchens for myself but will have no hesitation in recommending them to any of my customers in future.
In addition the standard of customer service is excellent, very helpful and informative. Many thanks to the team.

Following a lot of research between online companies and high street we found that better kitchens gave us the best price by far. Having now received and installed the units they are equal if not better quality units than the ones I had previously spent more on in other houses. We did have a slight problem that one unit arrived and was the wrong dimensions to the order but I spoke to mark who fixed the issue straight away and got a new oven housing out. I can not fault the service or the quality, I would recommend them to anyone who wants a new kitchen

I looked online and spoke to a lot of people to compare quality and prices for my new kitchen.
Julian, in sales for Better Kitchens, took me through every process of planning and buying my kitchen, All Online! . I sent him a plan of what I wanted and he took me through it step by step.
He was friendly, professional, and anticipated my every question, definitely knows his stuff!
My kitchen arrived, ready built, in perfect condition and when he said it would, and I love it!
I am today ordering more wall units to add to my kitchen and am awaiting Julian getting back to me with his recommendation.
Nothing is to much trouble so both my daughter and son are now looking to Better Kitchens to purchase their new kitchens.
I highly recommend Better Kitchen, thank you for such good service
