Super knowledageable staff

Helpful staff, nice clean, big store. Tried lots of options before settling for a bed we liked. Jack was very helpful at the Hedge End store.

A very attentive and knowledgeable sales assistant who spent time going through all options available to me for the enquiry I had.

UPDATED 23.01.26 : Unfortunately after initially excellent service, Bensons have been a disaster. Delivery confirmed for 21st (so took day off work) - they then confirmed on the 19th that it would now be the 23rd so wasted a day. Arrival on 23rd was late and the driver rang me asking "Is it okay if we bring in the mattress without the box?". When I asked why he said "The box appears to be damaged, but you're welcome to take a look before we bring it in". It was damaged. It was unsealed, box open, several puncture marks through the box and it looked as though it has been crushed and / or thrown about in a warehouse. What kind of idiots work in Bensons warehouse? Where is the QC before items get sent out to customers? The drivers were both brilliant (Ryan and Charlie) who both profusely apologised and agreed to take it back. An hour on the phone to Bensons where they refunded me but refused to offer anything by way of apology, or for the two days I was at home for the delivery. Went direct to Simba and ordered it online instead. Suggest you do the same.

ORIGINAL REVIEW: Great service in store at both Southampton and Andover branches. Ended up buying online and getting advice from Tara (branch manager - Andover) and Stewart McGregor online via chat. With some negotiation - price was cheapest and delivery due shortly. Price matched another online provider.

I had a great experience at Bensons for Beds, made even better by Aeura, who was incredibly helpful throughout. Aeura was knowledgeable, patient, and really took the time to understand what I was looking for without being pushy at all. Aeura explained the different mattress options clearly, answered all my questions, and made the whole process feel easy and stress-free.

Really impressed with the level of customer service, a big thank you to Aeura for making it such a positive experience. Highly recommend both her and the store.

The staff member in the Southampton (Hedge End) store is very polite and helpful. He answers all our questions patiently. He allows us to try many mattresses freely and finally we find our favorite one. We would like to thank him so much.

His service was exceptional — he listened carefully, showed me every suitable option, and provided genuinely helpful advice. I found the exact bed and mattress I was looking for. My mother and I arrived at 15:30 during the last hours of the black Friday sale. We needed a mattress as my mother has a terminal condition which disrupts her sleeping position. The sales assistant we requested help from was new to the store. He provided a well balanced level of support, information, respect and humanitarian kindness. We really needed top level customer support, and if we hadn't found it at Bensons for Beds we would have simply gone to one of the other 4 stores in the area. We felt confident in our purchase and the experience was uplifting. I want to say a real thanks to that team and Nathan in particular.
