This easily would have been a 5 star review save for the continued promise to send me replacement handgrips as a replacement for the ones that were damaged in shipping when I received my bike.

I contacted Beachbikes 3 times about the grips being damaged and even sent pictures of where the finish on the grips was worn down to the plastic. Each time I was told that replacements would be sent. Each time I waited and waited and nothing. I would call again, customer service would find the note in my file and promised to send out replacements. Again nothing.

I was considering buying my wife a bike for the beach for Christmas as her $99 special is much worse for the wear. I replaced the chain and that will get another season out of it if I have to research other bikes to purchase.

I am thrilled about my Men's Urban Deluxe Cruiser but not the condition of the handgrips. Were I able to attach a picture of them (both damaged) I would. When I buy a new bike I expect it to be undamaged, cosmetic or otherwise. When I received the bike I noted that the box had been opened and the padding around the handgrips had been removed/repositioned. Fearing that this may have been someone else's return I called Beachbikes and was told that the boxes are sometimes opened and resealed but it should be new.

There was a review that mentioned the fender noise. If you hear the noise stop the bike and check the fender bolts. I had three come off on their own. The one holding the front of the rear fender to the frame had come off allowing the fender to rub against the rear tire and shredding the edge of the tire. I noticed all the rubber debris on the swingarm. I replaced all the nuts with elastic stop nuts. Note: There aren't any lock washers on these bolts.

Riding the bike (when I'm not chasing down replacement nuts and bolts) is a dream for my bad back and fake knee. I was able to dial in the adjustments on the seat and handlebars to get them positioned just right. I was worried about the one speed with no gearing. No fear for me. On basically flat roads I am able to crank it out from stop to a pretty good pace without even feeling the need for another gear. They got the gearing of the one speed just right. The coaster brake takes a bit getting used to again after about 50 years but its just like riding a, well, you know.

The bike has gotten a lot of positive comments from people as the black frame with red rims and white wall tires is a head turner. If only it didn't have those damn scuffed up hand grips...

I’m delighted with my beautiful bike but your assembly instructions could use some fortification. The brake levers were purposefully (?) twisted with no mention of how to correct their positioning and we have still not gotten the brake pads correctly adjusted to the tires.

I need a 24” bike due to how short I am. I wanted my feet to touch the ground so I would feel comfortable. I looked at a lot of bikes online and at my local shops. I could not find any 24” all black that I liked. When I saw the matte black bike on this website I knew it was for me. I love my bike and I am 100% happy with it. The bike was easy to put together and did not take long to get to me.

I could’ve looked at every bike shop and STILL not find anything CLOSE to the QUALITY AND PRICE that this BEAUTIFUL MACHINE offers.Assembly was a snap ...This bike is GORGEOUS.
And SOLIDLY BUILT. FIRMSTROMG ‘URBAN ‘ is for bigger people.The seat is very comfortable and handlebars are perfect. Handle grips are nice..Some of the wrapping on the bike caused some of the paint to scuff in places during transport but no damage and it came promptly FEDEX...my only real complaint is I WISH I ORDERED IT WITH FENDERS!!!

I love my bike so much! Not only is it beautiful but rides so smoothly. I ride at least 4 miles everyday and everything seems to be working perfectly. I go to Uc Davis and we are a biking campus and I get so many compliments on this bike.

Very Happy with my New Firmstrong Beach Crusier "Chief" Came as expected but with a dead mouse in the box. That's why only 4 stars.

We just purchased our 4th Firmstrong bike from BeachBikes. We have always been pleased with BeachBikes and the Firmstrong bicycles. We will be purchasing our 5th bike in a week or two!

Beach Bikes is a friendly, professional and extremely helpful company. I do not have my bike yet due to some difference in the colors online so I had to send my first choice back. It was the Firmstrong urban lady in pink that turned out to be more lavender. Beach bikes arranged to have the bike picked up and returned right from my front door. Then I ordered a Six three zero Evry Journey in teal but read online that it was a gloss finish but the Navy was metallic so I wanted to make another change. So this is why I am still waiting for my bike. They answer their calls and send emails to keep me informed of the status of my order. I was also able to receive bike size advice from Rico from their retail store. None of the people at Beach bikes made me feel stupid for asking many questions or like they were doing me a favor by selling their bikes. They are awesome! All the staff at Beach Bikes were helpful and understanding. I think perhaps some of the color and paint finish details could be made more specific. I am disappointed that I still have to wait but they made it easy to facilitate changes and returns. I really have the feeling that Beach bikes wants you to be satisfied with your purchase. I highly recommend BeachBikes.
