Since AMS was founded in 1942, our products have been used by individuals, businesses, universities, non-profits, and government agencies throughout the world for a wide variety of sampling, testing, and monitoring purposes. AMS primarily serves the following industries: Agricultural, Geotechnical, Environmental, and Groundwater. And since 1994, we have been manufacturing AMS PowerProbe direct push drill rigs. Our PowerProbes can be mounted on pickup trucks, trailers, UTVs, skid loaders, tractors, and tracks. They have gained widespread acceptance due to their versatility, relatively low cost, and ease of mobility. PowerProbes are designed to be used for soil, soil gas, and groundwater sampling, testing, and monitoring; installing monitoring wells; geophysical and geotechnical assessments; and remediation investigations and implementations. Not entirely pleased
I did not receive a receipt for my purchase (which my accountants need) and when I asked for one, the response was that I would receive one in 2 weeks after product shipping. That was the first I had been told that it would take 2 weeks.
That said, the technical support was very good.

First Rate Tools for Soil Scientists
I have used AMS soil sampling equipment for over 20 years in various capacities. My AMS probes (I prefer 2" or 3" Dutch augers on a 5 ft carbon steel extension, driven by a ratcheting crossbar) have always delivered, especially in dry and/or stony soils where simple push probes fail to even penetrate. The 5 ft extension allows me to sample the full root zone of most crops and lets me quickly explore multiple soil profiles without the need to dig pits. Lastly, I have never had a probe break on me.

Canvas bag for probes
The recent purchase of a canvas bag for carrying probes was great. I have to get them on planes quite a bit so I needed something that “looked official” and held all I needed. The delivery was right on time too.
