DO NOT GET ACTIVE AND FIT!!! It is better to just go through the gym. Active and fit is a scam and is NOT for the veterans. They only allow you to go to one gym now (that used to not be the case, and maybe back then it was worth it). You have to pay $30 every time you switch gyms.. I asked for a refund in like an hour after I switched because Crunch offered a better rate for veterans and Active and Fit will not give me the refund even though I didn’t even use the membership with them. Screw them. Find something else.

This company literally ruined my life. 6 years ago, I started my fitness journey when my doctor said I would develop diabetes. I went through a transformation. My entire life changed. A year ago, it all changed again when this sickening excuse for a company entirely demolished the program that allowed my fitness journey to be possible, in turn, destroying my years of progress and future ability to stay healthy and fit. Now, I have gained 60 pounds of fat and am pre-diabetic again if not close to being fully Type-2. Thank you, Active and Fit. You ruined my life.

DO NOT DO THIS. There is no grace period in which you can cancel your membership. The minute you sign up, you are required to pay for two months worth of gym memberships. I called to cancel 5 minutes after--I did not intend for it to go through--and they would not give me a refund! I have never experienced such horrendous customer service in my life!

Their billing is the WORST! The current bill dated 2/3/25 is to pay for 3/1/25 - 3/31/25 per customer service reps. However, the ACTUAL BILL states I'm paying for 2/3/25 - 3/3/25. I've called and also sent an email about how shady this billing is, but I don't think the reps even understand my concern. I've asked for it to be escalated to a supervisor, but it never makes it beyond the initial person. I give up!!! I understand billing and paying in advance, but why not bill 3/1 for 3/1/25 - 3/31/25 AND have the actual bill reflect dates I'm truly paying for. Geez!!!!

I could not even find the monthly cost for a membership to a premium club I wanted to join without setting up an account which required submitting my personal data, but since I accessed the site through by BlueCross account and it populated my data automatically from my health insurance account, I thought it must be trustworthy. Once I did that I found their membership announcement was THREE TIMES the cost of joining the club premium membership directly. I think this group is a data harvesting service and shocked that legit businesses such as Blue Cross Blue shield and AAA have associate relationships with them.

My gym was not getting paid by Active and Fit even though all criteria were met. Customer chat on website is useless AI which only refers you to FAQ, why even have AI then? Waited on hold for over 10 minutes twice, still couldn't talk to a human. A few months ago when I did talk to a human, she said i do not have an Active and Fit Direct account technically since its all through my insurance which made it confusing for Active and Fit. Either way, done arguing, not worth my time anymore, Ill just pay the $39 dollar gym fee direct to my gym. Great idea, horrible execution.

I joined and the club I selected had gone out of business. Now I am struggling to get a refund. Talk about poor customer service.

This service was great until they changed their policies the summer of 2024. You use to be able to utilize multiple gyms in your network at the same cost. Now there are additional cost per gym. When the switch happen, my home gym was changed to a different gym without my doing. They told me it would be $30 to change my gym back to what I had it set as. The customer service is horrendous... Highly recommend avoiding this organization!

Horrible company. Paid for a membership then went to the gym and continuously said I had no account through Active and Fit. Huge scam of a site that takes your money and does not give you what you paid for. Then when you call them out on it they don't even refund you. I don't write reviews but people need to know how corrupt they are.

You will be better off paying for memberships separately. Primary Membership is $28 plus additional memberships are $23. You are better off getting Trufit for $10 a month and planet fitness for $9.99. Active and Fit was to help military members with the rising coast of gym memberships but somehow they were influenced by inflation and now they're charging more than the actual gym membership. Whoever is in charge of analytics needs a new job.

I can’t give zero stars unfortunately! I’m hoping that emblem health is just not aware of this bullshit scam as I’m doing fine with Emnkem! What a bullshit company thus active and fit garbage is!

This company is less than two stars on every review platform I could find. How they got above 1.0 is surprising. This is a company that clearly deserves zero stars if that was possible.

Active &Fit has zero value anymore. Why are they needed when many gym fees are the same or less than the monthly A&F fee? It makes no sense. It is now a waste of money. Save your cash and join a gym directly. They operate as a broker who does no work or negotiating for you. Customer service is awful and rarely can you even get through to somebody. Yes, they have exercise videos but so does YouTube and every other streaming channel… for free. Zero value! I dropped A&F.

My membership was not honored by the gym and when I asked A&F for my refund on the same day my membership was supposed to start I did not get a response for TWO WEEKS just for them to say that since 5 days had passed I was no longer eligible for a refund. They are SCAMMERS.

This service seems like a great idea but the website, the account debits and the customer service are all awful. I would recommend avoiding this service all together. It would be less trouble to pay full price for each gym separately then to endure the headache that is Active and Fit direct. I wish I could give this service 1/2 star.

Signed up and went to my designated gym. They did not recognize Active and Fit and I was denied this service. I disputed the charge with my credit card company. Active and Fit would not refund the money.

Do not use this service

I would like the ability to change gyms if I want, etc. but the billing was all off. When I started, I delayed using the gym until the following month since there are no pro rata charges if you start near the end of the month. After a few months, I noticed that the first payment didn't seem to get credited to anything. I called and was told, contrary to what the billing statement says on its face, that billing is always 2 months ahead (so on Nov 1, I pay for Dec 1 - 31 instead of Nov 1-30). However, the billing statement says that the payment is for Nov 1-30. I just asked for something stating that in writing since it is contrary to what the statement says and she told me she could not give me anything. That does not make any sense so I had to cancel my membership. I would probably be fine with it if this aspect of the service didn't seem so shady.

Before paying to sign up for a gym membership, it has stated that I could sign up my spouse for an additional fee. Doing this would avoid annual fees and keep the membership month to month. This was absolutely not true as after I signed up, I was not given the option to sign my spouse up. Customer support was very friendly and confirmed that I wasn't allowed to with my health insurance, this issuing a refund since I called the same day. Low and behold, I got half a refund. When I reached out via email, I was told it was a non refundable fee for signing up, even though I didn't get what I was signing up for and it wasn't stated anywhere beforehand that I would have restrictions on signing my spouse up with my for a gym membership. Avoid this company with how deceptive their marketing is. I wish I had checked their trust pilot rating before signing up.

This is a ass company DO NOT make the mistake of signing up with them and their customer service is a piece of work that don't know how to do thier job TERRIBLE TERRIBLE people. Save your time and money and just sign up with the actual fitness cetner you want to go to.
