I own a website from the early 1990's…
I own a website from the early 1990's when it was a much simpler process. I moved some years later to host with 123 Reg not under that name then. I have in the process of years become old and not really up to speed with modern hosting.
Throughout the years staff have always helped me beyond I imagine entitlement. I used it to obtain my emails through name@site which functioned lifting them through Thunderbird. in recent years I have had problems sending emails and it finally would not function at all on my smartphone completely.
A most helful member of staff Vlad talked me through the whole process of creating Microsoft Outlook.office email, and migrating my website to more secure server and creating security. This for someone over 70 with no help would have been impossible. This has given me the ability to move into the future for another while.
Vlad made an old man very happy, taking one more stress of my shoulders, simple to many but a life saver to myself.

Fantastic phone support
After an absolute nightmare dealing with past domain providers, I am very pleased that I have switched to 123reg. I have no real knowledge of domains at all and their customer service has been top notch, really helpful and kind phone reps (I have called three times about separate issues/queries) who have sorted out my problems super quickly, whilst being very willing to explain the process so that I can understand more for next time. I also got through to someone within one ring each time - unheard of these days! Thank you so much, would recommend to anyone!

Good service as usual

I no longer needed my website so I cancelled and closed the account a few weeks ago.
Since then I’m getting several daily emails to re join.

They promised a lot, but did nothing.
They promised to build a professional website. They sent me beautiful samples that I could choose for my website. Then they showed me two sketches that were far from the one I chose. When I expressed my dissatisfaction, they said I only had two attempts to make changes and unilaterally canceled the order without a refund. In the end, no website, no money. I was able to get a refund through the bank, but they blocked my email. A terrible experience working with such unprofessional people. They promised a lot, but did nothing.

Great name - Rubbish customer service
Our website and emails where hosted by TSOHOST for a number of years. It was trouble free and good support. Unfortunately 123Reg took over the company and my website and emails were transfered. Since then I had nothing but trouble with emails beeing without service for days at a time. Support was poor and inconsistant - every agent I have spoken had a different view as to what is causing the problem and every time it was taken as an individual case rather than looking at the whole picture to see that theremust be a fundamental problem. when eventually the last case was escalated their response was in an email requesting to email them details! Hello! the issue is that my emails are not working!
I have lost days of business and hours on the phone.
Despite my MANY requests for a manager to call me so far nobody had bothered to do so.
Yesterday I had enough and desided to part from this useless organisation.
123Reg is about their excellent marketing posing as a leader in the field. Great service until something is not working. This is when you find how bad they are.
I would STRONGLY recomend anybody to look for alternatives.

Could not be a more frustrating…
Could not be a more frustrating service. It regularly asks me for my password into my webmail account for not reason. When I put it in my saved password it's rejected and the loop begins unless I clear my cache. So I'm constantly changing it and am in a vicious loop between my account email and professional email. Will be changing my service as this is now the fourth time! To get anyone online or over the phone equally as annoying. Even had my old IT guy from my old job try to sort and he was totally confused, though did get working.

Problematic and very slow customer service
I would think very carefully before signing up to 123-reg. I have been with them for about 7/8 years now and I have had many issues with both my website builder package not working as it should do, and with receiving prompt help from Customer Service when I do raise an issue. If I had my time again, I would have gone with a different website provider.
