Halifax plc have drastically reduced their number of branches, and with it the number of customer options too. So to withdraw a higher than my daily limit I contacted Halifax to arrange for the withdrawal to made at my local post office. IT CAN'T BE DONE! So I have to go to my nearest branch. So giving them my location and postcode they inform me my nearest branches are: Dereham, Norfolk or London!! Both 100-200miles away. When I pointed this out I was told they couldn't see a nearer bank.
So my only option is to go to my nearest post office or cash machine every day for the next four days! Ridiculous or what. They really haven't thought this through from the customers point of view. I am both disgusted and furious.

The Best Truckers Stop I’ve Been to
Texstar Travel Center in Temple Texas is AMAZING! The food is fresh made. The Truckers parking with great lighting is the best I’ve been to so far. They have a fenced in dog park which my dog loved. The bathrooms very clean and sparkling. The shower….AMAZING. There was no down side to my 24 hour stay. The staff is friendly and inviting. It does cost to park and it is worth every penny. I highly recommend staying!

BECU Bank treat people like criminals!
On 29 July I transferred a lump sum from my NatWest UK account to BECU, 615 North Sullivan Road Suite D, Spokane Valley, WA 99037. This was a private transaction and quite a large amount. I heard from my friends that they couldn't get the money out and decided to call customer services from BECU, who were absolutely not helpful and kept on repeating that I was not a member and they could not give me information about the transaction, which was in fact still MY money as my friends couldn't get it out.
Anyway, I decided not to bother with them anymore and went straight to the CEO of BECU, Benson Porter, email: benson.porter at becu.org, and explained it to me. Don't expect an answer from him as he passed it through to Gregg Kats, email gregg.kats at becu.org and his phone number 206 439 5071 who is apparently the senior vice president of administration & services. Useless one though and tells a lot of fibs to keep MY money.
That was a real experience. He tagged me along for 12 days with his emails etc. Luckily I have put everything in writing as I didn't want to call him as it felt that he was not really trustworthy. Nowadays emails are legal documents. Please always remember that!
Yesterday I found out, when my friends called him, that the amount I transferred to them via BECU is handled by the fraud department from BECU! He never told me that though and in the last email I received from him on August 11th, he told me that he considered this case closed on his end and the ball was in their (my friends) court failing to tell me that it wasn't, as it has been all the time in the fraud department. I call this downright lies that he never told me that.
I don't know what BECU bank is but I get a nasty feeling about the way they treat legit transactions and it seems to me that they just want to keep the money and never intended to give it to my friends. This is unlawful as they never contacted me to check and if I hadn't contacted Gregg Kats myself with CEO Benson Porter not bothered to send me a reply, I would have never known that BECU (Gregg Kats) had never the intention to pay out the money. I advised my friend to call Gregg Kats directly and gave them his email address and a direct line to contact him. They did and then at last found out what happened to MY money which I transferred to my friends. So totally out of order.
I now contacted my bank here in the UK and have them recall MY money which is absolutely not a payment to BECU bank as I am not a member of their bank and if I would ever live in Spokane Valley, I would certainly avoid them as the plaque.
The most annoying thing about the BECU bank is that they make their own rules and simply don't tell the truth. I know I will lose a lot of money by recalling MY money and they won't take any responsibility for that.
I am not a criminal and neither are my friends. This was a legit transaction and not a scam and please Mr Gregg Kats don't act as if you wanted to 'protect' me and/or my friends as you knew where the money was and failed to tell me time after time. Appalling behaviour from your side and you are senior vice president?!? Most probably from telling fibs!
In the meantime, it is now August 14th and I must be glad when I have MY money back towards the end of the week. Shame on the two persons I mentioned. But feel free to use their details and maybe someone else will get more joy out of it than I did. Now my bank here in the UK will recall my payment. I wonder how long that will take before they will act on the recall from my bank.
An update about BECU
In the meantime it is August 24 and still no money back in my account!
I contacted Benson Porter directly on August 17 and he contacted Gregg Kats with the following email:
Gregg - I’m assuming the recipients are our member and the receptor team of the wire from this individual. Did we ever hear from the recipients and what is the status of releasing l/returning the funds. Just trying to keep up :). Thanks
I was grateful he copied me in though.
The reply from Gregg Kats came 2 days later and reads as follows:
Due to the many inconsistencies in the story, the money will be returned to the originating bank on Friday, the 19th. I spoke to the recipient and explained this to her as well. This case is now truly closed.
In the meantime it is August 24th and no money in my bank account. This means that BECU maybe still have the money and didn't return it and never acted on the recall from my bank.
I only know that I have been lied to and as I made it an urgent payment, I expected the same treatment from BECU, but it proves that BECU is not to be trusted and is not even a bank as I tried to file an official complaint about BECU. It is a Credit Union and not a bank!
Just keep in mind that Gregg Kats doesn't tell the truth and he is representing the Service department as the Vice President?!?

Buying over the phone (I'd already tried the brand I wanted in a store in London) wasn't easy but fortunately I made contact qith English-speaking Paul in the shop. Paul was brilliant: heloful, patient, responsive when I asked Qs on WhatsApp. Simply the best service and advice, Paul is Norwegian but working in Albir Cycling. Without him the store would not have had a sale. Thanks to Paul.
Beware of Light Bulb Cameras.
I recently purchased a Light Bulb Camera from support@shops-support. This camera just screws into a light bulb socket and downloads to your WIFI. When I received the camera, I couldn't get it to download to my WIFI. The manual that came with the unit was in very small print that I had to use a powerful magnifying glass to read it. I finally found out that this cameral would only work with a 2.4G WFI and won't support a 5G WIFI. I was unaware that this was an issue when I ordered it and nowhere did I know that the unit would not work on my 5G WIFI. I requested a full refund, or an exchange with a Light Bulb Cameral that would support a 5G WIFI. I got a complete run-a-round from their support team and was told that they delivered the correct product and tough luck. They delivered the product, but because of their misleading advertisement, it won't work on my 5G WIFI. I explained this to them, but they denied my claim for a refund, or exchange with nor recourse. Please be aware that there are a lot of these Light Bulb Cameras out there for purchase and before you order one, make sure that the advertisement indicates that the Light Bulb Camera will work on a 2.4G and a 5G WIFI. If you have a 5G WIFI, do not order this product if the ad reads supports 2.4G WIFI. Unfortunately, this company would not honor my complaint and now have a Light Bulb Camera that won't work and out of my money to purchase the product. Also, make sure you deal with a reputable company that will honor your complaint and not give you a run-a-round.

Catastrophic failings of West Sussex County council adult care which led to my vulnerable brother who suffers paranoid schizophrenia to be sectioned for two whole months after three weeks of trying to get him into a safe place due to the appalling failure and lack of duty of care from the west Sussex County Council adult services. As my brothers official name is Ciara and next of kin the West Sussex County Council adult services refused to even speak to me even though I have Power Of Attorney and have my brother’s best interest at heart it is their failure to communicate that also lead to my brother suffering and in fact social work at 4:30 years it was only thanks to me that he acquired won last year. The head of mental health service Marie Bliss has even blocked myself and Keith Hinckley the executive director of health services also refuses to communicate with me silence says everything they are an appalling County Council who certainly do not have the interest of vulnerable people in the community at heart. I speak as not only care about as a campaigner for vulnerable people in the Worthing area. Not only that but they have failed to answer my official complaint regarding the appalling care from Venture People Nigel’s support worker and they have denied Nigel his right to take over his finances regarding support. They have also felt annoyed that I have power-of-attorney which makes them utterly liable for catastrophic suffering but my brother has experience at their hands shame on you West Sussex County council adult care your story will be out in the press soon and you will be sued! I’m only giving you one star because I can’t give no stars due to the limitations of this site you deserve no stars!

I will never use Kiwi again!!!! I booked and then I had a covid test and it was positive so I have to cancel my standard ticket. I could not change it at that stage because I didn't know when I could fly again. It was 3 people and luggage so basically I have lost a ton of money. I am NOT happy. You cannot get hold of anyone and when you send a msg which I did twice you get no response. Very, very bad service. I fly all the time, maybe 6 times a year and I will NOT use Kiwi again. Just very frustrating!!!!
